I was honestly afraid if this hotel would be ok since I know what Red Roof look like in America (pretty much homeless camp) However this Japanese one is completely different. Super clean, not that small room for Japanese standard(still small but it's ok size for 2adult or 1 adult and 2kids) A bit less than 10min walk distance to JR kamata station, grocery store, laundromat, lots of affordable restaurants . This hotel is going to be my usual from next time again. Love it

It was little noisy in the middle of the night. Probably drunk young people but I didn't feel like dangerous or crime area. Still peaceful and no problem to walk outside alone

The location is wonderful - in walking distance of lots of restaurants to try, activities like video games and karaoke, and a train station, but not crowded with tourists like other parts of Tokyo. We enjoyed several days just exploring and playing in Kamata. The staff are pleasant and accommodating. We appreciated the option to either request or opt out of cleaning each day using a sign on the door.

The included breakfast is only a couple mini pastries and a little fat-free yogurt cup (plus drinks including coffee). I enjoyed it but I was disappointed that it wasn't very filling.

All staff fluent in English easy to communicate. Convenient store walking distance 24 hours open. Kamata station close by easy to get around. Washing machine & dryer on 7th floor. Free tea, coffee station in the foyer. Money exchange machine in the foyer. We are able to leave our suitcase for a few days as we were going up north until our next check-in day.

Not sound proof. Can hear people slamming doors or walking in the hall way. (Some guests are disrespectful making noises at 1 or 2am). Staff should remind them about this.

Great location in the most dangerous neighbourhood in Tokyo! That earns guests some bragging rights. Kamata is a lovely hood buzzing with people and good food, near Shinagawa and Haneda Airport. Staff was nice to extend check out hours and charge $1000 yen for each hour until 2pm. Instead of charging me an extra day outright. They’re understanding and reasonable. Sorry for the late check out though.

There were some stains on the table upon check in. Walls are not fully sound proof, it’s quite noisy when you’re staying at the unit right outside of the only laundry machine in the hotel. Ear plugs are provided so I slept well.

The staff were nice and professional. We had to leave for the airport by taxi and the staff who helped us that morning was so nice. Mr. Ram communicated our needs to the taxi drivers and got me, my family, and their huge luggage to the airport with no problem. I will definitely stay here again because of him. I like the simple breakfast they had, but it's not the hotel's fault that so many guests didn't follow the rules and took more than what they should have. There are lots of restaurants and convenience stores in the area. And the convenience of having the train station there is what sold me on this property.

The location was a little bit far from the Keikyu station but close to the JR Kamata station. If you're coming from the airport with a lot of luggage (like we did) it was hard to take the train. But if you come with a little bit of luggage, everything was pretty much walking distance.

I like the room we got this time. Not so cramped I guess because it’s a double. We didn’t have to go thru same process again giving passport details as they already knew we were previous guests. We got our key straight away. I like how we can leave luggage after check out. It has one drier & washing machine. There is a money exchange machine in the foyer. Tea, coffee, soup packet all day in the foyer. All staff fluent in English easy to communicate.

Just the space is too cramped in the bathroom.

Excellent location. Close enough to the Haneda airport, but the airport doesn't disturb you at all. Friendly and helpful staff, I had some questions about how to do this or that during my stay, but all of them were quickly resolved. The room was very nice, clean and neat. Good air conditioner, a lot of sockets around the room, nice smelling shampoo and other bathroom stuff, a lot of towels - in short all the small details for convenient stay were there. Especially I liked buttons designed to switch on/off all the lights in the room near the headboard. I was happy to find out that there were also washing machine and drying machine on one of the floors + vending machine with some water and stuff. I was able to wash and dry all of my clothes approximately in 1,5h without going and looking for some place to do it anywhere outside the hotel. Convenience stores like Family Mart or Lawson can be found nearby. Bus station and Kamata subway station are also not far from the hotel. It was a great place to stay at while exploring Tokyo.

1. Short walk from Kamata station. Lots od shops and restaurants nearby including 7-11, etc. 2. Good wifi. Room had everything i needed including slippers, hairdryer, kettle etc. 3. free tea, coffee, water 24 hours in reception. Also get bread, tea/coffee, yogurt and juice for breakfast. 4. Luggage storage after check out was very handy as i had a late flight.

1. Room was small and the only place where i could open my large suitcase was by the door. 2. Hotel was in a red light district and i saw prostitutes in the street at night. It didn't really bother me and i just walked past them. 3. Communal areas look really worn out and old, especially the lift.

The room was ok as regards the space. The hotel is located on a back street and I could not hear much noise from the street. Air conditioning was also ok. The bathroom was well equipped. Location was good with 7/11 shop 100m away and the JR railway station (Kamata) 5 minutes away by foot, from there (25 min to Tokyo Station, 20 min. to Shimbashi Station where you can see Ghibli Clock and change for another JR line to Shibuya/Shinjuku). Just note that Kamata is on a commuters line so it can get very crowded during rush hours on work days, which could pose some challenge if you travel in a group with suitcases (but if you take the train after 9am it is suddenly becoming less crowded). The staff from the hotel was very friendly, provided advice on useful places nearby, lent us umbrellas when it was raining outside, etc. The hotel offered free tea/coffee next to the reception. Overall, fairly convenient location and good value for money.

The doors shut with some noise and I could hear people leaving/ returning to their rooms quite early morning when they were shutting their doors. The bathroom was rather small. The hotel did not offer breakfast although but it was not a major problem as you can get what you need for breakfast e.g. in 7/11.

Short walk from the JR station, close to a few convenience stores and in an easy to get to location. Rooms were nice with a good bed. Shower and toilet are together. Overall nice stay for an affordable price.

Nothing really to complain about.
