We booked the Kissos hotel at very, very short notice – we had been forced to abandon our planned 7-night stay in our current hotel after the first night because there was no safety deposit box in our room and more importantly there was NO hot water in the morning. The Kissos was one of two hotels with a single available room in Paphos at a reasonable price – we chose to view the Kissos hotel first – how lucky we were!! Emilia (duty receptionist) was brilliant and solved all our lack of accommodation problems for us in a matter of a few minutes – a few taps on my tablet on the booking.com website (I am a Genius booker) and then my credit card was passed over the counter to ensure we had somewhere to stay for our remaining 6 days in Paphos. To our surprise, the Kissos turned out to be a very good hotel. Its location was good (300 metres walk from the Tomb of the Kings), lots of differing restaurants within 250 metres, comfortable room with balcony (and sea view), swimming pool, large safety deposit box, fridge, car parking – good value for money! The reception team (Tina, Emilia & Katerina) were all fantastic. The breakfast was good – we were well fed and both put weight on. There was a poolside bar, lots of sun umbrellas, a decent pool, and night-time entertainments (if you so wished). If staying in Paphos again, we would happily use the Kissos hotel.

The only problem we experience during our 6-night stay was a very weak wi-fi signal in Room 202 – just inside the room door and in the en-suite bathroom we had 5-bar signal strength (perfect), but as soon as we approached the bed or the seating area the signal dropped to 1-bar and then died completely. The hotel made every attempt to improve the signal strength, but to no avail. However, we (as guests) came up with a brilliant solution – we used the wi-fi whilst sitting on the toilet – perfect until both of us wanted to use the wi-fi simultaneously, or one of us wanted to us the toilet for its primary purpose!

Excellent hotel staff is nice and river swimming pool is fantastic

The only thing that I complain is we needed a kettle in the room and they charged me €5 everyday

Everything was amazing. Great place to stay. Tasty breakfast. Close to the sea.

Rooms were spacious and the Balcony a fair size (for two persons). Nice touch was the 'Herringbone' Balcony effect offering privacy. Breakfast was fair, although a nicer touch would be the Fried Eggs cooked to order rather than left on the hotplate going dry. A reasonable selection at breakfast for the money paid. Pool area spacious with plenty of sun-loungers. Pool cleaned daily and was welcoming, especially during hotter periods. Lifeguard on duty. Pool Bar close by with a selection of drinks and snacks (provided by the kitchen)

On the who;le a very pleasant stay.

Balcony and central location (walking distance to mall, Lidl, Tomb of Kings and bus stop) The room was nicely prepared. Staff was friendly UK adapter was available for a deposit (and could be returned easily, other hotels charge for the adapter) Pool was well kept and as shown on the pictures Value for money

Breakfast had not many vegan options 5 Euro rental charge to use the fridge (which was locked) A bit outdated interior but at the end all was there what we needed.

Localization is great. Close to the beach, near a one of the most customer oriented roads. Hotel has a lot of additional features, but I did not need to use them, so I am unable to rate them. Staff is very helpful and communicative. Room had classical vibe, was clean and spacious. AC worked well. Breakfast was good. I am satisfied with the price to the quality. I absolutely recommend it for a budget holiday.

WiFi was shaky sometimes. It was not that much of a bother, you would spend most of your time outside the hotel anyway.

We were very satisfied with the hotel. Our room was very comfortable and clean and the hotel stuff is really nice and friendly. Even though the breakfast is every day the same, it is very good and there are many things to choose from. Also the location is good, close to the city center which is around 20 minutes walking. It is also a good location for exploring other things in the city (for example archeologial park Tombs of the kings is like 5 minuts walking from the hotel).

Breakfast was good but every day the same and not so much options for vegetarians and vegans or people with different diets. Also the wather in the swimming pool was to warm. :D

Very nice place and very comfortable. Could store luggage and staff gave me an upgrade on room. Can walk to harbor area, Ancient Paphos and Tombs on a nice new beach walkway. Restaurants are closer just around corner on strip. Had good meals at the local style restaurants. And pool areas are great places to hang out. Was noisy one night till midnight but not a problem.

In addition to passport, management still requires you to write personal info out on a slip of paper. To be stored where? To be kept secure how? Identity theft.concern.

The pools were amazing, many balls and toys provided by the hotel. The poolside bar was very nice, the staff was very friendly and we enjoyed the happy hour every night. The room was fairly big and the view from the balcony was very pretty. The local cats are also very sweet. Every night there was some form of entertainment like live music, quiz night and bingo night which we loved! The reception is always open and ready to help, they are friendly and provided us with information.

The breakfast wasn’t the tastiest.

We were in the 3rd floor and the balcony in our room was beautiful and cute. Not the biggest one, but with view to the pool and the ocean. The bathroom was spacious and modern. The room design was a bit out of date - even with an 80s-style in-built radio in the bed - but functional and very clean. The pool was quite a large one even though we didnt use it (stayed only 1 night). George at the reception was very friendly and helpful.

I dont think it is wise for a hotel in a tourist hotspot to have such limited pool opening hours from 9am to 6pm. Especially in Cyprus the sun becomes finally bearable in the late afternoon and then the pool is about to close. With its moody blue night lights it would be great to enjoy a swim in the evening. Another suggestion would be not having to ask extra for the fridge key in the own room.
