The hotel is super well located just a few minutes walking to the "Arcos da Lapa" and "Selaron Stairs". The infrastructure, including the pool and amenities, is really good. The room was decent-sized, the beds comfortable, and the room was really clean. The breakfast was all I hoped for, with fresh fruits, juices, breads, and even an "egg" station where you could order your preferred option and it was done right in front of you within a few minutes. The staff was incredibly nice and gave us all the tips we needed and answered all our questions.

The lighting in the room is horrendous, and the shower spilled a bit even with doors completely closed. Service at the pool bar was always understaffed, so it took long to have drinks and food there.

The rooms are spacious with comfortable beds and good a/c. The setting within the hotel is lovely with a great swimming pool and lounge beds around. Competitive price.

The location - Lapa is dirty and dangerous with rubbish and filth piled up in the streets with roads and pavements poorly maintained, with many rough sleepers in the streets, beggars and thieves at certain times of the day - its certainly not a safe place to be wandering around on your own at night nor at certain times of the day over the weekend, especially on a Sunday afternoon when there seems to be a lack of police in this part of the city. While the food options at breakfast are good there is inadequate staffing in the restaurant to make this an entirely pleasant experience with tables un cleared, queues for cooked food, and often unreplenished seed service plates and coffee. Pity.

Room and location were great. The staff was extremely attentive and friendly. The room was clean and comfortable. The hotel facilities were clean and pleasant, and despite its location, very quiet.

Breakfast was fair and plentiful, though not very creative. The egg and tapioca station was okay, but could have used another employee to speed up service, as the line was long most of the time despite the employee's efforts to serve everyone. A menu with options to speed up service could be offered. If there was one, I didn't see it. A conventional electric toaster could be provided. I missed an iron, as the steamer provided by the staff, which is highly requested, takes a long time to iron clothes.

Great staff. I was worried there would be a language barrier but they all speak great English. I flew in early on the New Year's Eve and my room wasn't ready so I was offered a place where I could freshen up. Also my first room was quite shabby - the aircon didn't work, there was no hair dryer and the light in the toilet was broken. When i mentioned the aircon to the front desk staff my room was immediately changed. The room was good in size and quite comfortable overall the pool, always a great addition

the location- it's quite dangerous. I was attacked by a homeless during the day when i was waiting for an uber right in the hotel's corridor (i wasn't even in the street), breakfast - very limited choice of fresh vegetables (only tomatoes)

The location is good, of course you have to be careful when going out on the street, especially in the evening, it's not Santa Teresa! Great pool, you can always find a place on the sun loungers. Breakfast is good, appropriate for the status of the hotel.

The staff was kind but quite uninterested. 15 minutes before the official check-in time, they made me wait. Before arriving, I wrote that the check-in day was my wife's birthday and asked if they could prepare a bottle of sparking wine in the room. I'm still waiting for an answer today. The power adapter was also an insoluble problem for the staff.

We arrived at the hotel at about 10pm at night and it was super easy and fast to check in and get to our room. There was a small shop right next door to get some beverages and snacks at that hour, which was good because it felt a little unsafe to walk too far in the neighborhood. It was a Saturday night and it was very busy in the area. We had a king size bed which was super comfortable. The AC worked great and the breakfast in the morning was nice. Unfortunately it was rainy and cold when we were there so we didn't get to use the pool but it looked beautiful. We were also able to leave our luggage in a locked room until 5pm on our checkout day which was great!

I wish the breakfast had a few vegan options like some vegan buttery spread, a milk alternative, or cheez. But there was so many things, it was easy to find something good for vegans. It would also be nice if the pool and bar area were open later into the evening, they are only open 10am-6pm.

The breakfast was wonderful! The selection of foods at the buffet, and the service was exceptional. I wanted a downtown location, and the hotel courtyard was truly an oasis from the hustle and grime of Centro. The hotel was an easy walk from my conference downtown, as well as top Centro attractions. Although I didn't take advantage of municipal buses, preferring to walk everywhere, numerous bus route makes frequent stops on the Rua Riachuelo half block from the hotel, and the famous Blonde de Sana Teresa tramline to Carioca Station has a stop right around the corner!

Access to the swimming pool is restricted out of consideration for the residents who have apartments on the courtyard, and my work day typically did not allow a refreshing swim before dinner! The water is so enticing!!!! The pool is very well maintained, with a bar.

Very clean, staff is really kind and eager to help. We didn’t enjoyed the pool because we wanted to enjoy the beach but looked nice and not crowded. Location is perfect near to the Saleron stairs. Safe area by night to enjoy the nightlife in Lapa. Kind of Familly oriented so quiet in November when we stayed. Everything was really great.

The gym space could be improved but otherwise nothing to say. Really good ratio price/quality location.

It was a nice experience, one of the staff at the front desk was very nice (can't remember his name) and got us an early check-in since I had my baby with me. We could wait in the pool area and they even let us leave our suitcases for 4 days while we were out in the city to Buzios, it was very kind of them. The breakfast was nice and the people were kind, with good fruits, and nice beds...overall it was a good experience.

The entrance is not wheelchair accessible, or in my case, stroller and suitcase accessible, you have to go down a flight of stairs. It is also right in the middle of the center so parking is not really a thing, a bit chaotic to get out of there and put things in the car.

the breakfast selection was the best thing about this hotel. also, we arrived early but they were able to check is in early as they had available rooms which was SO appreciated! friendly staff!

the only thing that really annoyed me was that it's impossible to do your make up properly. the bathroom didn't have a make up light so it was incredibly dark, and the make up mirror was screwed on so high it was difficult to angle it properly - and I'm 5"9'! The hotel would be perfect if they fixed this.
