Mr Hammer was excellent. He checked us in and it has been a while since we’ve received such excellent customer service. He definitely gave us a warm welcome. The room had a great view. Over exceded our expectations.

Breakfast. Unfortunately our experience at breakfast was not the best. The waiter who took care of us was very rude. We noticed there were flies on the food inside the buffet area. Birds on the tables outside. Very unsanitary. The hotel uses a card towel system. Very inconvenient.

I was so impressed with this resort. The pools were first class, the location was ideal (right beside a gorgeous beach), and there was so much variety with the bars and restaurants that you really didn't need to leave the resort. It was ideal for a relaxing trip. What especially impressed me was the entertainment: often there would be live music playing in bars and restaurants around the resort or dancers performing. There was a chilled atmosphere and everything ran incredibly efficiently thanks to the first class staff team.

I couldn't complain about a single thing. I would recommend opting for all-inclusive and taking advantage of the delicious cocktails and great variety of restaurants. Make sure you visit all of them for the full experience!

Beautiful place to relax

The security guards on the beach are far too over the top and controlling. I was chastised for having a cooked fish at the beach that i brought from the resorts beach restaurant. stating it will destroy the ecosystem and i needed to eat it in a controlled location and they allow outside vendors to sell anything they can and allow people to bring in meats, cheeses and processed foods as they like. get consistent and if there are rules make them known to people so they can avoid breaking them not tell them after they have ordered them in good faith to be able to enjoy them under the shade of their umbrella

The whole grounds of the hotel are very green and lush which makes it a very special hotel in the area. The services on the beach are very good (seats, kiosks, table service and security). The breakfast was delicious with a large selection. Beautiful sunsets. Helpful staff. It has a mini market with anything you may have missed.

This is not a hotel issue, but for anyone who is sensitive to mosquito bites, make sure to bring precautions. We traveled in mid June so not all restaurant/bar options were available. There are other options in the area and further out in Rodadero/Santa Marta.

The staff were super friendly and helpful, the beach was clean, as was the pool, the lifeguards seemed very dependable and the rooms were very nice.

The food wasn't up to standard or value for the price. I've stayed there before and the food was much better. THe menus were too much alike in the different restaurants and just not very good quality.

We liked almost everything about this hotel. For Colombia this is definitely a 5 star luxurious resort. There’s a supermarket in the walking distance, the hotel area is well taken care of, the lush green is amazing, the beach is very nice and clean. The personnel is very friendly,

Minor things and of course depends on what the baseline is. The breakfast wasn’t super-varied, although tasty. The European breakfast options were not too many. The tiny water bottles we got on the first day were never replaced, so we had to buy water every day ourselves. Not speaking Spanish is a bit of a problem as only few people will be speaking English.

We don't tend to stay in this resort type of accommodation, and ended up here because my partner was feeling unwell after our trip to Tayrona National Park. We were due to catch a 5 hour bus to Cartagena but he wasn't well enough so we lay low until he recovered. It was a perfect place for this, comfortable room and bed, lovely social spaces, we didn't need to leave to get anything we needed, food etc. No one of the staff speaks English but they were so helpful. It turned out my partner had food poisoning and they provided rehydration solutions which helped him a lot, and one evening the doctor came out and prescribed antibiotics, flora for his gut and painkillers. All of these things really helped him to recover.

The food at the restaurants is absolutely awful. We love trying new food when we are travelling and we had some incredible food in Colombia but not at this hotel. Typical resort food.

The hotel is a typical resort on the beach. It is a huge complex with four different towers, many restaurants, bars and swimming pools. It has private parking and direct access to the beach. Rooms are modern, nice and provide for all needed comfort.

Competence and service of some waiters could improve and the sea is nothing special, but about this of course the hotel can do nothing to improve it.

People at the hotel were really friendly and helpful. The rooms in the Irotama lagos were really confortable and had a balcony with a great view. The location of the hotel with the magnificent beach and the shaded areas to sit by the beach. Quite a lot of security personnel.

The check in takes a long time. The food lets the resort down, it is average at best and quite expensive for what it is. Some of the housekeeping was hit and miss ( ie, not stocking the shampoo or the coffee, towels not replaced)

Beautiful and not crowded pool areas. Spa was also nice and with relaxing massage at a reasonable price. Room was clean, modern and spacious, with great views from a top floor of property and beach. Beach area is secure.

Not sure why there was over concern about pool towels (not able to get these the day of late checkout) and charging hotel restaurant meals to the room.
