The staff are the best. It’s the best service at high international 5 star standards. The rest of the hotels in Sanya rated at 5 stars are NOT 5 stars. Maybe to local China standards, but not international standards.

Hard to control children. Guests didn’t listen or respect the adult only pool rules. Staff tried, but guests just did what they wanted. It’s a shame because adult couples don’t want to be around screaming children all the time. They need to respect the rules.

The hotel staff were amazing and very helpful during the whole stay. We tried all the restaurants and they were all very good. The hotel facilities is a 10/10, the pools were super big and great area to relaxed.

The room were a a bit smaller than expected.

Absolutely everything! This resort did not disappoint and the staff were incredible. The hospitality and genuine care topped off our stay. The food was fantastic and lots of different options to choose from. Rob the manager was very accommodating. We will be back!

Everything! The hotel itself, Restaurants, Bars, Facilities. But the best for us was the staff. So close and nice contact we never had in a hotel. Maximum professional! Thanks to Rob, Felipe, Daniel, Made and all other staff i didnt mention. It was amazing for us (and we will come again!)!

F&B venues are excellent

Gym is equipped with low end products and loudly music from the small swimming pool.

Fantastic hotel with great facilities but it’s the staff that really made it so special. Everyone was extremely friendly and helpful, including the check-in team, restaurant staff, spa ladies, playroom staff, lifeguards and all the gardeners who smiled and waved at our toddler. They made a big fuss for my birthday and my son even had a personalised meal cooked just for him and delivered to our room by chef Kitty.

The Edition is a beautiful property with its own beach and huge grounds and a number of pools including one on the 12th floor. 3 great restaurants and a fantastic sky bar on top most floor. Exceptional customer service and can do attitude through out our stay be it the reception, the restaurants, housekeeping or the pool staff. This was definitely one of the best properties I have stayed in a very long time and we will come back.

Unfortunately this is not the hotels issue, but one cannot enjoy a dip in the sea due to the constant security presence. You are not allowed to enter the water.

For the price you pay for a room, appliances could definitely be better. A/C was not properly working, bathroom doesn’t have a fan, TV too old and small The restaurants in the hotel are way too overpriced

The Edition Sanya has a really terrific salt water pool and the pool DJ playing every afternoon made my holiday with a nearly perfect Ibiza feeling. At Haitang Bay you can't swim in the sea, but you can choose from a variety of very well maintained hotel pools. The breakfast buffet was excellent. The Skybar is nice with a beautiful view but is inside and closes during the week at 11pm. Unfortunately the friendliness of the staff is not so outstanding as described, I would describe it rather as normal with a tendency to bad. I'm a frequent traveler but never had the experience of not being served in a nearly empty hotel restaurant for over 30 minutes and then had to decide for room service as the restaurant already closed at 8:15pm. Another critical point is, that I mainly chose the hotel besides of the local art gallery mentioned in the hotel description, unfortunately the art gallery is a complete construction side and not open now, same for several parts of the hotel which are also under construction. And last but not least, a hotel of this category shouldn't be home for ants in the guest rooms. Price performance ratio in comparison to other hotels in Sanya did not meet my expectations.
