Got the pool side view corner room with sea view which was magic! Great medium-pillow top bed. Pillows were half dissolved, got them changed to full filled pillows. WiFi was excellent, as I was working with teams video calls. No issues. Room is a good size for a couple, AC is solid being silent, although If you leave it on day and night, the outdoor ac unit will start making a noise. Bathroom is excellent, with a 4 head big shower and bath-tub. The pool and jacuzzi to sit in sippin cocktails with amazing koh chang sunsets was awesome! Service from reception and cleaning team was A1. Here is the kicker, which I haven't given this a 10/10 review and should give it a 5. . On the 2nd last day I went for a swim in the sea and by the shore I sat on the sand as the waves crashed into me.. For about 5-10 mins. By the end of the next day, I notice the horror on my body, of sand flies has attacked me ferrociasly. Surely, and I mean, surely the local staff at this resort KNOW ABOUT THE DAMN SAND FLIES, and don't take the INTIATIVE to notify their guests at check-in is bloddy absurd. I have to suffer with nursing these lesions on my holiday for the next week or 2, where I can't swim or do anything that may infect it. Common Klong Prao Resort STAFF, step it up a little more and make sure your guests don't get savagely attacked by doing what most do on a beach, sit or lie on IT - SO WARN YOUR GUESTS ABOUT THE DAMN SAND FLIES!!!!!!

The sand flies

This was our second stay in this resort. What I liked about this resort? Pretty much everything. We booked 3 beach front villas and although fully booked they managed to give us all three villas next to each other. Villas are new, modern, spacious, I have never seen a bed that large its like two king beds together. Each villa has its own wifi router which is great. There is a shower and a bath tub in each villa and that is also great. The views are just amazing, breakfast is top, so many choices. We have stayed there 9 nights last year and 7 nights this year and had no problems getting different food every day. Staff is friendly and helpful. They remodeled the pool since last year, its twice the size it was with a very nice surrounding and a beach bar. Klong Prao beach is just beautiful, no rocks, just sand. Many restaurants, shops etc. withing walking distance. But its best to rent a scooter and than you can go anywhere. You can park you scooter comfortably next to your villa or in one of many parking places throughout the resort. There was considerably less russians this year than there was last year which was definitely a plus. There is also a shop directly in the resort which has prices similar to 7-11 and sells beer all day long (unlike 7-11).

Be careful not to lose anything. There is room keys, slippers, beach bag and bath robes in the room. If you lose any of those things it will cost you dearly .

This resort ticks all the right boxes in such a smart way that its shortcomings don't affect the whole experience. It is located on a paradise tropical beach and offers lots of sunbeds to enjoy your time there. The whole property is very green and beautiful. Value for money is exceptional. The rooms are basic but comfortable enough. The on-site restaurant was excellent - good choice, great taste and reasonable prices. Once outside your room you feel like in a high class resort. Of course it is not a 5 star property and one shouldn't expect it. The biggest disappointment for me was the breakfast buffet. Food options are very limited, western food even more so. All drinks are if the lowest posible quality. However, at the end of the day it didn't really matter as we didn't go on vacation for the breakfast, right?! So all in all I can easily recommend the place. It delivers great value for its price, you can't beat the location and I will return gladly.

it was our 3rd stay at this place. location was good for us, area of the hotel is beautiful, own pond with fishes. good breakfast(Thai and european style)

some visitors left a plastic bag with garbage near sun bed on the beach, this bag was laying there for 2 days the staff didn’t pay any attention to it(no nice words to the visitors who let the plastic back, but the staff should monitor the beach time to time)

I really enjoyed my time at the hotel. It is on a beautiful beach which was kept spotlessly clean by staff. There were plenty of sunbeds on the beach and lovely shade from the many trees. The staff were helpful and polite, staff in the breakfast room made sure food was restocked and tables cleared quickly. My room was very comfortable and I was lucky to have a view of the sea.

There are lots of mosquitos around on Koh Chang (not the fault of the hotel) but on arrival I bought a Baygon spray from the supermarket nearby and sprayed my room every morning and evening. This solved any mozzie problem.

Excellent facilities, clean rooms, beautiful beach, convenient shop and restaurant. Staff helpful in organising taxis for us.

Some issues with bugs which was sorted. Rooms were a bit dark, but clean. Breakfast was the same each day - large buffet (Thai style) but not a lot of fruit options. Location is excellent but be mindful you may need taxis to get around. We also stayed on white sand beach and preferred Klong Prao resort.

We ended up upgrading to the villas..The villas are nice, basic but have what you need. Beds are a good size and the aircon works well. Staff are.helpful.Gym on site is good although treadmill could be better but nothing major. Pool is lovely and has lots of sunbeds.

Orignal room before we upgraded this is only down to my preference as I don't like bugs and it was facing the lake. The lake is gorgeous and adds to the feel but bugs are a no from me. Fire ants by the toilet twice but as soon as we informed the staff they helped and fixed the problem.

The Resort is Beautiful and really well set out, the pool is great with a lovely panoramic view of the Sea, the Buffet breakfast is Excellent and the restaurant is reasonably priced if you’re lazy to venture out in the evening, one of the best things about the resort is the on site mini mart where you can buy your own food and drink and sit and drink it on the beach!

Everything was good No complaints

The location, beach and pool area are idyllic, the staff are 1st class and always willing to help if required. The rooms are a little dated but always clean and comfortable. There is a resort next door that plays exceptionally loud Asia/ rave music, with lots of "whoop whooping until 11.30 pm at weekends, unfortunately our superior room was the closest to the P A system if 150 decibels plus is your thing then fill your boots.

Great location , rooms kept exceptionally clean , right on a fantastic beach , breakfast as good as can be expected ,swimming pool area absolutely fantastic , good restaurants close by .. will booking for next year when back home

Could benefit from a bit more storage and more than 4 hangers..Problems with toilet occasionally overflowing and not clearing all the time although staff did wash the manhole every couple of days,, sunbed lice who hog beds at sunrise and don't show all day ,,,
