The room cleaning lady was superb! The entertainment crew and also the kids club they were superb. The different restaurant staff were very professional, the tall Pizza guy by the pool and the buffet by the beach Excellent crew very attentive and professional.

The main buffet waitresses staff working on the right side once entering the venue they need extensive training. The breakfast crew and dinner crew ladies. They were not pleasant, they weren't cordial, and they seem not to like working there. This should be unacceptable by your standards. The first few days My family and I ate at the main buffet but after going to the buffet by the beach and the other restaurants which we love and it was a much different atmosphere and all the staff were very professional and pleasant, especially the servers.

The resort is expansive, offering plenty of activities. The privileged room I stayed in was incredibly spacious, and I believe all the rooms boast wonderful views. The kids' activities, along with the availability of small cars for transportation, make it family-friendly. As an all-inclusive resort, both the food and alcoholic beverages exceeded expectations, with the Christmas Eve experience standing out for its exceptional food, service, and shows. The beach, characterized by its wild beauty, adds to the overall charm of the resort

Most staff are nice at first, but if you ask for help or don't give a tip, they're not as friendly. The customer service seems good at first, but they often promise to fix things without really doing much unless you insist, tip, or wait a long time. For example, I waited 2 hours for new sheets even though I said it was urgent and I just needed the sheets, making myself clear that I will make.myself the bed. We also had trouble getting beach towels on 3 out of 6 days, and one time they said there were no more towels around 4 pm. These are just few examples and These situations can make the holiday unpleasant, especially for families with small babies like us.

I didn’t like how I wanted to check out a day earlier and they wanted to charge me for the extra day that I had booked. I had a family emergency that I had to get to and I felt like I shouldn’t have been charged for the extra day that I wasn’t there. The front desk was unorganized and they didn’t process my payment when we checked in then thought that we were going to pay them and then has security watch out for us. Then they locked us out our room and we couldn’t get my things.

We stayed in Catalonia for eight nights in a ground floor Privileged room.  The hotel on a whole was fantastic, one of the best we’ve ever been to.  The resort is so beautiful, we loved the gardens, the little lake and it’s stress free area where you can just enjoy watching the ducks, the birds, the fish or read a book.  We loved the wide sandy beach and all the palm trees.  It felt like a real paradise! The staff are kind and warm, they work so hard and are happy to help with anything you need.  Many thanks to the staff at La Palapa restaurant by the beach, who made our little girl’s 2nd birthday so special.  They helped by organising a birthday lunch for her and her holiday friends.  They all sang happy birthday to her, provided a cake (with the help of guest services), and made sure the adults were having a great time also! The entertainment team were absolutely fantastic, the best we've ever seen in any of the resorts we've been. They didn’t hold back when accosting you into activities and they never seem to tire of dancing!  They were particularly great with our Daughter and organised a Birthday applause for her at the pool party.  Thanks Ricky!  Finally the Mr Catalonia show was by far the funniest thing I’ve ever seen in a resort although, I was very pleased I wasn’t a contestant! Things to be aware of before coming: A)- If you like to tip like us, it’s far easier to arrive with plenty of $1 and $5 bills as opposed to bigger notes as changing to smaller currency in the resort is a real challenge.  This is even more difficult if like us, you arrive with Dominican Pesos, in the typical large notes provided in a currency exchange.  Despite going to reception around twice everyday, only once were they able to change one of my larger notes to smaller ones.  This meant that in order to tip, I would have to negotiate an exchange to dollars with the bell boy, and then return to the front desk for a change to dollar bills.

This was my first holiday in Punta Cana, I was given a beautiful ground floor room, because of a bad leg, near the beach and the pool, thanks to Edwin and Ruth. They were extremely helpful and kind. As were all the staff in the hotel. The gardens were magnificent, with beds next to a magical lagoon, if you wanted to be in a quiet space. The beach and pool were great, good food with friendly waiters, what more could you want? I needed a break from a big city, to relax and feel I was being taken care of and I definitely got what I wanted and more !!

Just one tiny thing that disturbed me was the Club Lookea, they were much too loud, childish and not entertaining at all, but that's just my opinion.

Beautiful beaches, friendly staff, there is everything you need such as hair dresser, SPA, shops, different restaurants etc. The food is really good, and the buffet has a large selection of meals We had a wonderful time there

The only complaint we have is about the person who did our check in. She was not really kind and did not explain us anything about the hotel, how the “all inclusive” works. She did not tell us where our room was, we had to ask, and she barely point out the direction…

Beautiful and well kept grounds and facilities.

Initial booking was on non-updated rooms. Despite being labeled as Junior Suites, the rooms are extremely outdated. We had to upgrade to what they call “Priviledge by Catalonia”, which are more in tune with the price that we paid. please, do not go there unless you upgrade to the Priviledge rooms!!! The buffet food is OK; the restaurants are way subpar. The personnel is not customer oriented by any means. Staff not attentive, and most likely the worst element in the whole picture. Not sure how can this be solved.

Love the layout, location, comfort

Every minute someone is bombarding you trying to sell you something. It’s so annoying. Nonstop. Walked to the beach to relax & I had to tell one, at least give me a chance to at least sit and finish my drink please. Its annoying. Especially for person’s coming from high stress jobs.

The food was good, excellent. Variety of European and Caribbean.

The room very outdated, smell of mold. The Air-conditioning make horrible noise. Part of staff still wild. In sted of good morning or other greeting says ( Que quieres ?)

The site is perfect, the beach is lovely, the entertainment team is really the best. Everything was just lovely and fun I recommend taking more than 3 nights, and to pay extra for the renovated rooms, it's worth it
