Generally the service coincide well with good practices of Intercontinental, namely good and properly equipped room, it is not necessary to ask them to bring toiletries or something, everything is in place. Personnel is attentive and tries to do their best. Coming to Hainan today you should be aware that practically nobody could speak English (and most probably other languages as well), few of them can understand, and you should be patient enough to explain what you want. If you succeed, everything will be done in a blink of an eye and completely in accordance with what was understood. I recommend having mobile internet available to use on-line translation services, which is helpful, but not a guarantee. Hotel restaurants are good quality, but extremely expensive. Breakfast was nice, especially its Chinese dishes, Western part was much more dull and usual. Swimming pools are in perfect condition (as for me, they were too shallow). And it is a pool with sea water, fishes and turtles, which is worthy to mention, and they organise aqualung diving there ;-) instead of open sea. It could be mentioned that there is a duty-free shopping centre nearby where there are a number of good (maybe not very cheap) restaurants, which are twice cheaper than ones in the hotel.

Everyone who comes to Hainan must be aware that it is prohibited to swim in the sea except the few beaches, and this hotel, which is the front-line on the perfect beach, is not the exception. Discussing the mistakes we faced in service, one can write a novel about, but all problems were resolved, and we feel it rather funny than disappointing.

There are lots of activities for children all included with the price of our room. Plus an arcade that my children loved. The staff were so kind, friendly and helpful. I lost my phone and one of the cleaning staff helped me find it. It was my daughter’s birthday and they surprised her with a cake and souvenir bag. The breakfast buffet was incredible and the Chinese dinner we had at their Chinese restaurant was delicious. The room was spacious, clean with a bath on the balcony. 2 pools, excellent kids indoor play area and access to the beach.

Nothing. The hotel was clean, spacious, well attended and maintained with lots of things to do.

Underwater restaurant, Wechat concierge service, pools with foamparty, billard table, huge breakfast selection, beautiful garden, spacious room with bathtub on balcony, fancy hairdryer and electric curtains, beautiful beach, shopping centers with dining options right next to hotel / across the street

The room had no closets to store our clothes and belongings, two sinks in the bathroom but only one handsoap, generally a little too much perfume in the soap / body wash / shampoo, swimming at the beach not allowed

The room was fantastic, the Aquarium and Aqua restaurant were also unmissable. The breakfast was probably the best of the included breakfasts we experienced in the 6 different hotels we stayed at. The pool was heated, unlike the previous pool at the previous hotel which was only good for doing laps. Live music in the evenings was also very nice.

I like swimming in the sea, and unfortunately this isn't allowed by the government due to safety concerns...

Lovely room and size was great! A property with vast area and walking spaces. Lots of green. Love the deep aquarium - the species of aqua life and their numbers were just nice for that space…pls do not add more or ensure a good swimming space for them.

Sand Flies…got bitten badly on our first evening likely at Cabana where we had drinks/snack and a short stroll at the beach just in front.

Joanna, Carter and Ferdie. These guys are amazing workers. I wrote a review on the intercontinental site already! But basically these guys did their best to keep my family satisfied from start to finish to compensate the minor hiccups.

Minor things we can forget such as property maintenance (after the amazing service)

This hotel was well designed, fancy, comfortable, considerate and well maintained. We upgraded to a room on higher floor and got fantastic sea view. You can watch sun rise sitting in the couch on the balcony or just lying in bed, which was a huge bonus. Room was beautiful and spacious. A lot of things to do in the Hotel. Definitely worth the price and will visit again.

It was a huge resort where walking around it takes around 30 - 40 minutes to complete it. The area surrounding the area are covered with coconut trees and mangos and others.

As a Muslim, the breakfast was limited to, also the restaurant collaborating with the hotel had a limited menu.

Breakfast spread was awesome. We were very satisfied with our room.

I understand it's a resort but the location was surrounded by duty free malls. No local shopping malls, supermarket etc. it was also hard for us to order food in as we didn't have a local number. The staff however went the extra mile to help us with. Resort food is very expensive

it has a great,clean,soft and quiet beach.The sea water is cristal clean,but swimming is forbidden. The whole working team tried their best to help us and created a good ambiance for all guests.

1,the facilities are old,also the plants are not that well designed. 2,full of children,much noise. 3.the quality of breakfast needs to be improved.
