Heydays are certainly behind it, but still a well maintained place with a wooden palace and splendid jungle like garden. Great swimming opportunities both in the pool and beach.

Inability of the staff to keep loud groups from Moscow in their place.

Fantastic breakfast, even gluten-free bread available upon request. The staff is exceptional, extremely nice and helpful. Rooms are spacious and super clean. Great method to communicate with the front desk by whatsapp.

AC was not strong enough to keep the set temperature in the room, there is no actual sand available to enjoy at the beachfront because the water line there is very high. The big problem is that the property is not sustainable enough. Many things could have been improved - e.g. reusable water bottles instead of plastic bottles, drinking water dispensers, encouraging guests to reuse beach towels etc. I also found it quite difficult to find vegan options in the restaurants.

Santhiya Tree Resort is a true paradise on the already heavenly island of Koh Chang. Words cannot fully capture the beauty and magic of this place, where we spent an unforgettable seven days as a family. From the breathtaking architecture and decor of the resort to the incredible staff, who are nothing short of angels—always helpful, always smiling, and anticipating your every need—everything about this place is simply exceptional. One of the unique experiences begins with breakfast, where you take off your shoes before entering the dining area. What awaits inside is a vast selection of local and international dishes, served on a spacious terrace overlooking the stunning pool and the mountainous landscape of the island. We chose a pool villa, which turned out to be the perfect sanctuary of tranquility and privacy, especially when traveling with children. It was an excellent choice—the villa was beautifully designed, and having access to a private pool 24/7 made it almost impossible to resist spending most of our time swimming and relaxing. The main pool, located right by the beach, is equally impressive. No crowds, crystal-clear water, a stylish design, and the proximity to the shore create the perfect setting to unwind and soak in the island atmosphere. Dinners at the resort are pure magic—outdoors, accompanied by breathtaking sunsets that add to the unforgettable ambiance. The hotel offers fantastic promotional dining experiences that are absolutely worth trying. Many of these special evenings are enhanced by live performances of local music, traditional instruments, or mesmerizing fire shows. The resort’s spa is another highlight, offering expertly performed massages in a setting designed for complete relaxation. Once again, the staff go above and beyond to ensure your comfort and well-being. To sum up, Santhiya Tree Resort is a solid 10/10 in my book and firmly holds a spot in my personal Top 3 hotels worldwide.

The staff were exceptionally polite, helpful and went above and above and beyond to ensure that our stay went well, including celebrating our teenage daughter’s birthday with us. The resort itself is stunning with lovely grounds and two beautiful pools. The breakfast restaurant and view is exceptional. We stayed in a pool villa, which was beautifully secluded, clean and restful. The location is very tranquil and away from the main road. If you need to get in to the shops and restaurants on the main road this is easily done by hotel transport, songthaew taxi or by a 15 minute walk, with added bonus of macaque spotting along the way.

There was nothing we didn’t like - it even pleased the teenagers.

Amazing service, wonderful facilities and great atmosphere and architecture. Most rooms come with a private pool with mountain views and the option to watch the sunrise. During our stay, we were met with wonderful service, and a smile to go with it. The comfort of the rooms are very good, and the bed is hard but nice to sleep on. I Will definitely come back one day!

We stayed in two different rooms. Three nights we stayed at an apartment with a private pool overlooking the mountains. And 2 nights at the hideaway villa. The aircondition in the apartment wasn't working very well, and the room could get a little warm, but it was still functional and cooled the room adequately.

We had a truly wonderful stay. The staff were exceptionally kind, attentive, and always available for anything we needed. Being able to communicate with them easily via whatsapp was a real plus and made everything smooth and convenient. The breakfast was rich, varied, and absolutely delicious. The pools are stunning, the sunsets are breathtaking, and the beach is beautiful and very pleasant to swim in. Although we visited offseason and some renovations were being made in preparation for the upcoming season, it did not disturb our stay at all. In fact, it was nice to see how well they maintain the property. Additional highlights worth mentioning: The atmosphere is relaxed and welcoming, perfect for families as well as couples. The rooms were clean, spacious, and comfortable. We would happily come back again and highly recommend this place to anyone looking for a relaxing and enjoyable stay!

It was sometimes difficult to get beach towels.

We absolutely loved our time at the Santhiya Tree. We chose one of the river view rooms with private pool and it was the most beautiful room I have ever stayed in. It was all wood with touches of ceramic items and welcoming lighting. The large glass sliding doors opened up to a veranda with an infinity pool overlooking the river, green hills and mangroves. Relaxing on the daybed looking out over the pool whilst listening to the sound of all the tropical birds was definitely a highlight of our stay. There beautiful hotel pool is surrounded by palm trees and comfy sunbeds and gorgeous beach in front of the hotel is palm-fringed with white sand and turquoise water. The staff were really lovely and did an excellent job of looking after us. We were really sad to leave.

I didn't think the breakfast was 5* quality. The selection was quite limited and it tasted average. The only things I enjoyed were the eggs, the fruits and the coffee.

Excellent hotel and facilties. Swimming pool was fantastic as was the beach which was next to the pool. Restaurant was excellent too serving very good Thai and Western food at very reasonable prices including a generous food, drinks and spa allowance within the basic price. Staff were particularly friendly and attentive.

The room looked very nice but was getting a little 'tired' with worn bathroom fittings and poor water pressure. Very limited selection of beers in the restaurant - mainly the usual Thai lagers which was disappointing for a top quality hotel.

If you like traditional Thai style feel this is great, the grounds are well kept and the main building is very unusual. The pool and beach are are great. Breakfast was okay but the views made it even better.

This is not near the main road and lacks local restaurants/shops. They do provide a shuffle bus but you need to stick to these times. Their restaurant is limited but food was well presented. The main issue for me is this site is very dated, we was in low season and they were doing work but the rooms, buildings and fittings very old.

Stunning grounds and beautiful teak accommodation. good location, lovely staff clean, decent food.

The cost of the food with the VAT plus service charge on top of bills. We only ate in the hotel once due to the cost. Most guests ate elsewhere the restaurants at the hotel were never busy. We understand the costs will be higher in a nicer resort and we expected that, but the costs with the added 10% service charge and 7% added vat also it was just far too expensive to eat and drink here. Maybe they do not need as many staff and could costs that way, there seemed to be lots of staff around not doing much, especially on reception.
