💕💕 The roof pool and area was a great surprise! and very welcome in the heat🥵 and even though the hotel is in the middle of a really busy area , our room was at the back of the building and we weren't disturbed by any noise and slept well. It's an old building with thin walls between rooms so just be aware.. It didn't cause us any problems at all though. The bathroom could do with a revamp, as it is dated, but was perfectly adequate for our stay. Plenty of hot water. We found the breakfast fine. Plenty of everything and replenished very quickly by the staff 👍 and a proper toaster for me☺️☺️! We found the staff to be pleasant and courteous.

The welcoming staff was excellent! My wife was slightly disabled and staff quickly grabbed suitcases and moved them where needed. The facilities may be dated, but the friendly, helpful staff made up for it. The bed was comfortable and a good size. It was good to have two wastebaskets. A nearby bar/restaurant had authentic feijoado and we walked to the Lapa arches, the Selaron steps and Catedral Metropolitana de São Sebastião! At breakfast, though the eggs were like little pebbles, there were plenty of choices for savory and sweet tastes.

The bathroom was nicely updated, but the bedroom could use updating. In fact, the hotel itself could use updating. Only the breakfast staff was not welcoming. There were no smiles on faces or greetings like we've had at other hotels.

I liked the cleanliness of the hotel considering the area that it's located in, so busy and smelly but was required to be within walking distance of the carnaval venue. Pool was nice on a hot day and the daily breakfast options were great. Plenty of restaurants near by, could walk to see much with caution of course.

The keycard for the door would just stop working daily, and we'd have to get it reset at the front desk.

There wasn't one thing we didn't like and we stayed for 9 days during carnival. Front desk, bell, housekeeping, breakfast staff all exceptional. We loved the game room and pool for relaxing, the extra breakfast room to have a little space and watch morning TV, and refrigerator in the room. The young woman at the front desk who spoke English was super helpful! Please thank all of the stuff for us as they really made our stay quite wonderful!

Tried 2 times to get food from the restaurant they said was open during our stay but both times it was shut and when trying to order room service they just hung up

We are 7 people from Mongolia, stayed in this hotel three nights. Location is good, at the Lapa region. It is very close 3 minutes walk to Lapa and Selaron Steps. Also you can see old buildings of the Rio, from your hotel for walk. The rooms are very clean, with comfortable beds, staffs have a enough English. They booked us wonderful city tour. Comfortable bad, nice breakfast, good swimming pool.

Very loud during the night, especially on weekends since it is downtown area.

Location is awesome, Saturdays can be light due to the weekend movida but also cool because out of the fire you have the Rio nightlife. Breakfast is awesome.

Nothing, a honest place.

Close to central old town. It was clean, cheap, and the A/C worked. Bathroom was clean good water pressure. Staff were friendly and did speak English so..so... enough to get bye. Breakfast was good, no hot sauce at all or pepper. This is more like a apartment building turned into a hotel. Its more a 2+ hotel than a 3 star. As I said it was okay, not dirty, and in a good location. It met our needs.

The breakfast could have been a bit better. Only nit picking stuff..... overall its a decent hotel for the cost.
