Hidden oasis away from the bustling area. Close to the big Beijing sights with cheap taxis to get there. Property was a restored traditional building matched by the unbelievable attention given by the staff Rooms were great for the family and so authentic Helped with restaurant ideas, ordering taxis, free laundry service and a special souvenir of thanks Nothing was too much trouble for these lovely people to make our stay a memorable one.

Finding it initially was a little hard - just search for the Lezai Hotel. Not the hotel’s fault…perhaps Booking.com can simplify. Taxis rarely wanted to direct drive to the hotel- but location only adds to the charm

I was travelling on my own for the first time. The staff in the hotel from the time of booking to the end of my stay took great care of me. From ordering taxis, helping me when I got lost and in general, making sure that my every need was met. At breakfast there was a good variety of food to suit most people’s preferences, the room was comfortable and clean and the hotel is in a great location for experiencing a more authentic feel to visiting a big city like Beijing. A big thank you to all the staff for your care and kindness on a daily basis.

We loved staying here. The property is full of character, in the middle of the old Hutong streets full,of local color and liveliness. It has a traditional feel but very modern comfortable facilities, and a lovely rooftop area. The breakfast and “afternoon tea” of fruit are included and wonderful. But what really makes it is the incredibly welcoming and friendly attitude among the staff. It is a small hotel so they recognize you when you come in, and you get such a huge smile it makes your day. They went out of their way to help us with things like restaurant bookings. One thing to note: because it is in the middle of the old narrow streets some taxi drivers don’t like to go there later in the day. If you are coming from the airport, ask the hotel to arrange car.

We would happily stay here again anytime.

It is located in a Hutong which is very exciting for travellers. Loads of shops and places to get some street food nearby. Even though the hutong was very busy, the property is on a side street off the main lane. the room is so quiet and we didn’t hear a thing and slept well. The suite was incredible. Ours was a listed as a ‘small’ but it was so big, with a huge bathroom, a lounge, very big bed and bedroom and a walk in wardrobe. The property is beautiful. The breakfast served everyday was delicious and always had plenty of vegetarian and vegan options. There is a rooftop where you can have drinks or some afternoon tea watching the sun set over Beijing. Afternoon tea is served everyday, this was such a treat to eat freshly prepared fruit everyday. Free laundry service is provided which is so helpful. Finally, a shout out to the staff. all the staff are wonderful. They are so kind, warm and welcoming. The girl on reception helped us set up WeChat and Alipay and was very patient with us when doing so. I completely recommend this accommodation and if I return to Beijing I will stay here again.

We visited in Golden Week and the Hutong was very busy so getting to the property from the subway took a lot of time to get through the crowds. However, this is not the property’s fault. Just something to bear in mind if you visit in Golden week.

Always wanted to experience staying in a traditional Chinese courtyard hotel. The location of Lezai was excellent. It allowed for easy access to the nanluoguxiang hutong, a short walk away to the main road and the subway station. The rooms were well heated for our winter stay. The outdoor balcony would have been much better for use outside of winter. The room came with free breakfast and an afternoon tea. Most of all, they had an English speaking staff, and all their staff were extremely friendly and helpful. It made for a memorable stay.

As one could expect, the rooms are a little tight and the staircases were narrow. So try not to go with big and heavy suitcases.

the location of this hotel is AMAZING! In the middle of a traditional hutong and steps from a major pedestrian shopping thoroughfare, but the accommodation is quiet and peaceful. It is also a 5 minute walk to a metro station for two different subway lines!! The staff were lovely. Shout out to Alice and her team. They were pro-active, helpful, and the embodiment of hospitality. It is not easy to get tickets to some sites and Alice went above and beyond making the booking for me. The hotel is very atmospheric, the afternoon-evening tea is a wonderful way to rewind and regroup after a day out and about.

Nothing.

We had an amazing stay at this hotel, and a huge part of that was thanks to the incredibly friendly and helpful staff. From the moment we arrived, everyone went out of their way to make us feel welcome and comfortable. Whether it was recommending local spots, helping us with restaurants reservation, or just greeting us with a smile every day, their hospitality truly made our trip unforgettable. The hotel itself was clean, cozy, and well-located, but it was the people who made all the difference. Highly recommend staying here if you’re looking for a place that feels like home away from home!

the place was great, beautiful aesthetics, staff was friendly and helpful, we appreciated the unlimited free water because Beijing was so hot 3rd week of July and the free afternoon tea ❤️ location was in the hutong, the area where they are many smallshops. lots of things to eat and eye candies. photo in the website is exactly the way it look in actual

the aircondition in our room dripped not once but twice in the early hours of the morning , they were very apologetic , did something but did not work as it drip again ... but they are quick to change the linens and dry the mattress. room Li Chun

The place is clean and nice. Staffs are excellent! The location is hidden at the famous south Luo street, which saves our time for last min purchase of souvenir. And it is just a less than 1k walk to the lake, very nicely slot in the “loose” time in the evening. The counter staff has a box full of medication, so do not panic. The afternoon tea last from 2pm to 9pm, it provides us the opportunity of tasting Beijing pastry n fruits without searching around the city… last but not least, the kitchen can help u heat up ur street food if u want to keep for the next meal

Only downside is the family room has only one toilet which becomes a hassle for a family of four..

Loved the experience living in Hutong in Beijing’s central area. The hotel has an authentic and classy vibe. We enjoyed the traditional Chinese decor in the guest room and shared lounge area, and the music they played in the dining room. The afternoon tea and Beijing style snacks are definitely one of the highlights, they were freshly prepared and beautifully served.

The room we stayed was smaller than we expected, lol maybe the photos they posted on their page were dramatically stretched, but we understand the space in central Beijing for residents has been small since the old days.
