The beds were very comfortable, AC, shower, coffee maker, TV, wifi, etc. all good as expected. Staff very friendly. The property is a bit older and is under new management after a downturn during Covid. We had a great room rate that was really good value. We asked for a different room when arriving because we wanted one that looked out to the green area - and the manager was right there to make sure we were happy with what we got and help us move our things (which we didn't need as we had only just arrived). Seems like a place on the upswing - if you don't need extra bells and whistles and want a good rate for a comfortable stay, this is your place. Also: dinner at the restaurant was really delicious - Philippino food I believe. Also, a good price. Recommend.

As I said, for a budget option, there were no problems. If you have a problem with slightly old-fashioned decor, there are other places in town you can pay more for fashion. I was happy with the Hearthstone.

We stayed in a King Room, and it was clean, comfortable, and spacious. The staff at the front desk were excellent. There was an electrical issue with our initial room, but we were instantly moved to another King Room. Customer service was on point. I didn't get a chance to use the indoor pool but was glad to have the option. The electric fireplace was a bonus.

A couple smaller details that weren't deal breakers for me, personally. Things like the ice machine being out of order. There was no travel sized conditioner with the shampoo and shower gel, as I forgot to pack mine.

Front desk staff was very helpful and polite. Our room only had 3 pillows on the bed which we thought was a bit odd as most hotels provide 2 pillows on each side of the bed but they were able to provide an extra which was appreciated.

The headboard was placed in front of a wall which was not wide enough to put an end table on each side of the bed. It was awkward when time to go to sleep because there was not anywhere convenient to place my glasses.

Clean, restaurant on site

Staff were kind of cold and abrupt. On arrival the evening clerk was nowhere to be seen for about 12 minutes, no button or bell to summon. The morning clerk first offered a receipt and then noted I booked with booking.com and said I could get a receipt from booking .com. Tv sound did not work, when I reported that in morning, day clerk chided me for not reporting it previous night. I thought her demeanor was terrible.

A very large room with a super comfy king-size bed and plenty of furniture: (2 tables, 3 chairs, 2 bedside tables), a clothes closet and a cooking niche, with fridge & microwave. It seemed to have been recently remodeled & we enjoyed the coal-mining theme of the decor. I would definitely recommend.

Not enough light for reading,: no outlets by the bed

The king suite was so beautiful. The bed was very comfortable and the jacuzzi tub was perfect for two people. The room was much larger than I had expected. I thought it was just the bed and tub in the room, there was a while other room with seating, a fireplace and a desk.

We have no complaints about anything for this hotel. We have stayed in many places and this is the second time staying here. We enjoyed both our stays

Room, pool, parking all excellent. Food for breakfast was excellent but annoying sound

There was a very annoying high pitched sound in the dining room for the full several days we were there so we did not go back to the restaurant for any other meals. THis needs to be fixed. You could hear the sound even out at reception

The omelette was great but the potatoes were horrible on both my plate and my granddaughter s, could not eat them because they were like eating rocks, very over cooked, but service was good.

I would not mind a little slower service as long as I had food cooked properly not all over cooked, because I think the cook try’s to cook the food to fast.

It is centrally located and easy to find. Our room was very clean and quiet but not overly spacious The bed was very comfortable . The front desk staff were friendly and helpful. An adequate hot breakfast was available at a reduced price for hotel guests but this was not mentioned when we checked in although there was a small sign which I noticed by chance. We have stayed here several times and are always satisfied with our visit.

It is puzzling to me that a room with two beds, rented to two people, consistently has only one chair. One guest must always perch on the side of the bed or lay out flat on the bed! My request for an extra chair was not fulfilled. We stayed two nights and our room was not refreshed after our first night. The front desk provided coffee pods etc for our second morning. I kind of miss the breakfast in a bag provided during Covid restrictions. It was certainly adequate , convenient and free.
