Location (close to metro, city wall, alleys with restaurants…), excellent breakfast, spacious rooms (2 queen bed room easily fits a family of 4 plus luggage)

I was a little dissapointed by not receiving an answer to my message sent via booking site- I was asking about the directions to the hotel. It was quite challenging to find the way from the underground tunnel, but we did it:)

The triple room is OK for three persons, there is enough space for big suitcases. Everything is clean. There were washing machines and dryers on our floor, so we could wash and dry our clothes - very comfortable is when you are on a trip for weeks.

It is quite noisy in the room, you can hear the vehicles passing through the nearby streets all night long. The reception staff did not speak English. They used translation apps, and so we managed to communicate with them. But in my humble opinion it is not OK for a hotel of an international chain, where guests come from all over the world, to have reception clerks without at least basic English.

Perfect location. Good restaurants nearby. . Google location is wrong. After getting down from metro, take exit C and continue to exit number 3 (NandaJie west). The hotel comes right side after couple of buildings.

The room was clean and well-maintained by the staff. The breakfast buffet was very good and I could even get coffee before breakfast started. The best thing was--I understand this is typical in hotels in China--there were two well-equipped landry rooms where guests could wash and dry clothes free of charge. Wow, this was a first! Free laundry in a hotel. Finally, the location was awesome. The hotel is located in the historic city center within the ancient city wall nestled between the Drum Tower and the Bell Tower. Across the street from the main entrance there is a convenience store and 2 or 3 small local restautants serving Xi'an's famous pork sandwiches and belt noodles. There are more upscale restaurants on the main avenue a 2-minute walk from the hotel.

Not the hotel's fault, but summer is hot in Xi'an so it may not be the best season to visit with small children or older adults. It was really hot in August.

Breakfast has a good spread. Many choices of food. Coffee selection is good. Room is quite large with enough space. Bathroom facilities and shower is strong. Location of the hotel is very near to Bell & Drum Tower with access to the Xian metro easily. Walkable distance to Muslim street, Grand Mosque and ancient great wall. Most attractions are easily accessible by using the metro train. A lot of food varieties nearby.

The wifi coverage is very low and not accessible sometimes. We landed at Xian past midnight. Instruction to the hotel was through a very dark alley which we were not comfortable and was a little scary especially for ladies or solo travelers.

The location is within 5 mins walk to the Bell Tower and it's metro. Other than the cleanliness and good services of the staffs, here are other details of the good experience: - They have a tour booth in the hotel, making it easy to make engage a tour to the Terracotta Army or Mt Huashan. We had wonderful experience with miss Liu who helped us with the arrangements. - Hotel provides unlimited free bottled water. Never short of this, especially during the hot spell. - There's a sundry shop opposite selling Tsingtao at only RMB4/bottle and some 1L craft beers at only RMB22. - Best water pressure during shower in my life. - The lobby is a great hangout area. Bought some snacks and beers and no one disturbed us. - Reception was helpful to move us to a quieter room.

There's a disco or live show nearby. Full blast of music with deep bass until 4.30am. So best to ask the reception to move you to a quieter room to avoid the music.

Very near from the Metro station of the Bell Tower (Zhong-lou), the very center of tourism. Plenty of shops and restaurants around the hotel. There are two free laundry machines and two free drying machines on the 7th floor. You can eat your food on the lobby floor. The price is very competitive (low)! There is a desk of a tourism agency on the lobby floor, and I enjoyed a group tour. The employees of the front desk do not speak good English, but they are friendly and we could somehow communicate. Breakfast was OK. I will be happy to stay in this hotel again!

My stay at Holiday Inn Express Xi’an was very pleasant. The hotel offers excellent value for money, combining comfort, convenience, and efficient service—everything you need for a smooth stay. A great way to fuel up before a day of exploring! ✔ Convenient Location – The hotel is situated in a practical area with easy access to public transport, making it simple to reach Xi’an’s top attractions, including the metro and Bell Tower area. ✔ Friendly & Efficient Staff – The front desk team was welcoming and helpful, providing quick check-in/out and useful local tips. I purchased a number of items from taobao and it gets delivered to the hotel and i am able to pick up my parcel from the hotel reception with ease when i returned from my sightseeing in the evening. Housekeeping also did a fantastic job maintaining cleanliness. For travelers looking for a no-fuss, comfortable, and affordable stay in Xi’an, I’d definitely recommend Holiday Inn Express. It delivers everything you’d expect from the brand—consistent quality and great service. I’d happily stay here again!

Location was in the Center of Xian, very near to metro station exit3. Walking distance to City Wall, Bell tower & Muslim quarter. Room was a bit dusty and we ask cleaners to vacuum again as son has bad sinus so need to be clean. Room also provide a humidifier. Room was huge for family of 3pax, 1 double & 1 single with side couch and side table. Comfortable bed and pillows, but pillows have the bean type as well.

The toilet bowl was choked twice within an hour after check in, but after the second pump everything goes well. And water always seeped through the shower screen and caused the mat to get wet each time.

The property was easy to find and just steps away from the Bell Tower, metro lines, and the Muslim Quarter. They offered free bottled water and plenty of toiletries. The rooms were simple but clean. They also had a laundry room with free high end washers and dryers that we used to clean our clothes half way through our adventure. The staff held our bags for us as we had a later flight. Breakfast was traditional Chinese style but they also had eggs, toast, cereal and fruit.

It was great, but just know that the main entrance is actually a short way down a small alley off the Main Street. Our taxi driver dropped us off in the front.
