Room was very comfortable. Breakfast featured an impressive array of selections. I enjoyed the view of the city from my room on a high floor on the south side of the building. Great desk and nice office chair for working.

There was a loud TV in the bathroom mirror (???) that came on almost every time I turned on the light in there. To turn it off I had to use a remote control which I eventually found in a little amenities box on the bathroom counter. The location is a little inconvenient if you are relying on the metro to get around - it's about a 20-minute walk to any of the closest stations (Linhexi, Tiyu Xilu, or Zoo), during which you will be ridden at by e-bikes on the sidewalk every step of the way.

The room was very nice. The staff were always very helpful. Breakfast was a treat.

No complaints with the hotel. Booking.com gave incorrect directions to the hotel. That was inconvenient.

This hotel was exceptional. The room was beautiful and the staff were so polite and eager to help. In fact we had a small complaint as we were first put on the 9th floor, right above the Bar/Lounge (8th floor)...and we could hear the music until 1am each night..but as we were having to get up early each day, we asked to be moved to a higher floor if possible. The reception team were so helpful and immediately moved us. Making our stay much more comfortable. The breakfast was huge with a great selection of all different types of foods. The pool, Jacuzzi and Sauna were also nice. The hotel is a 15min walk from the metro, so was very handy location wise, however Taxi's are rediculously cheap in China, it made sense just to get taxis to most places. For example a 30minute journey would cost around £3 GBP.

The Sofitel Hotel is located within a short drive by taxi (reasonable priced) from the train station, modern Teem mall shops and Beijing Lu shopping street and temple. Our room on floor 17 was overlooking a 14 lane road but was quiet. The room had comfort and modern luxury. The staff were helpful and friendly. Had all our meals at the Chinois Restaurant serving great Chinese food at reasonable cost including an eel dish. Swam at the 30m indoor pool and enjoyed the spa and sauna. Would stay at the Sofitel again when in Guangzhou.

The room need an electronic bidet, similar to that in Japanese public toilets

No negative aspects.

The view from my Luxury King room on the 16th floor was absolutely breathtaking as it was a 180 degree view of the city. Breakfast was delicious as it provided a variety of different food. The grand entrance of the hotel are what dreams are made of as it is enormous. Stay on the look out for Samuel who works at concierge. He was extremely polite, patient and helpful. He said that he would have my back and he certainly did as he went above and beyond every single time. I would come back to the Sofitel just knowing that someone like him was working there, absolute lifesaver!

The furniture was outdated

The room was superb! Very clean and spacious. The hotel itself is wonderful! And the location is perfect. Could not have chosen a better place. The staff were really kind and helpful. We definitely recommend getting the breakfast option. It really helped to not have to worry about where we would get breakfast and the options at the buffet are excellent!!! The cleaning staff are very kind and do such an excellent job of ensuring amenities are available to you. The location is close to everything, so that was excellent. The price was so right for such a luxurious experience! 😍

We weren't aware we would be charged substantially more than the agreed room price upon arrival, so we were shocked when almost double what we intended was deducted from our account. However, it was explained that a deposit was required as well as the room payment, and this deposit was refunded at check out, which was great.

Hotel was clean and modern with great restaurants and bar. Close to Canton Fair and great shuttle service.

I booked the property in my name through Booking.com and for a business stay for my company. Even though my husband was travelling with me, his name was never entered whether in the booking or payment. However I noticed while using the wifi and checking out , that the lady at reservation had changed all the contact details to his name. Super frustrating in this day and age.

Hotel entrance is magnificent. Interior is just like a wonder land. Rooms are clean, comfortable cozy, and stuff is so nice. Couldn’t wish for a better hotel. 1. STAFF! What I appreciated most is that hotel staff assisted us in many different questions like how to get to some place, calling taxi, getting to airport, recommendations on shopping sites. China is awfully burdensome place for tourists, but Sofitel stuff made it much easier for us. They called for a taxi via didi for us, which we much appreciated. Thank you Sofitel especially english speaking members. I dont remember names. 2. FOOD. It is worth giving applause to the chiefs of the hotel, we had in room dining one night. Ordered nasi goreng and tomato soup, it was so yummy. Worth the price! 3. FACILITY! Everything at the hotel was modern, new, charming. Its entrance is so adorable. Hallways, restaurants, rooms everything was beautiful and according to world standards. Glad i chose Sofitel 🙏

Breakfast till 10:30, haha. But this is totally comprisable.

I really appreciate all of staff here Especially, Samuel, a girl wear eyeglasses and work in a night shift with him and Irina. They willing to help me once have any problems; - the hotel prepare for early checking - helping when could not contact delivery for getting the food - suggest the local area, proper to visit in a short time, and suggest where to buy the food/ shopping in a night - exchange money THANKS Moreover, the bathtub was great, recharge power when walking all day and the maid clean the room very nice 🙂
