Everything was perfect. All of the staff members were very polite, helpful and professional. Especially Ms. Sue, who went out of her way to make our stay even more pleasant. In addition to the great staff, the view from our room was stunning. We were initially facing the back side (nice as well) but requested to be moved to a room facing the front side (view of the horizontal construction and main part of the city). The staff was kind enough to change our room the following morning! Both rooms were very clean and in great condition. Moreover, the lobby which is situated on the 42nd floor, was beautiful. The giant silver crystal and surrounding greenery was a very cool design and pleasant to look at. Finally, the location of the hotel is also great. It is located next to many of the main attractions and in the 'main' part of the city. There is also a large shopping mall in the buildings bellow the lobby known as 'Raffles City'. Overall, I highly recommend staying here and will be sure to stay here again!

We were very impressed with our stay at the Intercontinental Chongqing. The hotel is just like in the pictures – beautiful interior, impressive lobby, excellent restaurants, spa, and a pool with stunning city views. You don’t even need to visit an observatory deck, the hotel has it all! Everything was spotless, the food was great, and the location is perfect with direct access to the mall and metro. The staff were extremely polite and friendly, making us feel welcome at every moment. A special thanks goes to the manager, Mr. MIKE, who was exceptionally kind and professional. His outstanding service truly elevates the hotel to an even higher level. We will definitely return – highly recommended!

More expensive than other international brand

I had a great stay at InterContinental Chongqing Raffles City. Arrived at noon and was kindly upgraded and allowed to check in early by Manager Wang. He was apologetic though I didn't queue for long at Check In. The process was fast and smooth. Mr Wang was professional and friendly. Concierge was helpful at level 42 and spoke great English. Security staff was also great at level 42. Security noticed a man doing a live and was constantly trying to get me in his live and as soon as the staff noticed he quickly came into action. He stood in between the man and I, therefore I was not captured in the live video. He went extra miles by going to the lift with me. I will return when I visit Chongqing again. Thank you for the amazing hospitality!

The very quintessence of an international chain hotel, with the very best that IHG can showcase: opulent design, architectural drama, jaw-dropping views, charming staff and faultless service. The breakfasts were astonishing and our light supper at Shua quite delicious

Obviously not one for people who prefer an individualised, boutique hotel experience. The predictability of the IHG experience which is a key attraction of chain hotels in its class can also become its downfall. As with much in life, it’s a matter of horses for courses

Reception staff at the lobby was too cold and always busy with their computers, twice I had to stand waiting to check-in or enquiry about the hotel, without anyone attended to me promptly. There was even a guy wandering behind the front desk, overseeing the reception staff without even looking at me to ask if I need anything, not once, but twice. I have had better and warm reception in nearby hotel.

Incredible service. Quality of everything is outstanding, even for Chinese standards. Location center of center. City view from 56th floor amazing. Stuff amazing, polite, nice etc. Housekeeping also exceptional.

Breakfast has many options, but could be on higher level. Look for inspiration from Guangdong high level hotels.

Unique hotel! Everything is superb! The architecture of the building, the scale, the fantastic decor and furnishings! Absolute cleanliness, the staff is very kind and courteous! The room on the 56th floor is wonderful with a breathtaking view. Absolute admiration and gratitude! Variety of restaurants and bars!

Everything is excellent.

Fantastic views, the lobby isn't on the ground floor so even the lobby has amazing views. Location is fantastic, a huge mall just downstairs, don't even need to go outside. 15mins walk to hongyadong, 30mins walk to jiefangbei square. Room was really spacious and the views were excellent!

Great location. Close to attractions and cruise terminals. Room was clean and comfortable. Breathtaking view from the window. Lots of choices for breakfast. Plus there is a shopping mall on the lower floors of the building. Convenient for both shopping and dining.
