I stayed at the Laureles Guest House for a week. The airport pickup worked perfectly and was only slightly more expensive than a regular taxi fare, so it was OK. The hotel isn't really in the city center. The nearest metro station is about a 30-minute walk away. If that's too much for you, you can always take an Uber or Cabify. There are smaller stores for everyday needs nearby and a large supermarket in the mall (Unicentro). It's only 10 minutes away and they also have a food court. You can eat well and inexpensively there. I didn't enjoy breakfast at the accommodation, so I can't comment on that. I'm an early riser. It's usually served from 7 a.m. The internet was fast and stable throughout my stay. I had a room facing the street, and it was quite noisy from the street noise. If you want quieter accommodations, get one without a city view. Unfortunately, the staff didn't speak English. But that doesn't bother me, and if you need anything, they're there to help with hands, feet, or Google Translate.

The price is decent with breakfast included. There are options for breakfast, which is nice. The room is small, but it has everything you need. The night receptionist, Miriam, is lovely - she checked us in and made us feel very welcome. I'm vegan and for breakfast, they offered me two arepas with fried onion & tomato and fruit. I was glad they were able to offer something (although it would have been great to have some protein like beans)

We stayed 3 nights, and we only had warm water one day. It was a cold shower the other two days. It was humid and rainy during our stay and the room got stuffy pretty quickly.

I only had breakfast once, and what I had was decent. Nothing special, but not bad. If you still feel hungry for more or aren't completely satisfied, the location is very conveniently situated with lots of restaurants nearby, all walking distance. A shopping mall is maybe between a 5-10 minute walk, with a grocery store attached, and for me personally, that's a must. If you're traveling from within Colombia, Olaya Herrera Airport is practically down the street. The staff are very helpful and accommodating, shout out to Luz Maria. Such a sweetheart. They'll store your luggage until you're ready to check in, that is always a plus. I didn't use their facilities, like their fitness center. And all the rooms have safes. Overall, I think this place is definitely worth it.

My bathroom was quite small, but I can't complain much about the building's design, just thought I'd mention it. The bed was also very thin, maybe like 2-3 inches thick. I could feel the mattress foundation when I laid down. And, while I did appreciate being moved to a bigger room, it was on the first floor. At night you can hear whatever conversations people are having in the lobby right outside your door. The doorbell can also get pretty loud when it's dead quiet at night.

Nice and helpfully and super friendly staff, superclean room, american breakfast. Well equipped room, glasses, fridge, tv, towels. Safe and quiet area. And the best thing was the daily sightseeing tour. Traveling to Colombia was my dream come true and Medellin is a very nice city. Cocora Valley and Medellin the best. Motorbike taxi is super cool. I need to learn spanish :-)

We recently stayed at this lovely hotel with our elderly relatives, and I cannot thank the staff enough for the outstanding service and care we received. From the moment we arrived, we felt genuinely welcomed.  Their attentiveness, kindness and patience made all the difference.  This was more than just a hotel stay—it felt like being looked after by family. We’re incredibly grateful for the hospitality, highly recommended.

We stayed at the property for 2 weeks and our experience was tremendous. The staff was very helpful, very friendly and our breakfast was every day nice, clean and hot served. We will definitely stay here again, and we will surely recommend this hotel to our friends and families. Thanks for everything. We really enjoyed our stay at Laureles guest house Hotel.

Nice, safe neighborhood. Big room, with a fridge. Plain but tasty breakfast. Nice staff. Room was a bit noisy (we had a room with a window on the big street and no AC, only a fan, which wasn't quiet itself). WiFi was good, sometimes crashed for few seconds. Funny smell on the stairs. There is an Exito market in a mall nearby, but the walk is down the big street, and could be bit tiring sometimes, due to all the traffics (I think maybe there is a bus to the mall but we didn't use it). About ten minute walk to the metro-bus stop. Overall: good for a price, we had a nice, safe stay.

Be aware only 2 car parks on sight - so likely you will need to pay at a secure lockup garage about 60 m down the block . I got a Street view room as wanted lots of lovely natural light - which it had , but beware constant road / motorbike noise until very late .

I loved everything about Laureles guest house. To begin with the staff is amazing, they are super friendly and always make sure you are having a good stay! This is from the front desk to the cleaners and maintenance guy. From check-in they made us feel welcomed. They also provided us information on things to do in Medellin -which was great. The room we stayed was very clean and comfortable. The facilities are also very clean , great and well kept: gym, terrace, kitchen, co-working space. The breakfast was also delicious. The location is also nice, close to restaurants and shops and very quiet neighbourhood and safe. Easily connected with public transport and only short taxi rides to other neighbourhoods. I definitely recommend staying here.

Nothing, everything was perfect- I would recommend staying here and would love to come back- however this is a very personal opinion but I would suggest adding a few dumbbell’s or kettlebells to the gym - just to make it even more perfect!

Breakfast was excellent with supplements available from the menu. Kitchen people very friendly and efficient. Desk personnel very professional and assisted with all my little problems with friendliness and humor.

WANTED TO RE BOOK AT SAME RATE BUT WOULD HAVE HAD TO PAY A SEASONAL PRICE INCREASE AND SO THEY PRICED THEMSELVES OUT OF ANOTHER VISIT. ASKED THE DESK TO PRICE MATCH CURRENT PRICE AND WAS NOT POSSIBLE EVIDENTLY. TOO BAD BECAUSE I REALLY LIKE THE HOTEL. FORCED TO FIND OTHER ACCOMMODATIONS.
