Perfect location for anyone visiting the battlefield site and museum, excellent restaurant, very busy with locals. The staff were very welcoming and helpful and although on the basic side, the room was perfectly adequate and the view over the farm of Le Hay Saint was just glorious. Very comfortable bed as well
This is not a new hotel and you may notice its age if you are minded to look for it. I would suggest your time is better spent enjoying the location instead

The location is excellent for visiting the Waterloo sights. The hotel was easy to find and had good free parking. The food in the restaurant was great. The WiFi was good. There was a bath in the bathroom.
No kettle in the room - frankly it was a really small room - which wouldn’t have been so bad if they provided coffee making facilities, but they didn’t. The restaurant charged €7 for two coffees. The restaurant was not cheap - a discount for guests would have been appreciated.

If you’re here for the battlefield, this is THE place to stay. What a thrill to look out of our room window (named after Ney ‘the bravest of the brave’) and see La Haye Sainte 250 yards to our front left and Wellington’s crossroads 50 yards to our left (the hotel is about where Ompteda’s KGL troops would have been on the day itself). Staff were very friendly and helpful. Take the breakfast option as it really set us up for a couple of days walking across the battlefield. The Maximus Restaurant on site is superb and clearly well regarded by the locals who formed the overwhelming majority of the clientele when we ate there.
The restaurant was closed on Sunday :((

The staff were very nice and helpful although it was a struggle to communicate due to their English level. Breakfast was good and the hotel room that I was given was nice with views to the battlefield. The area is quiet at night and I slept very well.
Lack of availability of taxis. You are better off renting a car or using public transport.

Clean, decent sized room. Only minutes from the Waterloo museum so perfect for our trip. Had a bar so could have a drink at any time, which was good after visiting the battlefield, especially as the bars outside the museum are so poor. The restaurant in the evening was excellent. Seemed to be mainly locals coming for dinner.
Very strangely, the road outside seems to be popular with idiots who like to use it for racing motorbikes and cars. From early in the morning we were woken up by cars revving and speeding past our window.

Charming small hotel and restaurant overlooking Waterloo battlefield and monument. Good breakfast buffet. On-site parking.
As I stayed on a Monday night off-season, the hotel's restaurant was closed in the evening (bad-timing: it was open other nights in the week), but fortunately there is a good Italian restaurant next door.

A really delightful small hotel. Spectacular views across the Lion on the Hill Waterloo Battle Fields. The staff were really lovely, the room was a good size and our bed was very comfy. We had dinner & breakfast here and the food was delicious.
No Air conditioning in the rooms and no milk or tea spoons provided. That was all, otherwise everything was great.

The room was clean and well laid out. The furnishings were comfortable and the facilities provided were excellent. The location for a battlefield tour of Waterloo is second to none and as I had a room overlooking La Haye Sainte could not have been better. The staff were friendly and helpful, and the food in the restaurant each evening was of a very good standard. Breakfast was good with scrambled eggs, bacon and cooked mushrooms available as well as a continental breakfast.
There was nothing really not to like.

Was a last minute booking after our trip to the battlefield, and turned out great. I've forgotten his name.., but friendly check-in/reception, and we bought a few drinks from him, as well. Good spread of items for breakfast. I think it was an extra charge, but my wife and I thought it was worth it. The room was bigger than I was expecting, but I think we got upgraded because we got in late and it was the only room left. Don't quote me on that though. Also, you can walk right out of the hotel and see the Lion Mound lit up at night. Have a steady hand if you want a good picture.
The parking lot is tight, but we still managed to squeeze our CR-V into a spot without dinging anyone's door. You could also park along the road in front of the hotel, fyi. Lots of room out there.

Breakfast was great, the location was spot on. The restaurant was very good, overall a great place to stay. If you want to tour the Battlefield at Waterloo this location is superb overlooking The Lion Mound
I don't think any of us found anything to complain about.
