Very nice and clean rooms. Excellent service at front desk for e everything we needed and fast laundry service. Very good breakfast with great selection of fruit, hot and cold buffet. Very good, large gym for a hotel this size. Very good lunch and dinner at restaurant (at reasonable price) with beautiful views on the mountains.

Location is ok but about 15 minute walk from downtown (but this was stated in description and fine for us)

Second time staying at this location. This hotel has a great location. You can walk from the Aereo station to the hotel and you can walk to the Fundadores mall and other points on Avenida Santander as well as Centro. Staff were nice and helped hold our bags after check out which made things easier. The location has a restaurant on site as well as a gym and a bar. Restaurant has a wonderful view. On Sundays, when the street is shut down for excercise, you are about five minutes from the dance classes and all the action.

The hotel is on Avenida Santander so if can be noiser than other hotels but this is not a deal breaker. The elevator is a bit tight but once again - this is not a deal breaker.

Location, cleaningness, very modern.

The only little issue is the shower room in the room. Showerhead, need to be replaced. Is loose and the water goes all over the floor outside. That’s about the only thing. The rest of the premises, excellent. Thank you.

Very close to the center of Manizales. Very friendly staff. Big rooms and bathrooms. The beds are very comfy. Breakfast was nice and had a good variation of foods

When you leave the hotel.on Sunday be prepared that the main street is blocked. It took a while to leave the hotel by car.

Large, clean and comfortable rooms with an excellent breakfast! Just 10 minutes walk from the centre of town. A large shopping complex is just 5 minutes away and has a wonderful supermarket, which is very convenient.

Slightly too expensive for what it is...

The Carretero is a semi-standard hotel with all the normal perks, meeting rooms, a gym, a buffet breakfast. We found the staff very pleasant and helpful, the room ok, the buffet breakfast a nice combination of local staples and standard continental/full breakfast. Within walking distance of the old centre of Manizales, on the main road. Parking at the back, useful.

The breakfast was really good. The staff was also helpful as I didn't speak fluent spanish. They had breads, fruits, egss, meats, etc. Enjoyed the coffee. Wonderful views of the city while you are eating and from the room I had. Excellent location to Tram and Mall. The gym exceeded my expectations. There are also meeting rooms and other facilities on site if you are a business person.

The location can be a little noisy at times due to where it is located and the way the hotel is constructed. Traffic and street noise quiets at night. In my opinion, easily walking to the Fundadores Mall and Tram far outweigh any noise so this is a minor issue.

Huge rooms, very clean, friendly staff, great breakfast. A very good value

Some rooms face a busy avenue. We were given one originally, we requested a new room and they agreed to it, so no big deal

everything was perfect; every person who worked at the hotel was very nice. The room always was clean, and it is very spacious and with a beautiful view of the downtown.

Nothing bad to say about it.

The area around the hotel is not the best to go out at night.
