Breakfast had a great variety - if I wasn't working I would have had a glass of fizz Didnt use the spa as didnt have time Restaurant was fully booked so we ate in the bar, which is lovely but was disappointed that our second night (due to flight cancellation) on sunday wasnt open neither was the bar - so had to eat out Joke on reception was absolutely amazing - she was able to arrange a further night stay for us due to our flights being cancelled and when the bar was closed, was able to arrange drinks for us - she is a credit to Martins!

Restaurant & bar not being open on the Sunday, after a long day supporting an event was well needed, so had to eat out - shame

For breakfast we had a broad range of options, from 6 types of bread to 6 types of cornflakes/granola, fresh fruits and juice, bacon and eggs... So we enjoyed it a lot. The amneties in the room were all there plus airco keeping the room at a nice temperature.

Our room was on the ground floor with view on the parking lot, but there is nothing to do about that. Small tip, for a room on the ground floor, I found that there was no help in the bathroom for elderly peopl. It doesn't have to, but it might be a nice thing to add

Had to walk down to the castle and at my age was quite painful specially the climb back.Wish there was some transport back to the hotel.

Fantastic stay and would highly recommend for short or longer stays. My only qualm really was that the restaurant and bar was closed on the Friday and Saturday evening due to private functions which was a bit disappointing as it would have been lovely to fully enjoy the hotel facilities. Apart from that , then an amazing stay in an amazing hotel.

Great location, fantastic room and good included breakfast. Staff are very friendly and helpful.

Pool / wellness facilities were a little on the expensive side, but very well maintained. Pool was a little cold, but the room and sauna / steam rooms were hot enough to compensate.

Very nice, quiet and modern hotel. The modern design fits well the green neighborhood and the historic building, part of the hotel. The room is bright thanks to large windows. So are hotel corridors and the restaurant. High quality restaurant with very good dinners (gourmet) and breakfast with a wide choice. We liked particularly the choice of juices. Small, but very well equipped spa, with a well conceived outdoor terrace.

In a perfect world, we would have liked to have green tea available for breakfast and a hammam that would be working. For our personal taste, we would prefer to have drawers in the bed tables and better arranged shelves for clothes in closets.

The breakfast was very good with a lot of options. The decoration and the atmosphere were nice, with interesting paintings and sculptures. The hotel is located next to a beautiful castle.

Clean, tidy, good size room. Loved the natural garden and parking secure and convenient

We were disappointed with the bar. Small, narrow and dark. The adjacent courtyard was beautiful but bare. High wall, no views, no plants, greenery, like sitting in a prison yard.

From a quiet and beautiful location, over friendly staff, to a good breakfast offer, the hotel has certainly delivered on the expectations. The wellness space was sufficient for some quite family moments even amidst Belgian school holidays. The neighbouring areas offer wonderful walking routes from local castles (e.g. Alden Biesen) and monasteries (e.g. Herkenrode Abbey), over Munsterbilzen forests, to Zonhoven marches. The neighbouring Bilzen, Hoeselt, Tongeren offer a surprisingly lush restaurant scene. Add to it Hasselt, the heart of Limburg province that sits a short drive away, but also Maastricht, with all its history and culture, and you are set for a surprisingly enriching experience for a short stay “somewhere in Flanders.”

Breakfest very good, the lady bartender gave a good service and recommendation for drinks.

Due to shortage of staff, no coffee at breakfast at 7:15( both coffee machines malfunctioning), boiled eggs and the bacon were cold.
