Clean, comfortable and exactly as represented. This funky motel is exactly why people still search out motels. Friendly and helpful staff, excellent location and good value. Rooms have been renovated and who cannot like vinyl (read: clean) flooring. It is not a resort hotel and if you want that, move on. If you want a clean, safe and comfortable motel, with stunning views, and close to restaurants, look no further. Don’t let the rather scary driveway deter you, just take it slow and back in.

Nothing that can be changed. As noted above, it’s on a hill and the first time you drive in or out is a bit scary but just take it slow; the place is well worth it (and you don’t get a view without a hill!)

Overall, a very nice stay. The room was very well-equipped with modern amenities like good TV system , great wifi and an excellent air conditioner unit on the wall. (it was a hot spell in July). You can tell the place has been there for a while but they have done a generally good job in keeping it up to date . ie; card/ key less entry. The staff were all very helpful with my few questions and really seem to care about you enjoying your stay!

My only issue was a small bit of food residue in the bottom of the kitchen sink strainer .

Staff was very friendly & helpful. Their binder of information about Powell River was very detailed, complete & appreciated. The staff helped with the mix up with the booking which was created when we asked for an additional day for our reservation. The mix-up was not their fault or ours it was booking.com's

Because of the hill that the motel is situated on parking was very difficult for some rooms. People with mobility issues would find this motel not very good unless they were in certain rooms. They would have to specify that they have mobility concerns before booking a room. We found getting in & out of our vehicle very difficult, loading & unloading as well but staff did help us with this at times.

Having facilities to cook. Having a full refrigerator with freezer in which to store my food and freezer packs. Having a tub with low sides so I could get in and out easily; a table for eating and using my computer. A quiet, easily adjusted air conditioner as it was beastly hot during my visit.

Lack of accessible plugins for my devices. But I understand that older construction just did not have the amount of wiring that is common today, since we did not have so many devices requiring plugins then. I made out fine with my own cords and multi-plug. Monstrous beds taking up most of the room. Hard to navigate around these too huge too saggy beds. Difficulty driving up the steep hill and getting in and out of my stall. But that was mostly because of my arthritic shoulder and hands, which make handling my manual car in such circumstances difficult.

Right in the middle of town with lots of shops and places to eat. Close to the ferry terminal. Price was decent and the staff were very helpful and friendly. The young guy that checked us in and showed how to use the AC, TV and lights. There was a kitchenette with a lot of appliances including a larger fridge microwave kettle and air fryer plug in cook top. This was a room for 2 so enough dishes for 2-3 people. The bed was super comfy but a double which is fine for my son and I. We are both 5’4”. The bathroom was huge. Everything was clean and the owners live on site. Very nice lady!! The motel is an older one that has been refurbished so every inside was new. They looked like little bungalows with their own parking spot. I loved it

It wasn’t something I didn’t like per se, it’s that all of Powell River is on a hill so the driveway getting into the place is steep but parking spot in front of our place it was level. There were 3 stairs to the entrance of out suite. It may be an issue with some people with mobility issues.

I visit PR from Toronto once a year for hiking trips, and this is hands down my favourite place to stay when I get back to town and need a place to crash before getting the ferry in the morning enroute back to YVR. Location across from the dock is perfect, lots of neat little restaurants around for dinner (try Costa Del Sol!). Love sitting out in the cute little red chairs each unit has to watch the sun set behind the mountains over the water.

Not a thing!

The staff here are extremely welcoming and incredibly kind. The location is superb! We stayed for 3 nights and could walk to different restaurants each evening for dinner. The view is fabulous! The kitchenette has great appliances including an air fryer. I would definitely stay here again.

We are from a very small town and it took a couple nights to get used to the light pollution and the noise of being in a central location. A bedside table lamp would have been great to have.

Amazing location with great views. Really nice facilities, smart TV, air fyer/toaster/microwave/sink. Modern and recently updated. Bathroom was clean. Nice to have the patio chairs out the front of the room to sit out and enjoy the sun/views. Close to some really nice restaurants.

I thought I'd booked the oceanview suite, but somehow didn't. They couldn't move us the first night, but for a few dollars more they switched us to an oceanview suite for the next 2 nights. The staff were very nice. It was lovely view. We liked the fully stocked kitchenette with cooking pads. All very nice. Powell River has many beaches, ocean and lake. We visited them all.

First time staying here.. very happy. As soon as we arrived we were warmly greeted and personally escorted to our room - and shown how to operate everything. Check out a breeze, we were leaving early so just needed to leave our curtains open when leaving - digital key entry, so no keys to return! The view of the ocean and mountains was amazing!
