I stayed at the Capital Residence Suites Hotel for 3 nights and I have to say it was really good. It is in a really nice, quiet location, although the whole city is super peaceful and quiet. It is about a 10-minute walk to the center and a shopping center. From there you can also take a ferry to Kampong Ayer. There is a KFC, supermarket, souvenir shops, etc. All the important sights are also within easy walking distance. But don't be surprised, nobody walks. I was the only one. But whatever. There is a great pick-up service from the airport, which is brilliant. And they also take you back to the airport. Great service. There was also breakfast, but I never enjoyed it. I can't say anything about that. I always leave early. WiFi was stable and fast, so you could work. The staff takes care of everything. You can also book tours and the like if you need to go somewhere. Otherwise just use the taxi app DART, it works great and the drivers are all so nice. I think there is also public transport, but it is probably not used much. In any case, if you ever find yourself in Brunei, book a few days at the Capital Residence Suites, you won't be disappointed.

There was exceptional service provided by Azim, Isaac the restaurant manager, and Nur Ayu Shaqilla during my recent stay at the hotel. Their professionalism, attentiveness, and genuine hospitality made my visit truly memorable. This hotel has outstanding team members with dedication and exemplary service. I look forward to visiting again.

Elevator not working.

IMO this is the best hotel to stay at in Bandar. The staff is friendly and accommodating. The rooms are large, walk in shower, excellent a/c. The breakfast that is included is good and varied. The biggest selling point is the free shuttle they provide from the airport and to attractions. This is well organized and makes seeing sights easy as public transport is difficult here. I recommend eating dinner at the night market, very cheap and lots of local tasty things to try. We were there 3 days and it was a bit long for the things there are to see. 2 days are enough unless you are doing a day trip to the National Park, which we did not.

The property provides a one-day tour so you can technically see the whole city in one day. The airport pick-up and drop-off are good free services. The buffet but if youll be staying too long, you’ll notice that maybe food are just being heated on but am not complaining cause food are okay. Staffs are of good customer service. They said there are monkeys somewhere but am glad I didtn get to meet them.

It is the airconditioning. It is super hot in Brunei and there was a problem with mine - had a bad migraine if am not mistaken it was room 402. I told them but there was no room available. But generally, aside from that. It is a good place to stay.

First of all the hotel is really good value. You get complimentary breakfast as well as airport pick up and drop off, and also free shuttles to different locations in the city. What I liked most however was how friendly the staff was, especially the drivers and reception staff. Really lovely people. The location is also quite convenient, within reasonable walking distance to the central landmarks like the Omar Ali Saifuddien mosque or the Royal Regalia Museum. You can also sometimes see monkeys or even monitor lizards outside the hotel, which for some might not be a plus but I definitely enjoyed it!

I’m being fussy here but some details could be improved. The shower part of the bathroom is quite dark, and toilet paper wasn’t replaced. The bed isn’t particularly comfortable as the mattress is fairly hard. The breakfast buffet is probably not winning any awards, and the food items aren’t labelled, some of them aren’t necessarily easy to identify which can be an issue especially for people with allergies. While the location is central, there are no shops or restaurants in the immediate vicinity of the hotel so you’ll need to walk at least 10-15 minutes to reach one.

Everything. What more you can ask (free shuttle bus to and fro airport, breakfast included, great hospitality etc.) I am amazed that they managed to remember me and my family as the guests of which room, well afterall we were there for 7 days. I would definitely come back. Also, a heads up to those coming to Brunei generally, all shops close at 10pm, you can't find any stores that open 24/7. And you really need a car to move around Brunei. Good thing about this hotel, they provided charged shuttle to tourist location (so you can depend on this also)!

The housekeeping duration, I guess they don't really do housekeeping daily for guests that do long stay. So, when my room was supposed to do housekeeping (we push the button please makeup), they didn't. It may be our fault cause it was by then afternoon, but it was rectified afterwards so good communication. It would be better if we have extra plastic bags for the rubbish and where should we throw as somethings it get a bit smelly. But otherwise, not a problem.

Booking was straightforward, with an email welcoming me, and letting me know that someone would be waiting for me at the airport with my name. Shuttle service to and from the airport is included. There are also different shuttle routes during the day, but the timing is a bit odd. For example, the shuttle route to the palace takes you to the gate for five minutes of taking pictures through a closed gate. Then it drops you off at the large mosque for nearly 2 hours, much longer than needed. But the staff was friendly. They took me to the bank on the way in from the airport. Breakfast was fine. The room is clean and has what you need. Lighting is a bit odd, since the light switch for the bathroom is all the way by the front door. Overall, convenient.

The main reason to select this hotel is their shuttle service. Not only pickup/dropoff airport but also for the major tourist attractions around town. It’s important due to high humidity weather in rain season. We don’t want to walk around on empty streets. There is a poor public transportation around the town. The diver, Boy was very vey friendly and nice. He waited us in the arrival hall patiently on the day we arrived. Giving us warm welcome with a big smile. He introduced some tourist attractions on the way to the hotel, bring us to the night market in the evening to try local food. We are lucky that he dropped us to airport also. We learned more about local lives from him. He is really talkative guy and just like your family member in Brunei! Of course, other staffs were also friendly. Our room was quiet, comfortable, air conditioning was powerful, WiFi was smooth, breakfast was good.

One of a towel was dirty but it was replaced when we requested.

Location was good for Brunei city centre. 10 minute walk into the town and the waterfront area. Safe to walk there anytime of the day. Room was comfortable and clean. Staff were really friendly and looked to help us organise everything we wanted to do. The hotel has a shuttle bus that can pick you up from the airport and / or take you to locations around the city as taxi’s aren’t easy to get. This was really helpful. The driver (Boy) that we had was super friendly and went above and beyond to make sure we saw the best bits of Brunei. Recommend this hotel for a short stay in Brunei.

We had a lovely stay at the CRS. From the moment we arrived we were made to feel welcome. The staff were all helpful, polite, friendly and happy. Our room was clean and very comfortable- we slept really well. The bathroom was well equipped with flowing hot water. Wi-fi was excellent. We enjoyed our breakfast each day, there was a good selection and the freshly cooked eggs were perfect. The location was great for us- we were able to walk to the places we wanted to see and we used the complimentary shuttle bus to take us to Gadong night market which was a real bonus. Thank you for a lovely stay.
