The gardens were lovely and the pools very nice.the restaurant was good and the breakfast was also good. The rooms are nicely laid out in the grounds. Air-conditioning and fans keep the room cool. Pool towels were fresh and useful. Live music on Fridays is a nice idea and adds atmosphere. The pool lit up at night looks beautiful. We saw iguanas and birds in the grounds. The pool table and bar area was also nice.

The room was a little dated. Not enough hangers. We also had two nights of some noise as the rooms are not sound proofed, so unless people are really quiet you can hear them. I asked about a trip that they are advertising on the Internet for $65, but they wouldn't give it me at that price as we had already booked our room. It felt a bit ironic that someone staying 4 nights in the hotel got a worse deal than someone who might just book one night. I get they are trying to get people to book their rooms, but sometimes you have to also look after guests who are staying a number of nights and didn't get the option when booking. 😏 in the end we booked something independently of the hotel. No kettle in the room. Laundry was expensive.

We really liked the gardens of the hotel. The pool was nice, large, with enough sun chairs. Water in the pool was a bit murky, I am not sure whether it was due to sediments in the water source or lack of treatment. Room was quite small for 3 people but there was a nice spacious shaded area attached to the room with a ceiling fan, table and chairs. Hotel provided ala card breakfast and some days it took long time to get your portion. But they were flexible and did not stick to the exact breakfast menu. Variations were possible.

The beach in Dominical is more for surfers, not for swimmers. It is full of stones, dirty and with high waves and strong current.

Great hotel, stayed here for one night to recharge while traveling around with a rooftop tent. I read some negative reviews regarding the restaurant, but personally I can only compliment the food as well as all staff. The prices in the restaurant are below most of the restaurants in Costa Rica outside of hotels, which seems unusual. Kids loved the pool. We were happy to get a suite all the way in the back, which felt like being in the middle of the jungle.

If anything, the lack of warm water. This is very common for Costa Rica though. My husband mentioned he did have warm (maybe even hot) water later on, so that may vary. Everything else was superb.

Beautiful property and excellent pool. The restaurant served delicious meals (the BBQ churasco night special was highlight), including breakfast, with a very nice ambiance. The restaurant staff were very friendly and helpful and we particularly enjoyed bantering with Vilma. There was an issue with our reservation when we checked in initially but Peter and staff were super attentive and went out of their way to quickly make it all right. Very much appreciated the personalized, friendly service. Loved the location....walkable to the village and beach of Dominical. A particular highlight one evening was attending the local Christmas parade. The effort and enthusiasm by this small village was amazing and the results were impressive!

We don't have much to criticize. The wifi at our room near the far end of the property was sometimes a little flakey but quite steady in the reception/restaurant/pool area. Our room could have benefited from larger bedside end tables and perhaps a flat surface to put our suitcases and/or other things. More hooks are always welcome.

Beautiful grounds with wonderful pool and dining facility. Room was small and crowded with an extra twin bed awkwardly placed in room in addition to the queen bed. But large private porch with comfortable chairs and table. Easy drive to town. Breakfast was great with friendly servers. Unfortunately, there was a large group of teens there during our stay who were very loud, running around between the villas and screaming in the pool until 10 at night both nights. Definitely disrupted the serenity of the resort. Staff appeared not to do anything to control the situation.

I love this place. 😍 The restaurant/bar is fab. The gardens are magnificent. My room was perfectly nice, and the bathroom was large. There's also a little terrace for chilling outside, in privacy. The pool area is wonderful, and a second pool for exercise is very useful. It's also in a great location - next to the river, and a short, flat drive to Dominical. Absolutely loved it, and will definitely stay longer next time. 🤩

I would have preferred my room with only the king-size bed. There was no need for a single too, and it took up valuable space.

Everything was just amazing. We truly enjoyed the beautiful garden and really nice pool with swim up bar. The room was clean, spacious and comfortable. Really nice patio area to relax. The staff was very friendly and helpful. We also loved the quiet and relaxing vibe during our entire stay. Highly recommended.

If we have to pick one, we didn’t have hot water to shower. The staff was apologetic and was trying to fix it so it should be fine by now. Not too much of an issue as it’s quite warm.

The culture of sustainability executed when it comes to the quality of the services is outstanding ,breakfast choices and presentation , pool maintenance, room cleaning service ,mini golf maintenance and facilities in general in combination with the nature create a unique experience of balance and beauty in contact with great standards AND PET FRIENDLY.

Some of the members at the front desk have this assumption of mistrust that makes feel like we as guest are trying to take advantage or receive services whit out paying probably created by past experiences or the language interpretation.. Tennis court and equipment is beginning to show signs of wear and tear.

The gardens are beautiful, we felt surrounded by nature. We saw lots of birds, iguanas, squirrels, frogs... The rooms are well placed in the property, with a nice balcony (with a fridge ) to sit and feel the nature around you. There are two pools, one quieter than the other so you can always choose. Breakfast is nice but it's not buffet type. Cleaning was also good

The guy in the reception didn't show us the room when we checked in and we weren't offered help with the luggage. It was dark and we were a bit lost looking for the room whilst carrying the luggage. Anyways, it's just a detail. Room decoration is a bit outdated too

We asked the chef at dinner to prepare pescado entero, using a red snapper we had brought. We are on our way back to Canada after 4 months and had a beautiful fish we didn't want to miss eating. The chef was so friendly and willing to accommodate us. The pescado entero was perfect, and the meal with his additions of salad, vegetables, potatoes, and a small appetizer was excellent! Combined with the beautiful gardens, ylang ylang fragranced air and excellent service from staff, we felt like we were treated royally!!
