Excellent staff all around very easy to deal with. We had an small issue with room but they were very attentive to our needs. Alysha (not spelled correctly) was exceptional and worthy of some praise for sure. The bed in the room we had was surprisingly VERY comfortable, pillows as well.

There wasn't much not like, the location is a bit out of the way without a car, but there's a ZR right outside of the hotel that takes you into town if needed.

Beautiful property, our Carriage House room was generous and comfortable, tastefully decorated (there was a kitchen, but it wasn’t well equipped, if we’d wanted to make meals). The grounds were very nice and the overlook to the Caribbean offered wonderful views. We had a rental car and the location was convenient to the airport, to Bridgetown and the cruise terminal and easy enough to roads leading to other sights on the island. The staff were lovely, very friendly and attentive.

While the peacocks were certainly nice to look at, the incessant squawking was not enjoyable. Hate to say it, but some culling might be needed. The restaurant, for breakfast and dinner, was also nice, but clearly post-COVID staffing issues remain. Natalie was wonderful and did her best solo to take orders, make cocktails, run food, etc. Meals were generous and delicious, but wait times were longish. Prices were very high, but that was the case most places in Barbados. We also didn’t receive a bill at each meal, presented only with a total when we checked out, with no details to review for correctness.

We had a wonderful stay at Sweetfield Manor Barbados. Visited for the ICC Cricket T20 final where the Indian cricket team provided us with memories of a lifetime! Planned 3 nights but forced to stay another due to hurricane Beryl. The staff took excellent care of us, shifting us to a safer, larger room, providing meals free of charge. More than anything the care they showed reduced our anxiety being stranded with closed airports, cancelled flights experiencing our first category 4 hurricane. Thanks to Alicia and all the mgmt/staff. We will surely come again next time at Barbados! p.s the peacocks and beautiful hardens also make this property unique and beautiful.

The room was a 10 out of 10. Clean, modern, the shower was huge, the bed was comfortable.

Location wasn’t great. It was a good 25 minute walk to the nearest beach. Access to transport was limited. If you wanted to get anywhere, particularly in the evenings, then you would need a cab. Facilities in the hotel weren’t amazing. There are beds on a grass area. Not really somewhere you would want to lounge around in during the day. I only used the hotel for my room.

The room (Flamboyance) that I had was very good: spacious, high ceiling, nice bathroom. A private deck with comfortable furniture. From the room and the deck one can see the sea. I much liked the character of the hotel, a bit boutique like, not too many rooms. Very quiet location. Beautiful, large garden, a secluded swimming pool and many peacocks

The location of the hotel is its only problem, meaning that it is a 30-minute walk from there to the seaside to find another bar or restaurant. You basically have no choice but to use the hotel bar and restaurant which are fine by the way, except that they don't take any orders for dinner after 8pm..

The whole property is beautiful and the buildings and rooms have an old world charm. The gardens are immaculately kept and the swimming pool is stunning. There is a beautiful spot out the back when you can see the sunset over the water and peacocks roam the gardens all day. They are noisy in the morning so bring earbuds ! We absolutely loved this stunning property and will miss it. We didn’t want to leave

Absolutely everything about our stay was perfect! All the staff were lovely, and really looked after us during our stay. We ate at the Pavoa restaurant most nights as we had a bit of work to do and the food was almost always delicious. We also made use of the spa and the pool. The peacocks are just stunning, and the grounds are a peaceful oasis away from the hustle and bustle. Our room (the captains quarters) was excellent. We would definitely stay here again!

All food and service was excellent; chef really does a terrific job. Restaurant and bar area were very clean, nice, and convenient. Flexibility on check-in and check-out would help in customer satisfaction. Flight schedules made this a problem. Pool and lounge area were superb!

Need to let potential customers know steps are involved (rest rooms require descending 12 steps from the entrance and lobby level. This was difficult for one of us.

A beautiful two night stay at the end of our time in Barbados. Sweetfield Manor is so lovely and peaceful. Our room was spacious, very comfortable and had a view of the sea in the distance. The communal seating and pool area were relaxing and quiet. Having the peacocks stroll the gardens was gorgeous - previous reviews had mentioned that they are noisy, but we didn't find this at all! The staff were extremely friendly and accommodating - it was a great help to us to be able to use the spa shower after we had checked out so that we could enjoy a beach day before a late flight. The highlight was certainly our free short massage on the koi carp pond, which was just such a relaxing touch and a really special bonus. I would certainly recommend Sweetfield Manor for those seeking some peace and relaxation from their time on the island.

The restaurant prices (including breakfast) are on the pricey side and the restaurant was generally very quiet during our stay. It was also unclear whether the bar was open during the day as nobody was using it. No matter - we found some good food and drink options within a 20 minute walk. The location is slightly out of the way - 20 min walk to the nearest beach (Pebbles/Brownes), but this is also part of the charm, especially as the hotel has a good view over towards Carlisle Bay.
