Great place to stay in beautiful Santa Teresa! We loved our stay at CasaJomo. Dacia and family are amazing hosts, so sweet and they will make sure you have a wonderful stay. Dacia gave us many tips and helped us where help was needed. Very good homemade and fresh breakfast every day. The B&B is well located in the beautiful and safe district Santa Teresa. The B&B is beautiful, clean and comfortable. A good place where you can rest after a hot or busy day in Rio. There is a nice street nearby with good food, nice boutiques, a pharmacia and a local bakery (good açai and pão de queijo) and easy to reach by Uber. It felt like home and we would definitely stay here again!

As a solo traveler on my first trip to Rio during my round-the-world journey, I felt a little anxious at first. But thanks to my host Dacia's warm hospitality, my stay turned out to be truly wonderful. Her attention to detail was exceptional - she kindly provided helpful information about nearby restaurants and even arranged a day tour for me, helping me create unforgettable memories. The room itself was also beautifully decorated and full of charm - it was really memoable. On top of that, the homemade breakfasts prepared by her mother were absolutely delicious - I really enjoyed it every morning. The fresh juice served each day was especially refreshing and felt like it nourished me from within. I'm truly grateful for everything and will always remember this stay with a warm heart.

The house is located in beautiful Santa Teresa in a quiet side street. It's just a few minutes' walk to the center of the district, where you can enjoy samba, good food and the local art scene. The rooms are large and very nicely furnished, the pool and the shared terraces, where breakfast is also served, invite you to relax. Dacia and her family are wonderful hosts who take great care of you and give you advices according to your own interests so that your stay is perfect. I will definitely be back!

The place is Immaculate, a good variety of breakfast every single morning, especially the freshly made juice. The location is central at Santa Elena, which is an excellent neighbourhood.Exceeded all my expectations. Dacia, the owner, a hood host, gave me a lot of recommendations where to eat as in a very nice and reputable restaurant. Literally, she organised all my daily trips the best.I would highly recommend this place...definitely come back to Casa Jomo 100%, no doubt about it..

The property is very well located in Santa Teresa. A beautiful and safe district for tourists with plenty historical buildings. Santa Teresa centre, Lapa district and various other highlights of Rio are in walking distance or can be reached by taking an Uber. The property is beautiful, the rooms are clean and comfortable, it includes a nice pool to relax and cool down after a hot day in Rio. The trees surrounding the property hosts many small animals that can be seen and enjoyed, small monkeys that jump from leaf to leaf, colorful small birds flying around. It feels more like a natural environment than the beaches area, where everything seems to be build for tourists. This area is where the wealthier part of society of Rio has been settled down for many years. The hostess, Dacia and her mom, do a very great job in making you feel welcome and do everything they can to deliver you a nice stay. A plus is they all speak English natively, so communication is very easy for our non-portuguese speakers. Two bars, a restaurant (who serves really good pizza!) and a little shop are located near the property, a two-minute walk. Would definitely come back here!

The host and her whole family are super friendly and helpful. My stay at this hotel couldn't have been any better. I loved the art and all the details. And of course the amazing rooftop terrace with pool. The rich and always changing breakfast, freshly made by the host's mom is so delicious. If you're looking for a quiet place to stay in the middle of three craziness and the business of Rio de Janeiro - look no further!

The - really - only thing I didn't like that much was the fact that sometimes it was not easy to find an Uber to get me back to the hotel. Usually in the night and when it's been raining as the hotel is located quite high and the streets are very steep. A taxi is always a very good option then.

Very warm welcome. Dacia and her mother are preparing delicious breakfast, different every day. Dacia speaks 7 languages and is available and super reactive on messages and provide a lot of nice recommendations proactively.

A little bit cold room during the winter but we had exceptional cold weather.

We honestly lovely everything. The rooms were clean and spacious and the whole place was quiet and chilled. Dacia was an incredible host, she made us feel so welcome and helped us with anything we needed. The breakfast was genuinely amazing, and we found ourselves looking forward to our breakfast more than we did eating out in Rio! Initially we were skeptical as there are so many 5 star reviews, and we were also unsure on the area. But upon staying here we had nothing to be concerned about; the excellent reviews are beyond justified and I’m actually really glad we stayed in Santa Teresa as it was such a nice area, quieter and cleaner than the downtown areas, with a quirky vibe that was really nice to be in. It wasn’t too much hassle to get from the apartment to downtown either - a short walk and a train or an Uber straight to wherever you need to go. I genuinely can’t recommend this place enough!

A gem of a hotel. Right in the heart of bohemian Rio- Santa Teresa is in the top ten places to visit in the lonely planet guide to Rio. Dacia was a wonderful host; friendly and incredibly helpful. She made the trip for us. The breakfasts are healthy and fulfilling all made from scratch by Desiree the hosts mother.

Very welcoming host with her family, it felt like home. We could ask everything and we were able to change the rooms very easily. The location was nice and quiet, a bit far from the center but more charming. Having a pool during this hot time was a nice addition.
