The hotel is like a tropical paradise and very well maintained. I arrived early and they called me to say my room was ready earlier so i could use it at 11 a.m. already. I really liked that. The room is big and really nice. It has all a person needs to enjoy the holiday to the fullest. The breakfast has many options and is really nice. The staff were all very friendly and helpfull and very professional. If you have a problem they solve it for you as quickly as possible. The level of english in the lobby was very good. I was there for 10 nights and i was very unlucky with the weather, but the hotel puts a smile on your face anyway :) :) To be honest, Centara was the most beautiful hotel i saw on Koh Chang. If i ever go back to Koh Chang i will definitely stay there again.

Smokers must be restricted in areas. Not smoking in places while others are eating or banned from social areas.

The hotel is situated in a lovely garden along a long and wide beach, very clean and picturesque. The view is spectacular. The Premium Cabana was very spacious and comfortable for a family of 4. Waking up to such a wonderful view of a lush tropical garden was a great start of a day. The outside shower was as well a very nice experience. The cocktails and the drinks at the pool bar were delicious and high quality, not watered down, and the prices were more than reasonable. There were several activities for the kids near the pool and the lady in charge was very friendly and open and spoke English well, as opposed to the other staff.

At the beginning, the staff tried to downgrade the room to a simple cabana made up for '4' people. They didn't tell us, just sent us to this type of room, with a metal additional bed and one made out of a divan. The space was half of the one we paid for and a lot less comfortable and well maintained. As soon as we escalated the problem, they said that they thought that this will suffice and will be better for us since it's closer to the pool. After I complained that it's not acceptable, they took us to a type of cabana that we actually booked and was indeed far superior. This was a lousy approach and attempt to downgrade. The breakfast was plenty and somewhat varied but not excellent quality.

reat stay at the Centara Resort on Koh Chang island. Sunsets here are amazing. The Centara is located about 250 meters off of the main road.....a good thing. This keeps most noise generated by the main road , at a minimum. Check-in was seamless and easy. The front desk was welcoming and friendly.. Centara is set in a very tropical setting. Palms, orchids , and plumeria are all landscaped into a beautiful park like setting with small fish -populated canals running throughout the grounds. The rooms, { I rented 3 different cabana types) were all comfortable but in need of some updating and refreshing . The AC, TV, and WiFi all worked well. Showers were great, too. ●●● BE aware...mosquitos can be an issue at all of the resorts on Koh Chang. Centara is no exception. ●●● Breakfast was decent, and all breskfast staff was super friendly and helpful. . There were both Asian and Western breakfast foods available. The pool was great. There are 2 pools on site, I only used the pool close to the beach. There were plenty of sunbeds available. The beach is just steps from the pool . Easy beach access at several points from the pool area. ●● Be aware that sandflies can be a real nuisance close to the beach on Koh Chang ●● The atmosphere at Centara is a relaxed and chilled out vibe. Mosquitos and sand flies

My family and I enjoyed the water slide and pool bar, as well as the delicious buffet breakfast. The cabana we were in was very cozy, and the bed was very comfortable. We also experienced an outside shower! Also enjoyed the bath. Surrounds were beautiful and relaxing and cabana was a nice chill place to stay when it rained. We enjoyed the free activities too such as yoga and muay Thai. We also got late check out when we asked.

It would be a little better if rooms were ready for 3pm (check in time).People reserved loungers early in the morning and it would be great if staff didn't allow this and removed their towels.

rooms need renovation, they look torn down, a lot of broken little things with pool stage, walkways , dirty pool matress , really worn out towls at splash pool and there no matress for sunchairs at all what is not ok for an 4 star hotel.:((..was there 3 weeks, ask several times and alwys told tmr then:((

Environment, garden, swimming pools and beach. Christmas atmosphere was great. The staff was nice and helpful.

Resort seems a little old în some pieces of furniture, towels and bathroom.

Everything. Beautiful resort. Rooms was spacious and super clean. Breakfast was amazing with a buffet that would suit everyone's taste. Staff friendly and helpful. We mostly and our dinners across the "lagoon" with many restaurants available with good prices. Swimming pool beautiful. Peace and relaxing atmosphere. Would recommond this resort to everyone.

We had one negative experience with the private taxi which the hotel recommended to us. Driver drove very fast and over the speed limits. It was our trip from hotel to Koh Samet which was really not pleasant.

Friendly staff big room comfy bed. Quality smart TV with no English speaking channels. Poor TV connection. I spoke to the hotel management team & they quickly put an excellent fix in place for my room. I was then able to enjoy watching TV.

Needs more electricity points in rooms. Lots of small fixes could be done easily ie curtains being adjusted (put back on hooks to run smoothly, loose fixtures in bathroom, light fittings made secure. Quality materials use, but not regularly maintained.

It’s in the quieter part of Ko Chang, however there are several good restaurants within walking distance so it’s not entirely cut off. The ocean at the location was very calm, not very deep and quite suitable for kids to swim in. The property has lovely tropical trees and plants which have a very soothing effect, feels green and vibrant. It’s a beautiful place to relax in. The staff puts in a lot of effort and happy vibes to Your stay. Loved the yoga on the beach.

The food has a lot of scope for improvement. Lots of variety is there but not necessarily great quality of cooking. We were in the premium cabana room which was very spacious with an outdoor bath tub as well, the room was tired and in need of maintenance. Pools also have several loose tiles. Too many geckos but that comes with the territory.
