The property is very clean and modern, and better common areas in my opinion than Selina in Copacabana. Rooftop bar was great.

It is good location of you are looking for places close to the center/famous stairs/party area but be aware that Lapa area is not the safest and I did not feel that comfortable walking there by myself

Nice facilities, spacious rooms and plenty of social activities organised (also free)

Lunch was overpriced and when checking in there was an issue with our room (can happen, not a problem) but instead of our double private we were offered a replacement room with 3 bunk beds. We requested a similar type of room, which was not available then we were offered a private room in a different neighbourhood and then there was another double private available. This was a bit strange and not the most welcoming

It's not our first stay in Rio. We knew Lapa, Gloria. We intentionally decided to choose these location. To be able to reach to the most of touristic location on foot or public transport. But the hotel is amazing, very friendly, amazing service, everything is well organized. We loved the commune spaces, that the hotel provides. They even have cinema and communal kitchen, with amazing garden area. We stayed with a big family of 6 people and a pet. The rooms were fresh, clean and had everything we needed. And the price was very friendly too.

There was a wet carpet next to elevator on our floor. I guess water was leaking.

Great location - area is a little bit dodgy so just be careful but security are present. Excellent facilities, nice rooms, curtains with a light, powerpoint and shelf. Nice rooftop and other facilities too.

Unfortunately, I consistently had very incosiderate people in my room. A group of 3-4 girls in an 8 bed form would take at least 30+ minutes each in the bathroom and came in around 3am turning on all of the lights and loudly talking. The rest of the room were asleep. Little bit annoying, you need a keyboard for air con and lights so someone leaves and takes their card in the night you need to replace it which isn't great when relying on the aircon.

The facility is great. It’s quite clean and has great activities.

The employee that works at the front desk during the late hours, Ed, was repeatedly rude and seemed like was being forced to work and attend me, which doesn’t make any sense when you chose to work with the public and specially travelers and tourists. Also, it’s something small but having eaten breakfast for 9 days straight, I noticed that the quality of the food served changes every other day, probably because the kitchen team changes too. One day it was great and the next day was regular to bad sometimes and that repeating itself for the whole period. Lastly, I found really hard to talk to the managing team who could help me solve my problem. Even after sending emails, I didn’t get any response and the one that I did, was useless.

The room and the entire hostel were big, clean, and well-kept. The rooftop bar is nice, although it had a quieter vibe during our stay, with more working professionals since it’s also a coworking space. Overall, a very good experience at a reasonable price, and it’s just a 20-minute metro ride or affordable Uber to reach Ipanema and Copacabana beaches!”

This hostel had fantastic facilities - a library, cinema room, roof terrace with a bar (where you could take your own food and drink), and an incredible buffet breakfast! The rooms were spacious and comfortable and it wasn't too expensive despite being over Rio carnival!

The location felt a bit sketchy, it worked well for us for the first few days in Rio before we moved to an Airbnb in Ipanema. Especially during carnival there were reports of people being robbed. The location is accessible and central however and there are many many taxis available!

I was there only to spend one night and go my way. I just needed a bed for resting 8 hours and it was ok. The staff was really nice and welcoming. The breakfast was really good. In general the facilities are nice

the bathroom was full of mold everywhere I didn’t like the fact that only one bathroom was available and there were no other toilets in the floor so every time I was in need to pee I had to go downstairs because the toilet in the room was always occupied by someone doing something like putting make up or washing their undies. It was ridiculous! The other girls in the dorm arrived in the early morning after partying without caring about the people sleeping, they turned on the lights and made so much noise. I know that you shouldn’t wait for a really quiet night in a shared dormitory but still I found this beyond normal.

The hotel is really nice, with very friendly staff, an amazing breakfast, and a fantastic location! You are right at the door of Lapa, the most lively neighborhood in Rio de Janeiro, and within walking distance of Santa Teresa, Rua do Ouvidor, Paço Imperial, and Fundação Banco do Brasil. If you want to experience another side of Rio beyond Copacabana, it’s well worth it! There are plenty of nice restaurants around, and the rooftop is beautiful.

The hostel has a nice location. You can walk around to sightsee and go out at night. The internet connection is good and they have a dedicated co-working space, which is really nice. The rooftop is great to take a drink before going out.

The breakfast has a long waiting time, there should be options to grab something to eat and start working on time. I had to often take the breakfast with me to the co-working space cause it took like half an hour to get it.
