We arrived quite late in the evening but the lovely lady in the front office let us in and after a bit of form filling we were off to our room. Really lovely spacious room, very clean, super comfortable and I was out like a light after a long day traveling. Next morning we were up and gone early but again the lovely lady in the front office gave us a nice send off even wishing us a Happy Thanksgiving.

Can't fault the place and I don't understand some of these poor reviews. Maybe people are confusing the lady in the front office's directness as being rude but we certainly didn't find her to be anything other than her authentic self.

Convenient location to the places I needed to attend. It is an older Motel, but well kept up and clean. I had a unit with a small kitchen and living room. It was nice to have a couch to watch television from rather than lying in a bed. The Price was very economical. Bonus, the Air Conditioning in my room cooled down the whole unit in about half an hour...

My fridge froze my food.

Great location, right off the main drag, makes it really easy to get wherever you want to go. Well laid out rooms that are perfect for families.

The room we stayed in was tucked in the corner down a bit of a hallway, which was perfectly fine for us. However, the neighbouring patrons were always sitting outside of their rooms smoking cigarettes. This made the little hallway that we had to go down to get to our room smell heavily of smoke. Not really any fault of the property, just unfortunate for us.

Room and beddings very clean, a lot of upgrades over the years . Situated minutes from amenities groceries/ restaurants etc. Close to Nanaimo’s world class tourists spots, Neck point park, Pipers Lagoon park and fishing and walking pier in maffeo Sutton park.friendly staff.

I can’t say this about all the rooms, but the shower/ tub in our newly renovated room could’ve used a couple of bars on the wall, could be a bit slippery especially for the elderly.

The kitchen was perfect. Shower was hot with good pressure. Pet friendly!

The bed could have been more comfortable. The sound on the TV was hard to understand: maybe the speaker is blown out?

The kitchen was well appointed. The towels were displayed nicely when we arrived. The price was good.

The remote for the TV didn't work. There wasn't a daily clean, bedmaking or top up of tea/coffee. It isn't close to the city centre or places of interest.

The owner was nice. The price matched the expectations. It had all the basics and the necessities for a good night's rests. No complaints.

My expectations were met. I jmhave nothing negative to say.

Fantastic staff, friendly, close to ferry ,close to major roadways, and an absolutely extraordinary east Indian restaurant two doors down.

Liked that it is pet friendly and close to all big spots in Nanaimo
