My abode in Phnom Penh. Been checking into Lux for the past few years. Never been disappointed. Cannot ask for a better location in the city bang in the middle of the nightlife district by the riverside. Transportation options are right on the doorstep. Rooms are spacious and clean with regular housekeeping. But the best feature are the staff, who are immensely friendly and helpful. Shoutout to the reception manager, Sotthea, who went above and beyond to help.

Hotel is starting to show its age. A lick of paint would certainly uplift the mood.

The Lux Riverside Hotel is a bit dated, which is naturally reflected in the furnishings. However, it still offers excellent value for money. We stayed in a suite on the second floor, which unfortunately meant we didn’t have a river view but instead faced a rather bleak and very close building facade. So, it’s definitely advisable to request a room on a higher floor. The suite was functionally equipped, though the furniture was somewhat old. The staff was very friendly and attentive, and the included breakfast buffet was good and sufficient. All in all, you get exactly what you can expect for the price and this in a great location!

Hotel couldn't have been at a better location right on Sisowath Quay with nightlife options right on its doorstep. Restaurants abound with posh places like Metro Hakkasan and the Waterside a minutes walk away. Easy transportation link to other parts of the city. Phsar Thmei, Royal Palace, Wat Onulam all within walking distance. And nothing could beat the friendliest staff in any hotel. Always welcoming with a smile and ready to help with anything.

Room lighting is too dim and they immediately need to install more luminous bulbs. Electrical fixtures are breaking down and need to be replaced ASAP. And PLEASE put the safe on a higher shelf. It's an absolute pain having to squat down every time to access the safe.

Hotel couldn't be in a better place right down from the riverside and the quay. Bars, restaurants and a varied nightlife option in the vicinity of the hotel. Easy to travel around the city with good transportation connections. Rooms are cavernous and the bathroom is clean and convenient. Best bit are the staff who are immensely friendly and go above and beyond to help out.

Room lightning needs to be enhanced. Rooms are on the darker side as the lights are way too dim. Electrical connections by the bed needs to be fixed. Safe is kept at the bottom of the cupboard which is highly inconvenient. Just move the safe up a shelf. Wi-fi in rooms are dogdy and doesn't connect properly.

The staff were all great. Housekeeping kept my room cleaned daily. The room was very large and had a sitting area. Plenty of TV cable channels. Good air conditioning and plenty of hot water for showers. Breakfast was good. Centrally located in the bar district with plenty of restaurants nearby. My room was quiet and I did not hear outside music or noise except occasional dogs barking.

My room was a bit dark as no direct sunlight came inside the windows. There was a slight mold smell when I entered my room but not noticeable after that.

We had rm 531 which was quiet even though the street was busy. Restaurants , bars and lots of action. The Hotel made sure that what was happening outside did not come inside and never once felt that it was an issue. Breakfast and staff were amongst the best we saw through out our 4 months in Asia. Literally just a minute off the river with lots of walking available along with a museum,Palace and a ton more restaurants, bars & massage parlours within a short walk away. Room was comfortable along with the bed. Wouldn’t hesitate to book again.

Situated on a what seemed like a red light street with lots of action.

The hotel has become my home in Phnom Penh 😊 The location right by the riverside cannot be more convenient. Right in the middle of entertainment street, the hotel is in the vicinity of all the Sisowath Quay restaurants and bars. Easy transportation accessibility to other parts of the city like BKK or Chamkar Mon. Hotel is kept spick and span by the efficient housekeeping staff. Rooms are cleaned daily along with change of linen and towels. Staff are super friendly and go way and above their duty to help.

The hotel is starting to show its age. A few fixtures in the rooms need to be replaced/repaired.

I liked the location close to the riverside and great restaurants and bars. The staff was superb, always helpful and smiling. The breakfast was really good. The rooms were always clean. Great value for money. This was my second stay here and it did not disappoint. Looking forward to my next stay. I would highly recommend the Lux Riverside

Nothing not to like

This is my 2nd visit and the level of courtesy by the front staff and the breakfast team has remained at a high level as on my previous trip. The breakfast spread was good . The lively Preah Sisowath Quay is just a stone's throw away which gives you a view of the river with their colourfully lighted boats at night. There is an open excercise facility where I saw a good number of foreigners exercising . The Night market is nearby and facing it , at St 106, is the Giant Ibis transport office if you intend to go to Siem Reap, Sihanoukville, Kampot , Ho Ci Min and other areas. The Royal Palace is also nearby.Location wise, Lux Riverside hotel has it all.

A door stopper inside the toilet is dangerous as visitors might get hurt. I feel there is no need for it as the door can be closed or opened easily. Please see photo attached

This is my 3rd visit to Lux and enjoyed my stay here. From the excellent counter staff, their politeness, including their housekeeping staff, the good spread of food during breakfast, it's location and closeness with the ever vibrant Sisowath Quay, esp at night, it's proximity to Kandal market , where you can find all sorts of exotic vegetables and other household utensils, Lux Riverside Hotel has always been a favourite stay.
