What breakfast? No one from the property ever spoke to us or welcomed us and did not tell us about breakfast. The location was lovely and the view fantastic. We would have felt more comfortable had someone from the property talked to us about the room and given suggestions. A magazine is impersonal and doesn't answer questions.

Manager or staff person welcomed didn't tell us anything about the property and surrounding environs. There was only one chair in the room. Not comfortable for one to have to sit on the bed.

This place is a lovely peaceful getaway. It was so cozy and comfortable. We enjoyed our time out on the balcony just gazing off into the water. We only encountered staff once and she was very lovely. Bed was wonderful. Only issue we had was there are no screens on the windows so we could not keep them open to enjoy the fresh air. Minor issue overall.

The people who are running it are great. Everything is comfortable and clean. Service is outstanding. View from our room was amazing.

The bed was a bit small but its a queen as advertised

Did not have breakfast at the hotel restaurant. However dinner was excellent. It is a very good idea to have theme days. For instance, Thursday was Burgers and beer night while Wednesday was Tacos and margueritas. There are other food options if the theme is not desired. The room appointments were lovely and a balcony per each room was a bonus. As was a fan which was used extensively.

I had great difficulty following the directions for switching on the TV. There were 2 remotes, for instance and I had no notion of which one to use. The instructions are on the TV but if one is a techno-peasant such as myself, we are hooped. The office closes for the day around 8PM so could be of no help if I was stuck. Fortunately my husband came to the rescue before I had a total hissy fit at my incompetence !! Furthermore, it would help greatly to have a printout in the room guide binder of the major TV channels and radio frequencies serving the region. I had a radio and finally found my station by scrolling through both FM and AM. Many thanks. judita

Beautiful location, lovely view of the sea from our balcony, we watched tugboats moving log booms around towards Ladysmith, just across the water. Room was small but very clean and comfortable. Tea and coffee station in the room, much appreciated. Great value for money.

There was no restaurant or cafe on site, would have been nice to grab coffee or lunch there and look out over the water.

Not only was east to find, it was beautiful inside and out. We chatted briefly with the owners while we plunked down on the patio swings and they were incredibly welcoming and accommodating. I felt like we were visiting a family home. These owners have great plans for the future here so we can’t wait to come back for a longer stay next time.

other than the property grounds and street out front, there isn’t a very big walking area. to simply come and relax or use the Marina is amazing however.

- The cute, tidy, comfy little room ~ was able to finish my report and had a restful sleep. Very comfortable bed and pillows. Very clean bathroom. - The view, the private sun deck - The service (Sue was wonderderul!)- although there's no overnight concierge, Sue made sure that our needs were taken cared of before she left for the day. - Have to try the Boatshed Grill next time

Very small room, no closet. We stayed at the Ladysmith room which is on the lower level, so we can hear footsteps from the upper rooms.

I loved the balcony off our room! The room looked like the picture online and was nicely decorated. The water front area is a wonderful place to sit and have coffee. The lights in the garden at night are a special treat. Friendly & helpful staff!

We felt very hot at night, even with the fan. I couldn't get the TV to work because it was stuck on someone's account. Everything else was great!

Breakfast was not offered. The room was beautifully decorated and extremely clean.

I did notice a funny odour that didn’t really seem to go away even after opening the windows. Being a light sleeper and late sleeper the room next to the laundry was not a good fit for me.

Room was a bit small but well appointed, and decorated. The view was gorgeous! It seems like a sort of heritage property.

Because it’s an older property, the downside was even a little noise by the neighbours disturbed our sleep, there is no air conditioning
