Villa Amalie was everything we hoped for and more. The owners work hard to make sure your stay is comfortable. The accommodations were spotless and thoughtfully designed. Our favorite part was the included breakfast and coffee machine. This was such a convenience when preparing for our day. One of best parts about the hotel is the location and free, secure parking. It was very quiet at night. You can easily walk to all the restaurants and sights in Punda and Otrabanda but what we most appreciated was the easy access to the main roads which lead to the beaches. If you plan on visiting beaches by day and Willemstad at night, this is the best place you can stay. You won’t have to maneuver the busy streets of Willemstad. Oh, and the shower and A/C are fantastic!,

That we left after 7 night to stay at an Airbnb in Jan Thiel. We should have stayed longer here.

I loved this place! Petra picked me up at the airport. She welcomed me and gave me a tour as we traveled to the hotel! The hotel was beautiful and charming! The room was comfortable! Especially the bed! The bathroom was very contemporary with full sized shampoos and lots of hot water! The room had great AC and a ceiling fan! The breakfasts were excellent and slightly different each day. The common areas of the hotel were wonderful too! With coffee and tea always available for free on the patio! The music playing there was always just right too! Like a little coffee shop within the hotel! The hotel was just outside of the center, but close enough that I walked everywhere I wanted to go! Petra and her staff made me feel more like a visiting dignitary than a tourist! It was a Perfect Stay!

Royer and Paul were warm, wonderful hosts. They were kind, attentive, and happy to provide assistance from transportation to activity recommendations. They really make you feel at home! The property is quaint and colorful; I loved the shared outdoor spaces and common areas, and I enjoyed being walking distance to restaurants, shopping, and music. The room was a great size and had a super comfortable bed. Had a lovely stay overall!

I wish there was a little more variety in breakfast and that it was available a little longer than an hour. The pool at the nearby beach club was fabulous, but I felt like the listing was a little misleading to make it seem like this was part of the actual property. But overall, no major complaints. :)

I recently spent a week at Villa Amalie and I can say without hesitation that the experience was nothing short of fantastic. From start to finish, the moment Roger (one of the owners) came to pick me up from the airport, everything was exceptional. Roger, went above and beyond to ensure that my stay was perfect. His attention to detail and willingness to assist at any time made me feel truly valued as a guest. I have never experienced this level of service in any hotel before. He was always there, ready to help with anything I needed, which made my stay all the more enjoyable. The comfort, atmosphere, and service were outstanding, and I thoroughly enjoyed every moment of my time there. It was an experience I will cherish, and I will undoubtedly return in the future. Our hosts, Paul and Roger, were exceptionally friendly, helpful and accommodating. They provided transport to and from the airport which was greatly appreciated. Breakfast, simple and nutritious, is included in the price of the stay. Our hosts had lots of terrific recommendations on places to dine and things to see and do on the island. The hotel itself is very well located near the city centre just minutes from numerous bars and restaurants. The rooms were clean and well maintained throughout our stay. Our hosts also assisted us in renting a vehicle for a few days. The rental company that was recommended brought the vehicle to Villa Amalie and picked it up when we were finished with it. It was very good service. We couldn't recommend Villa Amalie more highly for your stay in Curacao. You won't be disappointed. Here are a few restaurant recommendations: Kome, Etsy's, Oliva, Maira's Kitchen. All were first rate.

Very good location in an upcoming part of Willemstad, within walking distance to all the main sights in the town, and close to both bus terminals. The room was very comfortable, with all the amenities that we might have needed (though the private bathroom was separate and not ensuite). Access to shared kitchen and a coffee/tea making machine available 24/7 was a nice bonus. Excellent breakfast on the terrace. Very helpful owners who arranged everything we needed (airport transfers, a boat trip to Klein Curacao etc). Most of all, welcoming atmosphere and genuine local spirit. Not everything was perfect, but we felt a part of the place and it was natural to blend in the local environment.

There were some minor inconveniences, but the advantages outweighed them by a large margin. :)

Our host Roger was always present, helpful, and very attentive. He communicated very well and often with us prior to arrival and it was easy to communicate with him once there too. Most important was his service to drop us to and from places as taxis are difficult to get in Curacao. It made trips including to and from the airport very seamless. His staff who assisted with breakfast were also very friendly and attentive. When you sit for breakfast you get it usually within 1-3 minutes. I would definitely stay here again for its proximity to the city and things to do.

The hotel is excellent, with a prime location in the heart of Willemstad. The staff is incredibly friendly and always ready to assist with anything you need. The room was spotless, and the bed was very comfortable. The air conditioning worked perfectly, and the breakfast was quite good. The owner is a wonderful person with extensive knowledge of the island's best beaches and attractions.

I loved everything; it was fantastic. There wasn't a single thing I didn't like.

The service provided by the owners was awesome, they were always available to help at any time, especially with transportation to different places if you let them know in advance. Breakfast was awesome and the room was very comfortable.

Near the hotel there are some abandoned houses that can attract weird looking people but it was safe overall and it was a quick walk away from the center of the town.

It's a really nice place to stay. The staff are very kind and pleasant, always ready to help. Accommodations are good and met our needs very well. Water and coffee available 24/7.

For those who like to go to the beach early, breakfast time can be a bit of a hindrance. But this is just our point of view, it is not something that compromises the hosting experience. You might just need to organize a little more for that.
