We recently had a 19 day trip around Egypt and I can definitely say that the Iberotel Costa Mares was the best hotel/resort that we stayed at in Egypt and on par with other 5 star resorts we’ve stayed at around the world. We had two deluxe family ground floor rooms with views on the gorgeous 45m long pool for our family of five. The rooms were very spatial, comfortable, clean and had all the modern conveniences you’d want. We spent our days moving from the pool to the beach and back again. The resort’s position on the bay is perfect for swimming with the sea turtles and the sea cows (dugong). There are other reviews that criticise the tour boats being the in the bay but this didn’t bother us - they are far enough from the shore and the bay is certainly big enough for everyone to enjoy. The dive centre, less than 10 minutes walk down the beach at the sister resort, is an added bonus. We had a great excursion to the Dolphin House where one in our group was able to dive while the rest of us did snorkelling. We chose Costa Mares for the location and the great reviews on the food and service. Khalif and his food and beverage team certainly didn’t disappoint. We enjoyed our meals at the Coral Restaurant (buffet) where there is a vast selection of Egyptian and International foods and always freshly grilled or barbecue meat and fish in the evening. The food was fresh, tasty and good quality. Special mentions to Mohamed Allam and both Ahmeds at the Coral Restaurant, Ahmed Mahout at the pool bar and lifeguard Amr who looked after us so well, greeted us with smiles and genuine kindness and worked so hard to ensure that we always received 5 star service. Thank you to the lovely staff for making our stay at Costa Mares such a wonderful holiday.

Absolutely nothing.

Very good hotel, lot's of activites to do. The food was very good and the equipment was good. The waiters and the other attending personnel was helpful. The activities offered were diverse.

The price of the taxi ride from the hotel to the airport is ridiculous (35€ for a 10 min ride), the activities recommended by the desk at the hotel are super expensive, the massage at 70€/massage is also ridiculous. It feels like they take advantage of us on every additional element as the hotel is isolated. New modified : After a discussion with the hotel, they have agreed to review their price with their contractor to reduce the price of the taxi. It is interesting to note that they reacted well to this notification and that it will serve future customers.

Our stay at Iberotel Costa Mares was absolutely exceptional – from the very first moment, we felt not like guests, but like part of a big, warm family. The hotel is so well-organized and compact. All the amenities are incredibly accessible, and it was great to be able to walk to everything—from the restaurant and bar to the beach and pool—in just a minute.

There are two areas for improvement: the shower drain in the room was slow despite a cleaned filter, likely due to a deeper issue with sand in the pipes. Also, adding a shower near the foot washes on the beach would be convenient for guests to rinse off salt without having to go all the way to the pool.

Reception staff - before arrival, the communication was bad. I sent a question. The reply was five words, which did not even reply to my question without any politness formulas (no good morning, no thank you for booking with us, no best regards...). On site, persons at the reception were unpleasant and not helpfull. They did not treat us respectfully. At departure, no one to take our luggages to the taxi. At 250 EUR the night, it is the less expected.

I really liked everything, you guys dealing with all details with passion and caring which enabling you to provide the best Quality of service, I am booking super user and used to travel each 2 months, but really I admire the place from all aspects (hospitality, staff engagement, caring, Quality of food and services, etc) I am a Quality professional, and this is how we name it (the passion to create the best consumer experience), which I really felt it here Thank you again and I trust that it will never be the last time, please save this place amazing for me till I come back again.

Nothing but maybe points that can make it more and more fabulous is to have 1 designated bottle for each guest having the hotel logo followed by water dispenser everywhere which will enable more water access to the guests while making sure that water saving is happening to ensure good sustainability roadmap :)

We really enjoyed our stay at Iberotel. It's a great place, we were able to see sea turtles and dugongs. The hotel itself is new, modern, comfortable, with great food and friendly staff. Every morning at breakfast we were greeted by Dina with a big smile and we immediately felt like we were at home. We could turn to her or to any member of the staff with any question, for any help. Our child was delighted with her, the staff and Chef's Heyden's incredible team who treated us from morning to evening. The food was very varied, for every taste, and changing each day. The entertainment program was great and varied. We loved the animation team of Mr Simba, and all artists who performed for us. All the staff were very friendly and made our holiday unforgettable. We initially planned to stay for 4 nights, but we liked it so much that we came back for another 3 nights. We will definitely come here again.

Its a dream paradise vacation loved every single thing, the place is embraced by nature with teams working on the clock to maintain a certain level and quality for each and everything! Wanna give a special thanks to Mohamed who gave a us a lovely warm welcome, check inn and an upgrade! Never the less Mahmoud who did an absolute remarkable job for house keeping made everything you wish for come true! never the less yousif, mohamed yousri, Donia, sherif, both Abdulla’s, Abdul Azeem and ahmed who were like the flying carpets for what ever you order serving it with love and absolute pleasure! Lovely vibes were created by the talented animation team Natalaia,Ahmed and micky..keep the good work up! It was so sad leaving guys, see ya next time!

The setting is very beautiful. The bay is nice to snorkel, pool was decent sized. The meals in the main buffet was good, though if focused more on the land meat. Service/Food at beach bar or a la carte restaurant was satisfying.

First impression was not the best. You wouldn't expect to be guided to the room with other guest as a group in this kind of hotel, was a bit disorganized. One of our room was upgraded but not mentioned, I think more attentive communication would help guest feeling welcomed. The room with bay view was rather compact but was well equipped, just non of us slept well. Not only the noise from outside we could here, but also the fridge or something in the room made really loud noise all the time.
