At first glance, the hotel looks a bit dated, but once inside the suite, we were pleasantly surprised. The suite is spacious, very clean, and tastefully decorated in a modern country style. The kitchen has everything you need to prepare a simple meal. The fireplace in the living area is a lovely touch. The bed is large and comfortable, and the outdoor hot tub is perfect for relaxing after a long walk in the beautiful surroundings. There’s plenty of parking available both on the property and on the street. Staff were friendly and professional. We had dinner at the hotel restaurant one evening — cosy atmosphere and delicious food!

The suite was on the expensive side, but this may have been due to the summer season.

Communal areas are cosy with nice modern decor. Games and books available in the lounge area. Lovely hot tubs. Grounds well maintained. Lovely to see elk wandering about the site! Tasty drinks options at the bar. Rooms were a great size with sitting areas, large bathroom, big and comfortable beds and a balcony area. Fireplace would be very welcome in the winter. So nice to have a bath and shower option in the bathroom, and really nice toiletries provided. Well located, nice and quiet due to being a little more out of town, but only a pleasant 15min walk into the centre.

A very minor point, but the room was a little dark as there isn't really overhead lighting in the main space, just several lamps.

The cabins are cute and the bed was super comfortable and we loved the squirrels running around (very entertaining to us Aussies) The property is out of downtown, so quieter and there is a bus that stops right outside so it was very easy to get around.

Our fireplace was not working during our stay which was disappointing but we were advised of it via email prior to our arrival - would have been nice to have some form of compensation ( maybe a complementary drink or something ) but definitely did not spoil our stay The chairs were a bit big for the room, I have a couple of bruises on my legs from running into them lol

luxury. The beds with duvets were like sleeping on a cloud. The fireplace was all set to go with one match . Unlimited firewood on porch.. The reflection of the crackling fire on the golden fir ceiling was so 🔥 comforting. The place was fully booked but I didn't hear a peep from anyone around. The internet was strong. We parked by the outside porch on the street. The landscaping was peaceful . I was pleasantly surprised that both front and back porches had views. We could walk to breakfast which was yummy. Our server was helpful. I took a soak in the deep tub: heavenly! We could walk across the street to the bus downtown saving parking hassles. The in room coffee maker was heavenly. We didnt need to use the quiet fridge or tv there was so much else to do in the beautiful weather ! I didn't bring a suit to get into the outdoor hot tub but next time will . The rest of our trip was camping in tent and biking to hostel but since we had never been to Canada we wanted our first night to be safe and luxurious and it was ! The international staff made us feel so welcomed and relaxed!

We loved our room with the fireplace. And the restaurant had really good food. We loved the location as well. Far enough out of town but yet you could still walk into town if you wanted to or catch the shuttle right outside of the hotel. Loved it!

The parking lot was a little tight. Worried we might not find a spot. But we were there for seven days and there was always at least one spot open so it was fine. That’s the only thing I can think of, otherwise it’s a really great property and a wonderful experience.

Great location and Mountain View. The room was cozy and they provided everything to have a nice fire in our room fireplace. The hot tub was enjoyable. They provided coffee and tea in our room.

We were told that they would give us a priority to cleaning our room so we could check in before 4 pm. We came back several times and they would not let us check in before 4 pm. Our room was cleaned every day by 11:30:am, so it was clear they did not want to help us with the check in process. Unfortunately, this was not a good way to start our visit.

Rooms were well equipped and we were able to check in early, which was a bonus. We are in the restaurant one night and the food and service were excellent. The gym and spa (hot tub) were also very nice and we had no trouble finding parking close to our room.

The room service and maintenance staff were quite ‘overt’ during our stay. We had a van delivering linen and towels parked right outside our window both days and cleaners were coming and going with in other vehicles for much of the day. The spa area needed more loungers.

Lovely decor and the fireplace in the room made it very cosy. Easy to park, comfy bed and nice balcony. Food from the restaurant was pricy but really delicious (we had room service).

Bathroom was quite dated and the room was a bit small. The location is further from Banff town than we anticipated and we didn't want to attempt the hill with a toddler in tow so we did less walking in Banff than we thought we would. Not necessarily a problem, but something to be more aware of than we were.

Location, Location, Location! Staying on Tunnel Mountain, specifically at Buffalo Mountain Lodge, we had nature surrounding us!! Trails right outside our patio door and a special little area across the road with gorgeous mountain views!! A quiet location away from crowds that one might have right downtown Banff. Loved the rooms, comfortable beds and large bathroom!! There is a nice outside hot tub. The food at the restaurant was wonderful!! We loved the staff, super friendly and helpful!!!

Not having access to a microwave in the room. But some of the larger rooms may have such a convenience.

All staff (desk, concierge, waiting & cleaning) very pleasant. King suite had enough space & equipment for our needs. Nice coffee in rooms. Nice toiletries.

We could only tilt the window blinds but no cord to raise them, so room was a little dark and windows awkward to access - especially with no fan and no AC. There was a bin for recycling but no information as to what could be recycled.
