We loved the view from the room. It faced the sea so we appreciated the dark curtains that allowed us to sleep in. It was then so lovely to open them and have the morning light! We also had a clean balcony with nice chairs and we enjoyed watching the sun set to the right of our view. It was also fun to watch the action at the marina. The beds were good. We couldn't get a King size so we had 2 queens.

The small fridge held most of our things but we couldn't fit a freezer block in the small freezer section. The freezer section was also full of frost limiting it as well. We had to turn the fridge down because our food started to freeze. I wish the room smelled "fresher". I'm not sure how you would fix that - but, it just smelled "old". Maybe it's having the carpet. Newer hotels are using LVT now...

Terrific ocean and marina view, with a chance to see wildlife - seals, otters, whales, etc. We were lucky to get a street level room, so no steps or elevator required, and parking right in front of our door. Simple free continental breakfast in the restaurant, with a nice outdoor patio. Its close (5-10 minutes by car) to the Powell River town with shops and restaurants. Oh, and very conveniently, there is a liquor store in the building!

The bathroom with a bath tub is a bit dated and a bit tricky/slippery. The TV system is also outdated. But everything works. The whole complex could use a little bit of renovation.

The view from the room and the restaurant are amazing: right over the ocean. I think this was the hotel where we actually spend more time in the hotel than elsewhere on our trip, since it great location on the ocean, the great food in the restaurant and the very friendly and helpful staff. They even helped getting enough loonies for the washing machine and dryer. Breakfast was included which we didn't expect so that was a nice surprise too.

If there would be a way to pay for the laundry without hunting for loonies that would be awesome. (Or just have extra loonies for this purpose at reception). But this is such a minor issue that I actually shouldn't write it down here. :-)

amazing views . Room was lovely and the restaurant was SUPERB

Fire alarm went off in middle of night and there was no directions on what to do . ( The ovenight security was nowhere to be seen and we all stood around outside in the cold) this was apparently addressed so we were happy to hear this . The second night there were a bunch of young hockey families who were rambunctious for a little while but they settled down by 9:00 pm so again . very pleased with the staff

A beautiful view from our room/balcony. Pleasing to find the room squeaky clean and very comfortable. The restaurant was very easy to access. Parking onsite 👌 Check in and check out we’re both quick and easy. Great to have the elevator too.

Would be good to have a bedside table on both sides of the bed… somewhere to place our glasses and glass of water at night. I was worried that my husband would stand on his glasses ( he put them on the floor) when he got up in the middle of the night.

the rooms are ocean and marina view and spacious The restaurant down below had great food and ambiance and overlooks the water. Definitely recommend having a meal there. The live music on Saturday night was an amazing classical modern guitarist.

The buildings on the outside and many aren’t in use. Be nice to see an investor. Take the place over and bring it back to it. Glory days. hottub outside would be nice The included breakfast in our stay with minimal

Lovely views over their small marina and the Strait to Texada Island. The balcony is a nice size to enjoy it from. Helpful staff with good local recommendations. Free breakfast buffet with espresso drinks included is a plus, as is the in-room Nespresso coffeemaker and bottled water.

I would call it motor lodge rather than a “resort.” The furnishings and carpet are pretty tired and in need of an update. The restaurant is nice with a great patio but a tad expensive for what it is.

Quiet and convenient location, stunning views, easy getting around in town.

The bed was a bit too soft for my liking, and the noise was a bit loud from the auto fan/heater running at night. Fortunately, all the walking, hiking and activities I did during the day helped me with a deeper sleep and not affected by it much.

The room was well appointed. The view was amazing. The bed was comfortable. The grounds were very nice.

The breakfast was horrible. It gave me food poisioning. I am not sure how old the food was, but it definitely was not fresh. I recommend NOT eating the included breakfast. The resort is in a large hillside. It may be challenging for those with large vehicles to get down to it.

Location and view

The continental breakfast was the same thing every day and cold hard boiled eggs were getting old. The toaster only had one side working. The rooms were not the most clean. My allergies were brought on and you could also just tell things were dirty. All in all this place is acceptable but not at the price they charge. Wasn’t even told about wifi or where the gym was. Staff just took my card and gave me keys
