I loved the room. It was big and beautiful and the view was great! It was near Shibati so there are lots of shops and restaurants nearby. The room had a big room and kitchen and washing machine. Everything I need for my stay is available.

It is a bit far from train stations which is my preferred transport but there is a bus stop nearby. Other than that, this place is fantastic!

Staff are polite, room is spacious and rates are reasonable, property location is good - away from CBD crowd yet still sufficiently central, room cleaning service is good - generous in replenishing bottled water daily & toiletries, we also had an extra quilt and a clothe rack, household appliances in good working condition - tv, washer/dryer, microwave oven, fridge, etc. We are very happy with the stay and will likely use same property for future holidays if available.

Two small encounters: 1) The door card reader that controls the room electricity & lighting malfunctioned on one day during our stay - there was no light & no electricity for a while. We had to get the technician to change the reader 2) The property has a lounge on the third floor for tenants to use during their stay or in between their checkout & flight time. The swimming pool and gymn are on the same floor. When we went to the lounge at about 10pm on the day we checked out (as our flight was 2am), the whole floor was pitch dark and no staff was manning the facility. These facilities should be kept open for use 24 hours.

Lots of pros to talk about it. - Staff // customer service were excellent. Every staffer we spoke to was super friendly and helpful. - Great facilities. Pool and Gym were well kept and easy to access. - Breakfast was really good. Good buffet selection and fresh options. - Great views of the Yangtze River - Rooms are massive. Like next level big. It was just me and my girlfriend and there was more space than we knew what to do with.

- Location overall wasn't as good as it looks on the map. You can walk to the attractions if you want but be prepared for a lot of stairs and about a half hour walk. - Walls in the hotel are paper thin. First night there our neighbours spent around 20 minutes playing around with the various light switches and we could literally hear every switch click. It was annoying to the point that we had trouble sleeping.

The serviced apartment was extremely spacious and had everything I needed. The staff were all extremely friendly, I requested a few extra amenities on a few occasions and even the housekeeping staff were extremely friendly. I was worried that the accommodation would be too far from metro but actually it was quite easily accessible with a short 10-15min walk and very close to Shibati as well.

Everything was great and if there was something I felt could be improved perhaps the dining/breakfast area could be bigger. The space was already not that big but when it gets busy in the morning, you end up having to share tables with others, it's fine if you get there early though. Just nick picking, otherwise i would definitely stay at this property again next time.

The room was incredible, bigger than a family apartment. Fully equipped and with a great view of the city. Having two bathrooms, a washing room inside the room and a huge living room with corner windows...we didn't want to leave the hotel. The breakfast was awesome and with a great variety. The gym and the swimming pool amazing as well. But the last thing I want to add is the incredible help the staff offered us when we tried to book a museum visit. They even did a detailed sketch and instructions for us!

If there is anything negative to say, it would only be that it wasn't close to public transport

I love the quality of the room and exceptional breakfast. Love the view of Yangtze river. Location is near Shabati which is a plus. Also there are lots of restuarant around. The little detail like having the free detergent for washing machine is very considerate.

The venue for breakfast was a bit crowded even though extra space was provided still felt too small but the quality of the breakfast and choices were excellent. The place was a little bit far from the subway and the climb up is quite high.

Huge 1 bedroom apartment on the river. Decent breakfast. No smells. No cigarette smoke in the room. Loud noises only from 4 to 6pm from stage behind the hotel (this is better than most places in China). Easy to control the temperature (Central AC/Heating). Quiet at night.

It's a 30 minute walk STRAIGHT UPHILL to anything interesting, but we are in good shape so it wasn't an issue for us. For normal people, maybe take Didi :)

The family room was spacious, clean, fully equipped and the heater worked well, especially in the chilling December weather. We had a good view of the river and the city lights. The kitchen was very useful when you travelled with family, with the cutleries, refrigerator, microwave and all. There was a washing machine in the room so you don't have to bring dirty clothes back home.

A bit far from grocery store and dining area, but still walking distance. So not much of complain.

Very nice and quiet hotel, with friendly and helpful staff. The rooms are huge and comfortable, the bathrooms too. We felt very comfortable and would book Somerset again at any time and would also recommend it to friends and family.

The criticism takes place at a high level as our holiday enjoyment wasn't really spoiled by it. The two points that weren't perfect were the lime / dirt? deposits, especially in the corners of the shower / toilet, and the cramped, sometimes overcrowded breakfast room. Structural conditions are probably difficult to change, but housekeeping could be given more time for thorough cleaning, especially before peak seasons such as Chinese New Year.

Fantastic facilities, friendly and helpful staff and great breakfast. The pool and gym facilities were exceptional, clean and well looked after. Big pool. We were able to check in at 9am as our cruise docked at 8am, fantastic. Huge room, plenty of space. Able to do out laundry in our room. We would definitely recommend this hotal and we would most definitely stay here again. Great value.
