We stumbled upon this place a bit outta town, just perfect for that sweet balance of quietude and accessibility. We had a hunch it'd be serene, based on other reviews and our own road-worn instincts. And boy, were we chuffed with what we found! The staff? Top-notch, mate. The hotel? Clean as a whistle and safe as houses. And get this: they've got a fridge in the room, so I was set with my own stash of brews. But hey, if the thirst got real, they've got a wee bar to top up. And talk about convenience – just a dollar and a quick hop on a tuk-tuk, and you're smack dab in town, only five minutes away! Sure, they offer a shuttle service, but who needs it when you're living life on your terms, right? Cheers to finding the perfect spot to kick back and unwind, my friend!

Very quiet and relaxing hotel just outside the town centre. Great room, pool area and attentive staff. Took advantage of the free tuk tuk into town ( it’s needed unless you want to walk 20 + mins) and free cycle hire.

This is not a dislike but a comment for others that there is no restaurant or bar. A few beers or soft drinks from the refrigerator for around the pool and coffee served at the reception area in the morning. If you want anything else it’s into town

I thoroughly enjoyed my stay at the hotel. The staff were exceptionally welcoming and attentive, ensuring a comfortable and pleasant experience. The room was well-appointed, clean, and cozy, offering a great night's sleep.

It is a great base to visit the area, in a quiet location not far from the town. We enjoyed taking the short journey over the river and seeing the sights of the local area. Helpful, friendly staff who really couldn't do enough for us. We had a good 1st floor room with a large bed, high-quality linen and towels, bathrobes, and slippers. Very comfortable and quiet. The view over the resort is fabulous from the balcony. The housekeeping team is excellent. The on-site tuk-tuk is very useful, and we used it several times. Lovely pool.

There is nothing to complain about, but it is a pity there is no on-site restaurant. We did find food panda deliveries easy to use. There is a bit of a wait (up to an hour), so it's best to order sooner rather than later! More sunbeds around the pool (or even on the roof) would be useful, as there are only 6 in total, and it is nice to be able to relax after a day out.

This hotel is not in the busy part of town, which is a bonus as we were able to listen to the birds chirping. The hotel is built around a lovely big pool and lush gardens. They provide a free tuk tuk into town, and it is only $1 us to get back. The hotel room was a good size with a very big comfortable bed and balcony looking down on the pool. The staff were very accommodating to get our washing done on the same day at a reasonable price for a hotel. There is no breakfast provided which wasn't a problem for us...just expect you will need to go out for breakfast.

They hotel management need to enforce a curfew on pool and quit time after 10 pm.

- The staff was very supportive and friendly. They came with an umbrella to pick me up during the heavy rain when I arrived. After I told them about my car incident, they took actions by placing a sign at the pothole. The hotel was clean and nice as expected.

- The location was in the village, which was quiet, but for me, wasn’t too good for it’s a bit hard to get anything near by and to hang out at night. Because the location was in the village, the roads to the hotel wasn’t good. There was one big pothole in the road which my car fell into and unfortunately broke the front cover a bit. So I wish the hotel would take care of the road since it leads to their place. Anyway, they did take actions, which I appreciate.

Lovely pretty looking hotel, large comfortable rooms & large comfortable bed with lovely quality bedlinen & bath towels. Nice added extras with slippers & bathrobes & toiletries restocked daily. Good size swimming pool which all rooms appear to overlook. Great location just on the outskirts of Kampot. Complimentary hotel Tuk Tuk will drop you at Starbucks. Staff very polite & helpful. Soft drinks & beers available to purchase, plus croissants with jam for breakfast if required. No restaurant but not a problem as food can easily be ordered & delivered to the hotel via food panda.

There are only 6 sun beds around the pool although space is limited to put more. There are also tables & chairs but these are not comfortable to sit on for any long period of time.

It’s located out of the centre so it’s much more of a chilled atmosphere and super relaxing! Whenever we wanted to go into the town for food etc. we just asked at reception and someone was always on hand to drop us down (free shuttle service). The staff were also lifesavers when our taxi to the port didn’t show up in the morning (booked through an external company) and they dropped us there themselves so that we didn’t miss our boat! We had a lovely time here and even extended our stay because it was such a nice vibe.

Great new hotel run by Chhai and his family - rooms are whisper quiet and solid, super clean with great water pressure and a/c. A free tuk tuk shuttle to middle of town (starbucks) from morning to night makes it easy to get there for meals. Chhai organised our Phnom Penh one way transport to Kampot at a very competitive rate as well. Pool is fantastic and a welcome relief from a hot day of touring at the Pepper Farm and Kep. Thank you Chhai for your hospitality and lovely stay for our family

I am so glad I cancelled my other hotel and booked Sokchea Kampot because this little resort is fantastic. Located on the opposite side of the river from Kampot town, away from all the bars and nightclubs, it offers a truly relaxing stay. The resort is cute, the rooms immaculate, and the area super quiet at night. The hotel doesn't have a restaurant and offers limited breakfast options, but don't let that put you off booking, as town is less than a 2-minute TukTuk ride away. Transport options include using the Hotel's TukTuk service (free oneway) or ordering a Grab. We had a great week relaxing here!
