The room was stylish & the property was well priced at a good location. Buffet breakfast was delicious and plentiful! Lots of options. It was a beautiful morning so I ate on the patio facing the pool and artwork (you can see in listing photos). Nice way to start the day!

Other guests should be aware to bring their room number envelope (received at check in with room key) to breakfast for the chef to verify they are staying at the hotel. I didn't know so I had to go back up to get it. Also, unique design for the room, with the glass shower in the middle of the room without privacy. Not suitable for a travelling duo who are just friends, but there may be other room designs that avoid this. Finally, if you don't pay for parking at the hotel, you may have a tough time finding street parking in the area. It took us ~25 min of driving around to find a spot (on a Wednesday night, no less).

Comfortable and spacious room. Very friendly and helpful staff. Lovely breakfast included with lots of choice. The food at Pappagallo restaurant is also tasty but the space is quite noisy at times and not super cosy. Location is handy between Essen and Düsseldorf just outside a small town that also has some restaurant options and an alt brewery. Enjoyed the sauna too but the steamroom was turned off. Good soap provided.

Unfortunately, due to a technical issue, the fire alarm went off for a while on the morning we had to check out. The architectural design of the room is also a bit strange resulting in an open bathroom concept. No big deal if you are alone or sharing with a partner, but perhaps less ideal if you're sharing with someone you don't know intimately. No kettle in the room but you can ask one from reception. Both the lobby area and restaurant are quite noisy if you're someone who gets overstimulated easily. The pillows are not super comfy and a bit bumpy. The TV was difficult to navigate and impossible to add a USB stick to watch something I could understand.

Clean and comfortable rooms, great buffet breakfast, great staff, hotel area's very clean, Burger King and McDonald in 5 -7 min walk from the hotel, turn left when you leave the hotel and turn left top of road, There is a little supermarket which is 10 min walk from the hotel, turn right when you come out of hotel and turn right at end of road, this is the way to Tram as well, use google Maps for your first visit so you get your bearing, you will go over a public footbridge so you know you are on right track, also big supermarket on the way to Tram.

location of hotel is 10-15 minute drive from Airport, approx price 20 - 25 Euro's and approx 30 Euro's to city centre, however you can get bus to city centre which is 5 min walk from hotel, we did not use the bus service. We walked to tram station which is 20 min walk and tram is 30 min journey direct to centre, tram station you need to walk to Mitte Ratingen and take U72 which is one tram so no need to change. Download RHEINBAHN App which covers, Bus, Trams, Trains etc, great App.

Decent rooms, everything worked, including aircondition. Quiet rooms with good beds, slept well. Breakfast was pretty good. Great value all in all.

Parking was almost impossible due to construction work and hotel parking lot being full (was denied entry). Not possible to pre-book according to staff. Room layout is weird with shower in the middle of the room, could be redesigned for better usability. Located in the middle of a business district, so don't expect restaurants or shopping close by.

Modern, easy Check in, rate was good, option for free parking in public Street. 7 min away from Airport. External Airport parking Company right across who will take care of your car while on vacation when flying from DUS. See on google.

AC / heating seem to be centralized controlled and not individually from within the room. Still a great room and location

I stayed here as my flight has been cancelled and the initial hotel the airline sent me to was full! So, I made my own arrangements and I am so glad I found this hotel. It was like a little haven. The room was spacious, and nicely decorated. The bed was comfortable. The breakfast was delicious! And there is also a koi pond outside which I found very relaxing. The hotel is also situated a 20min walk from the S. Oliver outlet which was great as I needed to buy clothes appropriate for Germany weather. The parks in the area are also beautiful and Ratingen turned out to be a very pretty town. Dusseldorf by public transport is approx. 1 hour away (much, much closer by car).

It's not exactly that I didn't like it, more that I found it unique. The shower is sort of in the middle of the room. In the unlikely event the room's door is open and you are in the shower, people in the corridor will be ale to see you. (I have attached a photo)

-the room was spacious -the breakfast was really good and variable -the hotel is situated near the highway - paparking spots along the street

-the room needed more lights, in the evening it was really dark in the room, maybe a few standing lamps will help - the pillows were bad quality -for a junior suite (for 2 adults and 2 children) it is necessary to have a bathroom door!

The location was good, close enough to the airport

Was supposed to use the shuttle service to the airport for €20 booked by the hotel, but they never came. 30 min later a taxi was called and I had to pay €25. I believe that this should have been paid fully or at least partially paid by the hotel! If I wanted to use a taxi, I would've chosen a hotel closer to the airport.

Excellent value for money. I can't believe what you get for this incredibly cheap price. The interior does not look like the photos, it must have been remodeled and it looks way better now. Gave me a true four star feeling. Also the location is perfect if you need to go to the airport.

It was not a problem for us, but be aware that the shower is not behind a wall or anything, you can see everything from the room. Only book this hotel is you really like your companion ;-)

Hotel was ideal and in a quiet area of the city. Easy walk (25min) for us into Ratingen town. Plenty of bars, shops and restaurants. Room was comfy and pleasant. Booked half board and the meal was a choice of one item from the menu. Steak was delicious. I would recommend to others.

Room was next to stairs which when used by guest made quite a noise when closing.
