The Staff were lovely, helpful and welcoming, and the hotel itself was clean and warm. I booked this hotel as I had an overnight lay over at Malaga airport and it calls itself Travelodge Malaga airport. It advertises that it has an airport shuttle but the shuttle is an expensive car hire company that you book separately. You can catch the A line bus but it’s a difficult walk particularly with luggage, over a bridge crossing a dual carriageway, to find a hotel that is poorly signed so is not obvious, and the bus only runs during daytime so an early start or a late arrival means a taxi anyway as the hotel is about a 10 minute drive away and it is not possible to walk as the road layout does not allow for it. That said it was a necessary stay for me and I was comfortable and slept well.

Modern, clean, comfortable and friendly. Our flight landed just after midnight but this hotel has a 24 hour reception desk so we were able to check in really late. It was nice to see the option of an after midnight check up n when we made the booking

It was nothing that the hotel could alter but although it is close to the airport you can’t walk to the hotel. The short journey cost 27 euros in a taxi and from the airport the bus stop isn’t close. However getting to the airport from the hotel by bus is really easy as you are on the right side of the highway and the bus stop is just outside the hotel parking and in front of the Repsol garage.

This review comes in two parts, the hotel and the service. The Hotel We had a late arriving flight and decided to book the Malaga Airport Travelodge rather than driving through the night our final destination. The hotel itself is a good example of a TraveLodge. Fairly basic but modern , clean and well looked after. Refreshements were available from a bar / cafe until midnight and then from an easy to use vending machine after that. All in all, what you would expect from an budget airport hotel. The Service This is where the hotel far exceeded our expectations. Both my partner and I were very tired when we arrived and it would be fair to say we were far from the easiest of guests. The night manager Abel went way beyond the call of duty to accomodate us. He was calm, friendly and professional and , as someone who works with the hospitality industry, provided the kind of service every front desk should have. Thank you so much for your help Abel.

The guys are the reception were very helpful, especially the gentleman on the night shift on 1st Dec night. I had some trouble with taxi asking for cash in advance instead of taking a card payment and the hotel reception staff brought the cash for me so that I don't get delayed since I was late for my flight. It was a great gesture and I think this is something unforgettable and the only reason the hotel gets a 10/10 score. The place was decent and the room was clean, everything was good and how it should be. It was great value for money as well especially given I was there only for few hours to sleep before my early morning flight. The hotel is perfect if you want to rest due to awkward flight timings. The staff are brilliant The rooms are very comfortable and very clean

Nothing, it's a great place

The room was comfortable enough. This hotel is perfect for a stop over with an early flight. Friendly staff. We will stay again. You can catch the local bus into Malaga from across the main road. I like the 12 noon check-in, and the reception is 24 hours.

No shuttle bus to the airport. The hotel is not more than a 10 minute drive at a cost of €18 -€20. We did know in advance we needed to use the taxi, I guess it's just unfortunate as it is an airport hotel. This is not a deal breaker. The hotel is good. You can arrange a taxi booking through the front desk.

24 checkin after late flight arrival, nice breakfast

trying to find it! my satnav didnt work for some reason and I drove round and round a lot in the area before finding it - even the petrol station guy didnt know it although it was a few hundred yards away - reason is I think it is not ON the street of its address but round the back and no signage to help that I saw - but it was late, I was tired so may have missed something even though I had a google maps printout which seemed easy enough on paper Otherwise no problems.

Our arrival went well , pleasant staff, clean room, evening meal was very nice, well presented, tasty and inexpensive, the staff were attentive and service was excellent.

Taxi driver at the airport didn’t know hotel by Travelodge name, but after a long time going round in circles finally kept repeating “Campanile”. It was not obvious from the dual carriageway main road where the hotel was situated as no signage was visible, the front of the hotel faces away from this main thoroughfare. Other hotels had yellow info signs at traffic lights and junctions which would have helped. I had originally unsuccessfully tried to find it myself in a hire car but gave up as we couldn’t find it. Secondly I used the last of my cash to pay the taxi only to find out that if I wanted to get some more money I would have to go back to the airport as there are no cash machines in the local area.

Staff were very welcoming and helpful, the room was stylish, clean and functional (it had a fridge, for example) and bed was comfortable

The location was reasonably convenient for buses into Malaga, but was a major weak point because the layout of the road network made it very difficult to get to on foot from the airport - although it looks near on the map a taxi is essential for this complex journey. Also the restaurant menu - especially vegetarian options - was very limited.

For us the location was fine and our flight had been cancelled, but wouldn’t recommend it for a romantic getaway. A shame about the plants outside, there is a watering system which waters the ground not the plants! As we had been up all night it was lovely that we could check in early I.e 9am and just put our heads down for a few hours, other hotels do not provide this service. Very few taxi drivers knew of this hotel

The evening menu was not good

The staff was friendly and helpful throughout my entire stay. I appreciated the cleanliness of the hotel. My room was cleaned every day. Although the hotel is a little bit far away from the city center, I didn't find this to be an issue at all. In fact, it was quite convenient that several buses stopped right in front of the hotel, making it easy to get around. Additionally, the fact that there were buses to the airport nearby was a huge plus for me.

In terms of amenities, the only thing that was missing was a fridge in the room. Additionally, the breakfast was a little bit pricey.
