The staff were amazing! They were so helpful and attentive. Comfortable, private room with good wifi and lovely local breakfast. I cannot stress enough how amazing and helpful the staff are. Thank you so much!

Okay, this isn’t anything to do with the property itself, just Muara in general, but just to warn travellers to buy an eSim at the airport. My eSim and own sim didn’t work and as everything was quite far away walking with very little public transport it meant I had limited mobility in the area.

The staff are so welcoming and nice. They make you feel at home. Complimentary pick up from the airport is a plus. They even helped me arrange a dive.

It’s a bit isolated, but they have bicycles that you can use for free.

I liked everything. Thought the place is far away from the city centre but owners organised transport with very competitive prices. I was picked up from the airport and also brought to the ferry terminal for free. I really appreciate it. The food was awesome, every day different and delicious. Yani, the house keeper helped in all the ways she could and even how she wasn't able. Thank you for the happy time 😊

Something what is not connected to the home stay. The nearest beach is in a really awful condition, full of plastic and litter. My plan was not only to dive with Pony divers but also spent some time near the sea. That didn't happen.

The room was quite large and comfortable. The location and building was very relaxing. Definitely take advantage of the bikes and ride around the neighborhood. There is a great supermarket and a couple of awesome restaurants close by. The host was very kind!

It is quite far from the city. So if you want to be in the city, then this is not the place to be. For one of the breakfasts, we got a big box of cookies and a banana. It would’ve been nice if we got some real food.

i highly recommend this place! i liked everything but on top of these things, yani is my favorite and such a nice person who always welcome you with a kind heart. yani’s home cooked breakfast was delicious also ;) some reviews say there isn’t much to do in the area, which is true, but it always feels relaxing to get out of the city noise and be surrounded by nature. there’s a beautiful beach nearby and well-maintained park right next to it. i enjoyed riding a bike to there which yani rented me. also, the indonesian restaurant across the street provides you really good meals for affordable price. i went there for dinner and lunch. if you are staying in brunei for more than 3 days, don’t waste your time spending all your time in BSB. i recommend you to stay at this place for at least one night ;)

I like that it is close to beach, supermarket and restaurant and free pick from airport and everyone is so kind and accommodating. I met new friends while in Poni. Actually, I changed flight sched and will go back to Poni to stay for another 2 days.

Nothing. I just felt sad thatI cant use the bike, it is high for me...I wish I could go around on a bicycle but Im short for the bike. But everything else is good.

1. Yani the host, was a very friendly lady who was extremely helpful. Right from serving breakfast to ordering taxis and giving all the information needed, Yani was top notch 2. Although there's nothing much to do in Muara, the property's location was bang on. 2.5-3kms from Muara Beach, Serasa Beach and Tanjung Batu (where you can grab gorgeous sunsets) 3. The property itself felt like a very nice home with full fledged kitchen and laundry for use. All the toileteries were provided too. 4. Supermarket and a couple of eateries were hardly a couple of mins from the property 5. There are bicycles for use at at the location making it very handy to take it to all the closeby spots 6. The neighbours dogs were super friendly and the property has 4 cats, one of which had recently given birth to 3 kittens. All of them very friendly and playful :)

1. Nothing wrong about the property, facilities or the host. Just that Muara can be a bit boring with not much to see and do around. The homestay has a dive facility which is probably the only reason people go to Muara.

Staff friendly and helpfull. Dogs and cats arround to play with. Homestay was clean, Matrazes got vacuum cleaned after any guest left. Aircons working well. Has some grass and garden with outdor furiture.

Breakfast was pretty disspointing Maggie Mee and cockies, not even a fruit. Lucky supermarket was nearby so I bought and prepared my own breakfast. i was told that Due to Ramadan NO breakfast is provided for guest. Well this info should be updated on booking .com . Bycicles not wel maintanined. Out of the 3 bycicles for only one was a bit according to safety, I had to fix the breaks and airpressure by myself in the tyres before using it. All ceiling fans and wall ventilators e.g in bathroom should be cleaned also once in wile !

The dogs and cats of the house were lovely. The accommodation has a homely feeling. Yani, the receptionist was great and she always arranged everything. She helped us to find activities and made sure our time during the stay was spent well. There is also an inhouse driver that is convenient as it is not easy to move in the area with high heat and no public transport. There are few food places and a market in walking distance.

It was not easy to communicate with the marketing team (through WhatsApp) about the activities such as diving etc. Nothing was available during our stay due to 'bad' conditions which were not clear what the bad condition was. We planned to stay 4 days and go to the beach during that time but the closest beach was not open for swimming due to crocodiles. The bed was very hard and uncomfortable.

It really felt like a second home for us. That's mostly because of the kindness of Janny, thank you very much!! Enjoy your holiday when you are going back to your family. Also, the homestay was amazing with 3 lovely cats and 4 sweet kittens. They were very cute and sweet! We stayed for almost a week with extending our stay twice. Our room was clean and a lot of facilities were available. Like free water refill, free coffee and tea, free laundry (!) and even free transportation to an hour of free kayaking nearby. The location is also perfect: very quiet and a big supermarket nearby. It's also possible to hike in the rainforest in the back of the homestay. The free breakfast was very good and you can choose every day of 4/5 options. In conclusion, we liked it very much. 10/10

Only that the shared bathroom was not very clean, but that's a normal situation with shared spaces like bathrooms :p
