Breakfast was lovely Tasty homemade quiche, yogurt and variety of fresh fruit Perfect as I am not a breakfast grease fan. Lovely location to look down to the inlet,

All was pretty good. Description said it was a King room with a balcony. It continued by saying the double room offerred air conditioning, a tea and a coffee maker. Our room had a patio which was fine but room did not have the appliances. Access to the same was via the lounge room. No big deal but when its in the description it is assumed it will be in the room. Despite this I would recommend By the Bay and would stay there again.

The location of By the Bay was excellent. We were looking for somewhere near to Chemainus Theatre as we had booked for the evening's performance. It was way up a very steep hill but had a beautiful view of the water. The rooms were very clean and very comfy. The breakfast was very good although the room was quite small. I would imagine if all the rooms were occupied it would be a bit crowded, but I guess you could always take it back to your room. It was very quiet and peaceful and check in was a breeze as the owners sent us instructions on how to get in. We didn't see anyone until the next day but that was fine. They were very trusting!

Nothing really, it was all great. Probably would be better once the lavender farm is up and going and the smell would be wonderful. Oh and also there was no hairdryer in our room and I thought there would be one.

Absolutely beautiful property with ocean views! So cozy & well decorated. We booked last minute getting rained out of camping. I checked air bnb and expedia and didnt find anything i liked and then at the last minute Google brought me to booking.com and that bathtub sold me! I was worried the room might of not been available after finding the air bnb listing but called and our reservation was good to go! It was lovely I'll definitely recommend to friends & family.

View was great. Breakfast - portions were small, the scones tasted like they were made from bisquit mix with things added to it. Served with 1/3 glass of juice, few small slices of fruit, a cordial glass of yogurt- very small. Owners not around much but very helpful and friendly when there. No other staff seen. Very clean and comfortable rooms

Lovely airy loft room. Very comfortable bed. Spectacular deck. Room extremely well-appointed with everything you would need including kitchen gadgets.

I couldnt figure out the two tv remotes. Took me about 35 mins to finally figure it out. Maybe an instruction card would be helpful for non-techno's like me.

There was a table downstairs that we could use. The scones and fresh fruit were good.

The water pressure was low. There was no closet. A balcony is usually attached to the house and implied a view. This was more of a poured patio. The furniture out there was nice, though.

Very nice breakfast although we would have appreciated some choice like eggs and toast.

Getting into the place was difficult for us as the driveway is sloping and there is no railing. They accommodated us by letting us go down some stairs to the front door.

Loft above the lower garage. The space was awesome. Lots of room, comfortable. The view from the deck was beautiful. We got to see the sunrise at 5:30 am. Lots of rabbits hopping around the yard.

Perhaps having a mini fridge in the room for our drinks and sandwiches, etc.!
