This was the best hostel i stayed in Costarica. It has a proper surf Caribbean vibe. The bar, the restaurant is amazing anyone can come and eat or drink. Not like some other hostel you not even allowed to be in courtyard to wait for someone. The hostel is 2 minutes from the beach. Unfortunately quite far from the actual town but it didn't matter to me at all. The food was amazing and the cocktails were delicious. Friendly staff. As these are tree house the toilet and showers are outside so have a torch to go down the stairs. Beds have mosquito Nets and if not you can ask for one. I recommend this hostel 10/10
Everything was perfect

Close to the sea, 5 min walk I was staying at lovely tree house with balcony and kitchen. It was nice breakfast, good food. Friendly, young stuff. I like the music. They ofer free bikes, but none of them works 😉 go to the surf guy in th street, who rents surf and bikes for 10$/day. Some dining options are in area.
Store, shops are far away. Also bus, Uvita center if you are without a car. Uvita beach is close, but you have to pay each day 7$/day its in national park

This was one of our favourite stays. If you love the hostel vibe, this place is it. The property is beautifully maintained with lush greenery, the bar attracts a mix of locals and tourists, and we really enjoyed the food and drinks. We ended up cancelling another reservation and returning here for a second night. The vibe was amazing on a Saturday night, with great music and people. We loved lounging in the hammocks and playing ping pong. The staff is great, just make sure if you’re reserving a taxi ahead of time, that you ask for a registered taxi, otherwise they may be inclined to give the business to a friend who may not be very punctual, which isn’t ideal if you have a bus to catch.

Staff is super friendly, and they value us as guests, and it shows. They are always there to assist! Our key broke late in the night and they helped us in quick and professional manner, the owner made sure we get our full deposit back. Place is really close to the beach and there are supermarkets and restaurants nearby, but the food here is awesome with great chefs. There is always something going on at the bar and everyone is happy to hang out. Cocktails are really good with reasonable price. I would gladly visit again!
There is nothing particular that I didn't like here. Some stuff is a bit older and at some point needs to be changed but they proved that they are aware of that and always ready for issues.

The people at Flutterby House are amazing, very friendly and helpful! Food is fantastic. Just a few minutes walk to the beach, with places nearby to rent surfboards. Very clean, with a nice kitchen to use. Chill hang out area with fans throughout. Quiet at night. Note: Beach is a national park and is delightful. Entry is $7 each per day, sometimes payable in cash, often by card only early in the day. Buses: We walked about 1.5 miles from bus stop on highway to get to hostel. Left from bus stop .6 mile from hostel to catch bus to Quepos. Be at the stop 30 minutes early, buses may depart ahead of schedule!
Constant repetition of music. It will be a long time before we can listen to Bob Marley again.

Nice room with a great balcony with a table & chairs and a hammock. The fans in the room were great. Free coffee and (sometimes) juice was lovely in the morning. The accommodation is nice and close to the beach.
Everything in general is very expensive. There's local pricing and "gringo" pricing even at the bar and local shops and stalls, many backpackers we spoke to said the only way they can afford to experience Costa rica is by volunteering.

The location was superb, very close to the beach and easily walkable. We also head breakfast included, which was great. It also has a restaurant with good options for lunch and dinner, bar is alive every evening but it is not too loud in case you want to got to sleep early.
The mosquito net had some holes, so we got bitten quite a bit. Also, there was some slightly unpleasant smell in the room.

Food was okay but was also walking distance to good food places. Really nice to have a tree house to myself with a patio and hammock. I appreciated the privacy. The exposed room gave way to jungle sounds which gave me the best sleep. Walking distance to the beech was dreamy.
The dead leaves were cluttering the property and made it feel disorderly.

The staff at this hostel were fantastic, they went above and beyond to make us feel welcome. They helped us book tours, get transportation and generally made sure we had a great time. The cabins are lovely and private and the bar/restaurant is a good perk. You can also cook in the communal kitchen.
The only tiny suggestion for improving the hostel is that the communal kitchen could use some more equipment. It just needed a few more pans, mugs and plates, but the staff kindly let us borrow pans from the restaurant kitchen and even let us borrow an oven to cook some chips!

Flutterby House is an amazing location where you can see and hear many animals. I loved waking up to the sounds of nature. It also has nice community spaces, including a huge kitchen to cook your own meals and a platform to practice yoga/relax in a hammock.
I’d prefer a quiet common space without music playing, but I know many other people prefer music so that’s just a small personal preference. The music they had was chill and easy to listen to.
