The owner who greeted us was very pleasant, friendly and helpful. She seemed to have thought of everything to make sure that we had what we needed before they closed the office for the night. Both the bedroom and the bathroom were spacious and clean and we felt that almost every amenity was provided for. There was even the possibility of a hot tub, which I had not noticed when booking and thus we were not prepared to use. Breakfast was not included but could have been arranged. Because we were leaving early, we did not pursue the owner's indicating that she could make breakfast for us. She did, however, provide us with the name of a breakfast place in town that would allow us to get something to eat before we continued with our sight seeing. This turned out to be very satisfying and pleasant and a good start to our day.

A small thing: the time on the electric alarm clock, one of these types that I never really know how to use, was not properly set (or there had been a small power outage). I set it as best I could, but at mid-night, it rang with quite a terrible sound. I played with some buttons and eventually got the time set again. Luckily I relied on my own portable alarm clock, and there had been no repetition of that blaring sound by the time we were leaving.

Everything about this stay was just what we were looking for. We had spent the day on motorcycles, we were dirty, tired and hungry. The proprietress wasn't superficially engaging; she was the real deal. A lovely person who genuinely enjoyed doing what she does for her business and her guests. Normally I just want an anonymous experience, but she was so nice to talk to, she was accommodating, she made recommendations that were useful… She was easily half of what made it so great. And the other half was the room, itself. It was clean (I mean *actually* clean), it was current, and best of all, it was silent and the bed was wonderfully comfortable. The Lakeview was a welcome respite. It had all the accommodations we were looking for and more. It was evident that Management cared about its buildings, its guests and their experiences. My one regret is that I didn't also order the Indian Breakfast to take with me on my bike.

I was thoroughly delighted with the Lakeview Motel. It was close to the center of Haliburton Village. All rooms had parking in front of the doors. The staff was very helpful, wanting to make my stay an exceptional experience. The room was spacious with a very comfortable bed. The HD TV featured an extensive channel selection with both Canadian and US news, weather & entertainment choices. Every small detail had been thought of and put in place; there were boxes of tissues on both sides of the bed; the coffeemaker had extra coffee bags, allowing extra cups to be made; ever toiletry possibly needed was provided---it was as if the management had said, "What is everything we can do to make this a memorable experience for our guests." Also they featured a great breakfast menu which could be ordered the night before. An added feature was a large, heated pool. I highly recommend the Lakeview Motel!

We had such a wonderful stay at the Lakeview Motel! From the moment we arrived, Harsha welcomed us like family & really went above and beyond to make sure we had the best time. She has a map for everything which made exploring the area so easy. Her restaurant suggestions are spot on—Hook, Line & Sinker, McKeck’s, lunch at the Sirch Community Centre & the Antique Café are all amazing. Seriously, don’t miss the Antique Café! We were there to catch the fall colours & it was the perfect spot for that. The Haliburton Forest, Wolf Centre, and Sculpture Forest are all absolutely must sees. Our room #2 was spotless and well-equipped & we loved winding down by the fire outside in the evenings. The whole vibe is SO much better than Muskoka. We’ll definitely be back. Highly recommend staying here—5/5!

Lakeside Motel in Haliburton is a hidden gem! The location is perfect, just across Grass Lake. The co-owners, Jag and Hansa, are incredibly welcoming and hospitable, going above and beyond to ensure a comfortable stay. We were especially touched by their thoughtfulness in providing a cot for our 3-month-old without prior notice. We loved the heated swimming pool. The barbecue facilities were a fantastic addition, making our evenings even more enjoyable. The highlight of the stay was the frequent deer sightings on the property! Lakeside Motel is a peaceful getaway with top-notch service and a warm, family-friendly atmosphere. We'll definitely be returning!

The Guest Room was clean; the gas BBQ for grilling a steak or fish and the kindly provided utensils were very helpful and pleasant; on-site walking + relaxing opportunities are nice + peaceful; the local deer-family who visit the property, daily, like their pictures taken + are adorable!

The seemingly non-stop hourly, hot-tub re-heating noises next to some rooms (mine included) are disruptive; I didn't appreciate the smell of Indian kitchen when in the motel office. It's Canada heartland, some respect please. thank you.

I enjoyed seeing Deers,turkey and the various birds. I also enjoyed the view of the lake across the street. The room was modern and very clean. Bed was comfortable so I slept well. Wifi was strong and overall I was comfortable and safe for the night. reception was always friendly and helpful.

The fan in the bathroom is too loud for me. My stay was too short and check out is 11am and I consider that too early if I was there for pleasure

The owners take great pride in providing a nice stay - very hospitable! We loved that we could bring our dog and were greeted with a doggy gift bag! Plus, we loved the pool.

We stayed for a week in the king suite and found it a bit cramped with all of our stuff.

We arrived to amazing hosts Jack and Hannah They were so friendly and accommodating The room was clean organized warm and very inviting!! Rustic with a small fridge, Coffee maker and microwave They supplied everything we needed even a BBQ right outside our room!! We Cannot say enough good!! Truly was amazing They even gave a small gift to our little dog

There was not one thing we did not like!! Overall over the top experience We did not like the fact we had to leave!!

Owners were very helpful and accommodating, they go that extra mile to make it an enjoyable stay. We booked an extra night. Loved the pool and plenty of outdoor chairs and tables. Lots of wild life. I didn’t have time to explore the tracks.

I don’t think for the price we paid anything could be improved.
