This place is run by Simon and his family. Its sweet to see them live their family life together running this hotel. Its a nice building. No noise. Guests are kind and peaceful. Internet connection is very good. The guy guarding the frontdoor at night is patient and kind with coming and goings. Also when I was grumpy or stressed over some things (sorry) everyone was patient and friendly to me.

There is only one bad thing. But a common thing in Cambodia. The bed. It is murder. The metal springs under the thin cloth you will learn to know with every fiber of your being. Its not uncommon with mattresses like this in Cambodia, Nepal and India. Some matt on the bed would have helped. Everything else is good here! Including the many stairs that keeps you fit if you live on the 5th floor :) :D

Owner was lovely and helpful Food and drink at the restaurant was good too We were upgraded to the penthouse kindly for one night (we booked the two bed with a balcony which was also really nice)

Lots of stairs to get to the penthouse - we struggled with our bags (we are backpackers) I didn’t feel the safest in the area it was in

As a mid to low budget small family run guest house it can certainly hold it's own. Central location in the middle of tourist town. Helpful owner and his wife, good local food cooked by a very good cook and offering all the transport and visa options the traveller could possibly want sets it as a good place to start your visit. The name "Velkcommen guest house" suggests it is German owned/ran but is in fact owned and run by a Cambodian family that bought it years ago but kept the name. I stayed a week and have no real criticism when comparing it to other similar priced places around the city. It has a small but adequate seating area on the street where you can eat or chill. The wifi is exceptional, and not surprisingly costs the owner $45 pm Overall, give it a go as it is a hassle free stay

Great location almost next to riverside and a photogenic wet market. Rooms are simple but functional. TV has international channels. WiFi works. Restaurant attached. Sells bus tickets that deliver. Very good value for money, but don't expect luxury.

The door locks are fiddly. No elevator for the top floors.

it's really convinced really close by everything you need down to the street restaurant, riverside, royal palace and local maket. the staff and the owner really friendly and helpful if need something just asks. I will choose to stay there again.

There wasn't much of a view even from floor 10. Some of the furniture could be renewed I feel. The front of the reception area could be decorated a little better.

The staff at Velkommen are very helpful and friendly. If you want or need something they will do their best to fix it for you. They are patient and do their best to make your trip comfortable.

there could of been a few more items in the bathroom, like bigger soap and maybe some cologne.

Stakknincluding Manager Simon were great. Cozy and economical, met myvexpectations and would recommend for travellers on a budget. Good location that was close to major attractoons.

Location, the bed was comfortable, the food was tasty. The owner & the staff are very kind and helpful. The room is spacious.

Not sockets near the bed, only near the TV. A few switches would need to be repaired, the shower which is a little old as well as the toilet flush.

Lovely place to stay. Staff are very friendly and welcoming. The guesthouse is in a perfect location next to the river, market and tourist attractions. The beds are very big and comfortable. Great value for money 🥰🙏 thank you
