Staff were amazing. Nametso and Babedi at the front desk and Stephans in the restaurant. The slim lady who made eggs at breakfast was pleasant too. Rooms were clean. Location was secure. There was a general warm culture in the hotel overall. I highly recommend.

Breakfast was rich though for the week we were there it was the same meals everyday. Good thing you could mix differently on some days. Overall, enjoyed and looked forward to breakfast. The last night of my stay, I think the cleaner got some paper towels clogged in the basin while washing up. So, the drain was not letting water flow out properly. This was a bit annoying and should have been checked. But, to be honest, I didn't fuss too much about this as the whole room and restroom was properly/thoroughly cleaned daily.

Cons: Check-in time: I had to wait for a long time to be checked in despite having booked days early.

Thankfully, the hotel accepts all credit cards, compared to most in Gaborone, who prefer cash. Reception desk is 24 hours, so whatever you need, they always do their utmost to help. Shuttle service is available from the airport to the hotel. Staff are excellent, Stephen / Stefan you,re a credit to your job. But honestly everyone was brilliant, nothing was too much to ask. Rooms were beautiful, always clean and plenty of towels and toiletries. Absolutely great views over the capital. Room service is available and speedy. Different types of rooms to suit all needs ie families, couples, singles. There are also self catering apartments if inclined. Iron / ironing board and laundry cleaning is available at a touch of a button. Free parking. Free wifi. Free gym facilities, swimming pool and pool bar on third floor with great views over the city. As a single traveller, its very safe and inclusive. A variety of restaurants to tease the taste buds. A great selection of wines. The management team was frequently present and readily available, providing reassurance to clients and customers.

I can't say the same about the food; on Fridays and weekends, the hotel would run out of certain items, such as vegetables and some other foods I can't recall. The dessert menu was disappointing, offering only cake and fruit cocktail with ice cream. I really wanted tiramisu, which was listed on the menu, but it was somehow unavailable every night.

Very nice hotel. Staff were amazing; so friendly and helpful. The room was large and comfortable. Wifi was good for messaging and searching, but sometimes dropped out with intensive use (e.g. streaming video). The water pressure in the shower was great, but the shower leaked under the door a bit and soaked the towels (not a problem for me as a guest but I felt bad for hospitality). Excellent location in the centre of the CBD and felt very safe to walk outside, e.g. to a supermarket close by. Decent facilities as well like a small gym and small pool. Again, A* customer service from all involved.

Shower leakage was the only real issue. My room wasn't very quiet because I was on the side overlooking the square with several cafes and bars below, and there was some building work going on during my stay.

We were upgraded to a bigger room but unfortunately requested to be moved from the first room because the noise from the club down stairs made it unbearable, the cleanliness was not up to standard and the TV channels were frozen. The second (standard) room was very comfortable, cleanliness met the expectation and there was zero noise. The staff was very friendly during and in providing the second room. The dinner from the recommended hotel restaurant downstairs was a disappointment. The fish was unbearably soggy with oil. The service was excellent though from the waiter serving us but we decided to just 'cut the loss' on the meals. The breakfast menu and meals were great, but the venue was too hot and could use air conditioning instead of the open doors.

The location of the hotel is great and central to everything I needed, the room I stayed in was lovely. I staff were friendly and helpful as always and the breakfast was delicious. All of these are reasons I booked this hotel again for this trip, as I had stayed there during my first visit to Gaborone last year.

As a person who suffers from sinusitis, you can smell the moisture in the hotel passages, please look into the ventilation for those areas. There were also strands of hair on the hotel room floors which would mean it was not swept well before I checked in. Other than that, everything was good.

I didnt like the fact that the Hotel is not accepting my cancellation for a booking that is later in October. confirmation number for that booking is 4733432654, I am battling to cancel this booking and Booking.com is not helping either. I already spoke to the Hotel and they said yes they will cancel for no charge but they can not get a notification from you for the cancellation. Could you please help with that and let me know

Please ensure the dessert menu is fully stocked throughout the weekend; as Protea/Marriott, you have set high expectations but need to follow through. Your reputation is what keeps me returning, so I urge you to enhance the food quality. Additionally, during breakfast, consider covering the bread, cured meats, and cheese with a light, transparent cover to prevent flies from getting to the food before the guests do.

The breakfast was decent and the place was clean and comfortable . The reception attended to my request quickly which was very helpful.

Even when I told them I am leaving at 5:30 in the morning and they had written my name down they objected to me having breakfast which I had paid for. I ended up just having a coffee at the airport so that I don't spoil my day.
