Great hotel in a great location. We were upgraded to a Residence which was a nice surprise. Breakfast was fantastic with two restaurants to choose from. Staff were very friendly and welcoming.

I love the location so much. it is tucked away nicely in the Hutong but also close enough to the bustling street! it was really dark and quiet at night which allowed for good rest! the hotel breakfast was beyond excellent! the whole experience was one of the best I have had - after staying at many places!

the only minor downside is that there aren’t enough hooks in the room for winter coats and such. would be nice to have places to hang things to air them

The food at Toast was amazing. The Bake (bakery) is also great with excellent chocolate chip cookies! The location is nice and had lots of options for us to find something to eat and buy as souvenirs to bring home. The room was very cute and comfy. Fruits given each day. Extremely helpful and kind staff, helped us on where and how to go to see places. Jie Han was the best :) Overall, hospitality was a solid 10.

The air conditioner was not strong enough to cool the upper part of the room where the bed was — since it's a little bit isolated from the downstairs. But we received a fan that we could use upstairs and it was great.

Couldn’t recommend this boutique hotel enough. Prime location on a quiet side street with tons to see and eat within walking distance. We originally planned to stay in Wangfujing but we are so glad we didn’t - this was a much more lively and interesting part of the city. Staff were super helpful, providing the best recommendations and helping us navigate different aspects of our trip. Breakfast was awesome, both the Chinese and western options. Room was really comfortable with a handful of nice touches added that made it even better.

The location was fantastic, really great for exploring the Drum Tower area and near the subway. It was very easy to access from the airport and the food options in the area were some of the best we found. The room was perfect, really comfortable and clean. The food options at the hotel were great, we really enjoyed the Furonji restaurant for both breakfast and dinner! The staff here could not have been more helpful. They helped with booking things and also with using some of the local apps to use rental bikes which made our stay a lot easier.

The communication before and during our stay was excellent. Even on the day, we received a message on WeChat to ensure that we were ok coming from the airport. Sarah on reception was excellent when we arrived (as she was during our whole stay!) and helped us book an entry onto Tiananmen Square the next morning. The availability of two types of breakfast was a nice unexpected offering. Location in the Hutong next to the Drum & Bell Towers is really excellent and fascinating. The nearest subway station is about 15 minutes walk.

There was a lot of building work going on so the hotel was a bit in disarray but that will be quickly resolved. We would have liked to have opened the blinds but they were either broken or fixed not to open.

Breakfast is a real highlight, with a choice of two on-site restaurants serving fresh, wholesome, and delicious food each morning. Don’t hesitate to book this place. The English-speaking staff are incredibly helpful and go above and beyond, assisting with everything from setting up WeChat and Alipay to helping you navigate the city with AMAPs. In a city as bustling as Beijing, having this kind of support makes all the difference.

The hotel is stunning itself! Adorable big rooms with everything needed. Very friendly and attentive staff who speak excellent English (which is not common in China in general). The breakfast restaurants are completely different, but both are very tasty! And special thanks for the small gift upon check-out. The location itself is also cool - the old streets of one-story Beijing. It was interesting to live away from the "tourist" city and see the life of the locals. Would I stay here again - yes! Would I recommend this hotel to friends - absolutely!

The main reception area is currently under renovation, so getting to the room involved a lot of stairs, which may not be very comfortable for older guests or guests with small kids. Also, the soundproofing in the rooms could be better - I could clearly hear when the neighbors upstairs flushed the toilet or took a shower.

Prior to our stay, the hotel directed us to the very useful pre-stay information on the its web site. On arrival, the reception staff - who all spoke excellent English - provided a warm welcome which included all the information we could have hoped for, enabling us to make the most of our short, three day stay in Beijing. Throughout our stay the hotel staff made sure we had everything we needed and couldn't have been more accommodating. They were more than willing to help us with excursion bookings, on-line flight check-ins and provide help and guidance in using the local Chinese apps for making payments, ride hailing, etc. The hotel's restaurants are likewise excellent.

The hotel was really cool and different - it had a unique layout with many outdoor parts. The room was nice and had its own elevated bed area. The bed was expensive memory foam and very comfy. The breakfast was amazing at bothbplaces we could choose from. The two cats that live there are very cute and friendly. The staff are also very friendly and happy to chat or give advice.

The hotel location is a little strange deep into a quiet hutong from the main road. However it is still in inner Beijing and not too far a walk so a minor criticism. The room was a little cramped. The bathroom was alright, around average.
