Very easy to book trips there, the staff was really friendly and gave us many information. Very nicely decorated and cute place, hammocks in the common area which create a very nice atmosphere and a good place to hang out, no matter if you have a shared or private room. The kitchen is also good. The breakfast was very tasty - a traditional gallo pinto that we liked a lot.

We booked with the breakfast included but one of our day trips started earlier than the breakfast. Usually, I've seen hotels and hostels prepare a breakfast package in this case (especially since we booked through the hotel) but this was not possible here which we thought was unfortunate.

Located in Uvita city, very close to the main street and close to restaurants, banks, supermarkets and bakeries. Managed by a friendly young Canadian couple from Quebec. The hotel serves a wide range of guests from those who want a private room with bathroom, to young backpackers on a budget. It has many rules to achieve harmony among the variety of guests it hosts, for example: silence in the common areas after 10:00 p.m., which contributes to a good rest.

The pool is surrounded by extensive vegetation, which causes many leaves and flowers to fall on it and despite being cleaned several times a day it always has leaves and flowers.

We loved everything about this hotel! It was beautiful and cozy, and had lovely facilities including a nice big common area with lots of beautiful plants, hammocks and sofas to relax in, and a pool area as well. The rooms were nice and clean, everything was in good condition and the staff and owner were the nicest, most helpful people you could imagine. A wonderful place to stay! We would definitely recommend this place to anyone visiting Uvita.

Pierre, the owner, is one-of-a-kind. No matter how busy he is, he takes the time to help guests with whatever they need - from restaurant recommendations to just listening when you need someone to talk to. I loved everything about the hotel! The town is a bit boring (it "rolls up the sidewalks" around 8 pm), but the beaches are first-class.

Love the pool. The location is great for restaurants. The lounge area is chill and there is a kitchen if you are so inclined.The owner is a super friendly guy so be sure to have a chat if he's around. Drinks available on site for a reasonable price especially during happy hours. Like that they enforce quiet time after 10 pm. This was our third time there

Not much. Room is a little small and bed harder than my personal preference but the pool and location definitely make up for it.

Great location, perfect place to relax between activities. The pool table and bar provide a great opportunity to engage with others in the evening. The hotel recommended and organised our activities and transport in advance and offered us a late check out so that we could shower after our activities before heading off to the next location. Of all the places we have stayed during our trip, our stay here was the most organised and most relaxing.

Loved the chill out area and pool! Loved the bed, air con and bathroom was nice and big. Really great stay ! It was luxury to the last place we stayed. Was allowed to hangout after checkout at the pool.

The only thing that was an issue that there was no water. I had a very hot trickle of a shower. But that was only because there was no water in the town that day, so it was out of their control.

We absolutely loved our stay at Tucan hotel. Pierre the owner is great and his staff also very friendly and they provide good tips and support to make the best of your stay. It’s a cool mix between hotel service and hostel flair, everything was clean and a very good bakery is next door. We can totally recommend staying here when in Uvita.

Outdoor & indoor shower (hot and cold water!!), multiple bathrooms, full equipped kitchen. Beds were very private although it was in a dorm. AC was very cold in rooms which made sleeping great. Staff is very friendly and helpful & free breakfast :) lots of cats and a couple dogs hanging around. Bar, pool, pool table, and amazing community space onsite. Favorite hostel I’ve been to. Would definitely stay again.

Kinda far from the beach (45 mins)

Place is definitely kitchy, but in a good way. It looks as though it was developed for hostel use, but private rooms offered a double bed and private bathroom with shower. Everything was clean. Artwork is everywhere and very well done in a Grandma Moses manner--very folksy.

If you're not expecting Trump Towers, this is the place for you. We were the only senior citizens anywhere around, but were well accepted.
