Great facilities, towels and slippers provided, bathrooms had soap and paper towel, common room was equipped with games and plenty of seats. Staff were very friendly and helpful, they wrote a note for me in Chinese to find vegetarian food. Beds were cosy and comfortable, with bedside light, electrical plugs and shelf, with a thick curtain for privacy and light protection. Social vibes are also very good, the common area is very well suited to meet people. I will definitely stay here again if I return to Xi'an (even if it were more expensive it would be worth it).

Bathrooms were spotless in the morning but got dirty later at night. Maybe they need to be cleaned more than once a day when the hostel is really busy.

Everything! The staff walked through all the facilities and thought of every details, including leaving your shoes outside and providing slippers otherwise it gets smelly in the room. Shelving to put your stuff and hooks inside the dorm. Location is fantastic, close to metro and the drum and bell towers. Also the Muslim quarters is right across the street

A bit difficult to find and the message for the direction didn't show up on my phone until I checked in, but I think it is to do with my VPN. It's between the two phone stores, up the stairs through the plastic curtain. Wished I stayed an extra night!

Great stay. Walking distance from the Muslim Quarter, metro and other attractions. Super friendly and helpful staff that let us check in early. Super clean — there was always someone cleaning or picking things up. Nice beers (green tea wheat beer is my fave!) and snacks. Cheap breakfast option if you need to have a snack as soon as you wake up. Towels, water, slippers, shampoo and other stuff provided at the hostel. If I come to visit the city again I will stay at Desti.

The lockers in the room are stupidly loud. The internet was a bit patchy.

A very nice place, the facilities were in very good condition, the staff was very friendly, very attentive at all times, the atmosphere was pleasant, dynamic and a place where you also make friends, the subway is very close, the tourist sites are also very close, the conditions are excellent.

The bathrooms were a little dirty but that was because of the people who came in and didn't leave them clean when they finished doing their business. Points for improvement: 1- you could serve snacks in each of the rooms. 2- That the bathrooms are always kept clean..

They have it all: the staff and the place. A true exception in China: the location is awesome, youthful as the name suggests, a place to meet new people from all the world or to just chill in a nicely decorated loft, but the most important thing is that the staff all speak english, which is a rarity in China. This has made our stay really comfortable and I deeply thank them for being so professional. Bravi, bravi, bravi.

The only downside is that we weren't able to find the place as easily as it could be (even though they wrote us directions beforehand): on the walkside there's a set of stairs bedides to a phone store (I think it's HUAWEI), you've got to take that entrance and go left, you will find an elevator that brings you to the hostel. Look closely for the name on the building and inside, it's not really big so it may not be really visible. That said, if you stay in Xi'an, ABSOLUTELY go here, you will enjoy it. Each bed has privacy curtains (which you should keep open if you feel hot, instead of freezing the air in the room that makes you sick if you inhale it all night long as if you sleep in the street) and a small locker assigned. There are enough toilets and showers and overall the place is clean. The location is central and near a night market. The place is very big and I guess offers some music that luckily I did not cross. Reception is 24/7 and most of receptionists could speak at least some English. It is possible to pay by card using POS.

The room was very noisy as there is heavy traffic at all times. Also, it was very difficult to find the hostel because there was no sign outside.

Spacious and quiet rooms. Comfortable beds, towels, slippers, and toiletries available. Everything very clean. We had an issue with the attitude of some roommates and felt very uncomfortable. We spoke to the staff to change rooms, and they were very understanding and attentive. They even invited us for a coffee to apologize for the inconvenience. Afterwards, we had fantastic roommates in the new room. Directions: take the metro to Zhonglou (Bell Tower) station, exit D. Head towards the bell tower until you find a Huawei store. It's next door. If you can't find it, show the written address in Chinese to any shop in the area; that's how we found it.

.The directions to get there are not sufficient. There's a lack of signage at the street entrance indicating that there's a hostel in that building. If you don't speak Chinese, it's a bit complicated to understand the directions on Booking.com.

The hostel is conveniently located right next to Xi'an Bell Tower and the Muslim Quarter, major attractions and great food locations. The staff is attentive and really helped us even before our arrival. We had an issue with Trip.com to book Terracotta Army entrances, and Alan allowed us to use the hostel phone number and helped us to reserve tickets via WeChat. Also, they pointed us at at the Gao Compound to see the Shadow Puppetry show: an amazingly preserved house which is marvellous already in itself, and also enables to see the show in a less touristic environment compared to other Shadow theatres we then saw around the city. Highly recommended!!!

One thing I'd improve is the signs outside of the building: is not super easy for non-Chinese speakers/readers identify where to locate the way to reach the hostel (it's on the 2nd and 3rd floor of a tech department mall), but by simply asking around people will point you in the right way

Really clean rooms and bathrooms, cheap laundry and drying available, beds are comfortable and very quiet/dark at night. The common area is nice and lots of stuff going on. A good bathroom ratio so there's no queues. The location is great for most things in Xi'an and very easy to get to from Xi'an Station on the subway.

There wasn't a space in the rooms to unpack at all or keep a few things out, especially if you're on a top bunk, so we had to keep everything in our bag and keep tidy so as not to get in the way. Only a small problem though :)

Excellent hostel, clean and comfortable with super facilities. There were loads of staff, all helpful. Dorm beds are comfortable and the guests were observing the quiet hours. Shower and toilet blocks were big and kept very clean. The hostel has a bar and does a great value breakfast. There was music performances in the evening. Location is perfect - just beside the Bell Tower and shops and metro station. Best hostel I've stayed in.
