This was the most wonderful trip of my life. Everything was top-notch: the friendly, caring staff, the hotel’s architecture, the exquisite cuisine, the service, and the two beautiful beaches with crystal-clear water and white/black sand. Huge thanks to Gilderto for his positivity, helpful tips, and simply great vibes. The gym with an ocean view is something else. Live violin music at breakfast — amazing. I could go on and on listing all the advantages of this gorgeous hotel, but it’s better if you see it and feel it for yourself!

Everything was excellent!

What we liked: - Breakfast Buffets: The absolute highlight—everything was fresh and delicious. - Cheese Station: A great selection of cheeses to enjoy each morning. - Fresh Bread Loaves: Baked daily and absolutely divine. - Fresh Honeycomb: A big hit with my daughter, who loves honey. - Outstanding Customer Service: Huge thanks to Leticia and Alejandro in the dining room, and Orlando at the pool. Their attention to detail was incredible—by our second day, they remembered our names and even our usual orders. One morning, we returned from the buffet to find two cappuccinos already waiting at our table—just the way we liked them. - Immaculately Maintained Resort: Both the interior and exterior were spotless. - Comfort at the Pool: Blankets were available for cooler days, which was a thoughtful touch. Orlando was always ready to help set up lounge chairs wherever we wanted.

Areas for Improvement: - Given the high nightly rates, charging extra for water at dinner felt unnecessary. - The sushi on Asian theme night was disappointing. - Desserts were just okay—nothing particularly memorable.

I had an amazing stay at this hotel from the moment I arrived at the reception :) The staff were incredibly friendly and welcoming, always ready to help. The property is beautifully green with a large pool, and the food is delicious and varied. There is an à la carte restaurant on site, and right next to the hotel is La Torre del Mirador, where the seafood is simply incredible. Additionally, there are excellent Italian and Asian restaurants nearby. The room was spacious and comfortable, with an ocean view and a minibar, plus daily cleaning and fresh water replenishment. The poolside service was excellent, and the gym, which overlooks the ocean, was a highlight along with yoga classes. This is the perfect spot if you're not planning to travel around the island, as it offers everything you need — diverse beaches, a beautiful coastline, and delicious restaurants. However, if you do plan to explore the island, the location is also very convenient, with quick and easy access to Los Cristianos, Los Americas, and it's only a 5-minute drive to Siam Park and other attractions. The hotel offers free underground parking, and it has direct access to two sandy beaches, one with black volcanic sand. The breakwaters make swimming very pleasant. The location is fantastic — close to all major attractions but quiet and peaceful, away from clubs and parties. Every evening, there was live music at the hotel, adding a nice touch to the experience. I highly recommend this hotel for anyone seeking a high-quality vacation experience with friendly, smiling staff, great service, delicious food, beautiful beaches, and all the necessary amenities. The location and facilities are truly stunning, and staff are super friendly. It feels very private around the enormous pool and sun lounging area because it's very well laid out. This is absolutely a 5 star hotel and I would highly recommend staying here.

The main restaurant in the hotel is very good ( la Pergola), so I would eat there instead of the other restaurants outside of the hotel where Mirador guests get the 10% off (Restaurant Acanto etc.). Our experience of Acanto wasn't great, nor was Torre el Mirador restaurant just outside the hotel, actually. I would recommend instead to venture slightly further out and try real local cuisine instead.

The hotel had a wonderful ambiance & was beautifully appointed. Our room was also to a very high standard. The staff were exceptional, with special reference to Tiziana, Andrea, Stefano & Emmanuel. The buffet breakfast was also very good.

There was nothing we didn’t like but, as a vegetarian there could have been more vegetarian options in the dinner buffet & a few more pasta options, understanding you can’t cater for individuals.

The buffet food was simply amazing. The quality of everything was very good, but the amount of choices is just spectacular. The only thing about the food that I regret was not getting the recipe for the awesome Watermelon Steak dish that was served in the buffet one evening! The staff was extremely accommodating, but in a very unobtrusive and relaxed way. The room was cleaned twice a day. The vibe in general is very calm and peaceful and genuinely invites relaxation.

Sometimes it was unclear whether or not something is included in the price or do you have to pay extra and how much, especially as you simply "pay" via room number or room key card (which is very convenient) and you get billed at the checkout. That being said, I did not end up with any hidden costs that surprised me.

Absolutely everything!!! The most perfect hotel I’ve ever stayed at! The hotel, the facilities, the pool & sun area, the restaurants, the bars, the rooms, the view … we’re all incredible. Overall though it is the staff that make this hotel what it is. Every single one of them are a testament to the hotel, so friendly, attentive & helpful. They make you feel super special & you can see they genuinely enjoy their job! Thank you Grand El Mirador… you’ve been fantastic & I can’t wait to come back!

Nothing!!! Only suggestion is perhaps an update in the rooms to refresh & consideration of charging points at both sides of the bed.

Pool area is excellent. Service and facilities are top notch. Breakfast is very good. Bar and evening entertainment is also much better than other similar hotels in the area. Room is also very good (junior suite with sea view) though the balcony was quite small.

The lunch options around the pool are very limited and the quality is poor. For example the pizza option is bet was out of a box and heated.

Had to wait 2 days for the room we had booked, staff trying to convince us it was the room we booked, but we know you over book because it was our 6th time staying with you and the same thing had happened before! First room had little air-conditioning and a blocked shower. Not really acceptable for the cost of staying with you. Needs somewhat livelier entertainment in the evenings

Fab-u-lous breakfast, wonderful location, excellent service, La Pergola - superb restaurant and Stefano is a great Maitre'd. Carla - assistant manager is very helpful and makes sure she sees the guests daily.

Booking direct seems to be more expensive than using Booking.com. Can't get my Iberostar membership to work - Been twice since I enrolled.
