All three were excellent

What was upsetting was that the booking (25-26/10) on our return from Zhangjiajie was upgraded, without my request, to Business Deluxe from King Deluxe. We were very happy. However on our checking in we were informed that this room was without breakfast, whereas our previous booking (16-18/10) in the Kings room, had included breakfast. We would have preferred to have the same booking with breakfast instead of the hotel arbitrarily upgrading us without asking and slipping in the no-breakfast clause, which we did not notice. We paid extra for the breakfast, which in any case was a reasonable RMB 300/- But we had not asked for an upgrade...the hotel just did it on their own.!

Location in the centre of the city, rooms cosy. Buffet dinner quite good, great gym.

Older hotel with the smell of tobacco in non smoking rooms or at least in mine room 3507.

Location cannot be beat, situated between subway lines 1 & 2 travel to other parts of Chongqing is fast and easy. Hotel is located in the middle of the shopping and dining district with an abundance of options. The room was warm and comfortable, making it an easy choice to sleep in on cold mornings. Hotel staff was friendly and accommodating. Room service food was good and delivered promptly. We had an excellent 8 night stay that far exceeded our expectations!

The Chongqing weather was cold and grey, but we had a great time anyway. No hotel complaints at all, it was excellent.

Very convenient location - truly downtown and within a short 10 minute walk from almost all the main attractions that this incredible city has to offer. Shopping malls nearby, good restaurants a few steps away, convenience store across the street. Friendly and helpful staff - better to know basic Chinese though, but not necessarily. AC works well, bed is comfortable, rooms are big, breakfast is above average for China. Gym is ok, not too large. Make sure you check out sky lounge on top floor - it’s really cool.

Soundproofing of my deluxe business room could be better. Room cleaning missed a few visible spots, but not critical.

Very nice and large, with grand and classy furnishing. I appreciated the touches of traditional Chinese culture. The beds and the bathroom were very large, and stocked with great amenities. Additionally, the room was view beautiful. The staff were extremely helpful and friendly, especially receptionist Cami, who assisted us in a very kind early check-in. Overall, the hotel and stay was lovely.

My only main concern was that the room was too warm, and didn’t seem to be controllable via the dials in the room. While not detrimental, it did disrupt sleep slightly. The power outlets by the bed were also below the bedside table, meaning that while useable, it was very inconvenient to try and plug things in and they often didn’t stay in either.

Great location. The staff were exceptionally helpful and friendly. The cleaner checked our room and as we were checking out they received a call from her to say I'd forgotten a bracelet. The concierge even went up and collected it for us. The room was clean and large and very comfortable. The bathroom has alot of amenities, and I especially enjoyed the large tub with Epsom salts. We didn't have breakfast, so I can't comment on the food. I would definitely return to this hotel in the future.

The rooms are quite old style luxury. I didn't mind this but the carpet in our bedroom is definitely due a new one.

I recently had the pleasure of staying at this hotel in Chongqing, and it truly exceeded all expectations for my partner and I. The room was spacious and all amenities were provided. The room was not only large but also impeccably clean and well-maintained. We had a great city view as well. One of the standout aspects of this hotel was the exceptional service provided by the staff. They went above and beyond, assisting with booking tours at incredibly reasonable prices, much lower than those advertised on various websites. Their local knowledge was invaluable, they offered recommendations for bars and restaurants. Even with the language barrier, they were very willing to help us! The hotel's location was another highlight, situated in a prime area with easy access to many of Chongqing's most notable attractions. Being within walking distance to the metro station as well made exploring the city incredibly convenient. The breakfast buffet offered many options. We did not have this included in our room but could pay on the day when we wanted to have breakfast at the hotel. Overall, I couldn't fault this hotel and would undoubtedly choose to stay here again on my next visit to Chongqing.

They went above and beyond in receiving our parcels and resolving a delivery issue we had, which truly made a difference to our experience. Additionally, we were delighted by how beautifully our room was prepared to celebrate our anniversary, with thoughtful touches that made the occasion even more special. We also want to express our gratitude to the housekeeping staff, who ensured our room was always spotless and comfortable every day. The level of care and attention from the entire team made our stay memorable, and we truly appreciate all their efforts. On top of that, the hotel’s central location was a huge bonus, making it incredibly easy to explore the area and visit all the attractions we had in mind.

Although the hotel is older, its facilities are still comparable to many other hotels in the area. While it may not have the smart systems that some newer hotels in China offer, it provides all the essential amenities and comfort for a pleasant stay.

Great location, within walking distance to the central commercial districts in Chongqing, and plenty of food alleys and side streets. Hong Ya Dong and Shibati tourist attractions are also within 1km walking distance away. We enjoyed an upgrade to a suite with great views of the city, and had a ton of room, although the facilities were more old school hotel luxury. The hotel has all the typical trappings of a classic five star business hotel - robes, slippers, iron etc - and other amenities that could be requested or rented from the front desk. We did have to ask for some extra water and the elevators were a little slow and programmed to be rather inefficient, but these are minor nitpicks, and the staff were accommodating.

The location is excellent. It is within the walking distance to Jiefangbei Pedestrian Street The room is spacious and comfortable. The cleaning lady was very kind and helpful when we stayed at the Room 2011. She even wrote us a note to apologise in case she had not cleaned our shoes well. In fact, she had done an excellent job. The concierge staff esp, Alan was very professional and helpful. He helped book our six seater taxi to Chongqing Airport. He was so trustworthy and sincere that he paid our taxi fare first before I could transfer the taxi fare back to him on our arrival at the airport. We are impressed with his professionalism and kindness.
