A Boutique Paradise – Contessina Suites & Spa, Zakynthos Our stay at Contessina Suites & Spa was absolutely unforgettable – truly one of the best boutique hotels we’ve ever experienced. From the very beginning, we felt the relaxed and welcoming atmosphere, thanks especially to the incredibly kind and attentive staff. We were lucky to receive a complimentary upgrade to a suite with a private pool and were warmly welcomed with a bottle of wine and a fresh fruit platter. At the end of our stay, we were even gifted a bottle of Contessina’s own olive oil – such a thoughtful gesture that made our departure bittersweet. Breakfast was a daily delight – fresh, varied, and always served with a smile. Every morning felt like a warm embrace. The on-site gym is small but modern, and for those wanting more space or equipment, the large and well-equipped gym at the sister hotel is just perfect. Highly recommended! This hotel combines luxury, soul, and genuine hospitality. We’ll be dreaming of Contessina for a long time to come.

The facilities, the room with the private pool, the restaurants, the spa, the whole concept is amazing, but the best of all is the fantastic staff!!! Always friendly, helpful and doing an extra mile to make our holidays unforgetable. We were very spoiled and the return back home was not easy. BTW the hotel is very close to the beach (3 mins walk distance), a plus for sea lovers 😉.

It would be nice to dedicate a special wing for smokers, to relax and enjoy your private pool is much better without the smoke of your neighbours.

A small and beautiful hotel, well laid out and close to the sea. The food was great as was the service and the facilities were fantastic. The focus of the property is very much on the pool at its centre and the surrounding loungers, so if that's not what you're after then perhaps not for you. But if mainly relaxing in the sun by the pool, in a very pleasant setting is what you're after then this will serve perfectly!

There's no downside I can see to be honest! We chose a room with a private pool which was great and more by luck than judgement it was facing away from the property as opposed to facing the pool. Having seen the layout of the rooms and private pools etc, I am very glad we got the rooms facing outward as the ones facing the pool, didn't offer much privacy and you as well have just been poolside! A small niggle which we were unaffected by as it turns out!

Very clean and beautiful hotel, and friendly staff. The service was exceptional. Maria (guest relations) was super present and took daily reviews of how we feel. We missed some healthy alternatives at the breakfast and lunch Menue and literally a day after us sharing our wishes they were fulfilled. Sarah (front desk manager) was super nice and helpful and did everything to make our stay as memorable as it turned out to be. Beautiful hotel, followed by super friendly staff. Absolutely happy to be back next year.

I have never experienced such polite, helpful, kind, attentive staff in my life. This was by far one of the best hotel experiences I’ve ever had. Everyone went above and beyond to accommodate our needs. Special mentions to Maria, another Maria, Emilia, Marinos, and Alexis. There was another beautiful girl who I’ve forgotten the name of, but all so helpful and kind.

Really beautiful hotel. Amazing breakfast. Helpful and friendly staff - special mention to Maria who checked us in and made sure we had a fabulous stay. We hired a car, which I highly recommend as the beach near the hotel is not the best. There was never any issues finding an available parking spot outside the hotel. We were in the private pool suite, it was beautiful. But we probably didn’t need a pool as we spent most of our time in the ocean and only used the pool once. Zakinthos is one of the most beautiful places I’ve visited. The beaches and ocean swimming is insane.

This is being fussy - the shower gel didn’t do a great job of getting off the many layers of sunscreen I had applied.

Staff going above and beyond, super friendly and attentive. Swimming pool with different seating areas, not just your typical sun beds but instead different beanbags, loungers, chaise lounges etc. - very well designed! Fine dining restaurant on site with a tasting menu, wine cellar with private wine tasting

The gym - very small with broken equipment, not what you expect in a 5* hotel

This hotel is proof that you can combine the beautiful with the useful. The design of the hotel and the whole area is amazing. The combination of cool concrete and wood with lots of wildlife transports your mind to another world. It's a beautiful oasis where everyone who stays here will relax without question. Everywhere we were surprised by the various details (f.e. professional speaker, hdmi adapter from fixed tv, scale, quality beauty and shower supplies etc) and the connection of all the senses into a whole that will leave you with the utmost satisfaction. We recommend reaching for larger rooms, ideally with a private pool to have enough space. The service was also impeccable. Every day you are taken care of first class by the entire hotel crew. Everyone is always smiling, happy to help with everything and always trying to minimize your activity within the hotel. Every day they still find a way to surprise and delight you. We recommend you also try the treatments at the aegean spa. Everything in the hotel fit together beautifully and created a unique whole. Thank you very much for everything!

Hotel is nice, design with swimming pools in the room is very good. Breakfast is nice. Location is nice. Generally staff try to be attentive.

We have been to multiple such adult-only nice hotels and price-quality is a bit high compared to say same hotels in Spain. Moreover, they have an app to order that really does not work and is quite frustrating. For me it never worked. Staff at breakfast messed our order every single time and ordering for the app was not an option for us. You would expect that at this level of pay and expected service there would not be so many mistakes.

The bed, pillows, shower, separate toilet, and room in general were all amazing. We had a room with a private pool which was nice. It was a 15 euro taxi to Zante Town. The main pool was amazing and the water temp was perfect. The staff was all very accommodating but shout out to Sarah who was great when we arrived and departed.

The music was terrible around the main pool. I am not sure who listens to whatever music they were playing but it was a huge vibe killer and I don't really understand why they wouldn't just play beach house, top 40, or literally anything else mellow?!?
