Jennifer in the lobby bar area was AMAZING! This establishment needs more staff like this young lady. She gave 5 star treatment!

The pool area staff was horrible. I sat there for over an hour (twice), and was never approached with a menu for food/drinks. It was not crowded the second time around and the staff would just pass me by. I got up and purchased Uber Eat for food/ drinks.

Everything thing and all the staff except the receptionist at my arrival. Shout out to Karla at the restaurant and all the restaurant staff, shout outs to the bellboys and a very big shout out to my room attendant. Listen all the staff. This hotel is nice for just relaxing which was my goal for this trip. The view of the Ocean from the bed and the entire room was exceptionnel.

The receptionist that checked me in and the fact that the mini bar was closed but yet still I had to leave a $200 deposit and once that $200 was up I had to use my cc which I did not want to do. Plus my boyfriend left 1 day before me but we still had to pay the city tax for the night he was not there. English is spoken by SOME of the staff but not really understood. The air conditioning was so noisey and if u are a light sleeper do not take a room that faces the street, because you will hear everything. The air conditioning was also sweeting and water was dropping onto the carpet. Great hotel but needs refurbishing.

Most of everything, we liked the attentive treatment we received from the bellboys and the front desk. The location was ideal for what we had planned to do in the city and the view from the room was great.

The breakfast was very good but extremely expensive. Another unfortunate situation was caused by the maid service. One day, the room was not cleaned and the towels were not changed. The maid said that she didn't have time, because she was taking care of some other rooms that were been repaired. The following day we had to remind her to do our room, and she left us with just one towel.

Everything about this hotel was excellent and amazing. Really nothing to complain about. The staff were so friendly, courteous and exemplary. As a very frequent traveller I wish I could get this perfect service everywhere I go but unfortunately I don't. Really exceptional service and atmosphere at the Catalonia. The view from the room was certainly fantastic. The complimentary welcome cocktail and complimentary espresso the other morning was more than I ever expected. The breakfast is the perfect start to the day: all-you-can-eat healthy food served, fresh and delicious local fruits with unbeatable taste. I rate the Catalonia as the best stay in Santo Domingo.

The location and the rooms were great . Breakfast options were okay . Didn’t stay long enough to experience it all but my stay was great ! Friendly and welcoming staff . The drinking water in the room tasted so good . Affordable cost . I find the location perfect if you are into the beach and more city side of Santo Domingo . The welcome drinks was tasty.

I recommend a bed slipper in the room , the floor away from the carpets were cold . Also warmer sheets and comforters are recommended, the room was cold even when the Ac was off . But my stay was great ! No regrets .

The young lady who checked my significant other and I in was kind enough to give us a room on the 12th floor with Oceanfront and the best City View. The elevator ride is very pleasurable. It’s clear glass, bullet like shape gives an amazing feeling when you go up to your room. The pool side service was A1. Yari is what we called her, made the best mojitos. Melida in the breakfast area was extremely attentive, engaging and knowledgeable on the breakfast buffet. She always give a refill upon needing more champagne. Thank you thank you amiga.

The door to the mini fridge in room 1206 was broken off when my significant other and I arrived to the room. We didn’t want to complain because the views from the room were phenomenal. Later on, the pool attendant got an engineer to fix the mini fridge, turning our experience around. Housekeeping, 7/10 received good service overall minus one day that my significant other and I had to sleep on the mattress with no linen. Later that night the housekeeping came to the room and made my bed.

The room is exquisite with a great view of the sea. It was very clean with all the amenities needed including a coffee maker and more than enough supply of drinking water. The breakfast was equally nice with a variety of local delicacies included in the menu.

I had to pay a $100 deposit refundable upon check-out. I somehow missed this information in booking.com. The fridge in the room was locked as it is reserved for minibar items.

Quality hotel, good facilities etc Staff all very pleasant and helpful.

A) Being knocked up at 0815 Sunday morning by 'Housekeeping' asking what time we were leaving. We had a night flight and told reception we would be around until noon. B) Room 1510 Ugly black stains in the bath. Looked like a hair dye that was stubborn. Something could have been done to have removed it not a pleasant experience using bath/shower....

This property is absolutely beautiful & amazing. All the staff to include the front desk, bell men, servers & housekeepers had the most wonderful customer service. There was never a time I felt unsafe as they have security 24/7. The Breakfast Buffett is so upscale & delicious with many options. The location is fabulous! So close to all the hot destinations. The Pool area is beautiful & the water had the perfect temperature. I highly recommend this property for families, friends or business.

Amazing! Love the ambience. I felt bougie at a fraction of the price. This hotel is beautiful and the breakfast is A1. If you still here you will get the classy feel with the Caribbean feel. Way better than a resort and the beach is not a far drive. It’s in a prime location so you can get the culture vibe and pretty much explore. If you stay there go to MIXER it’s a club with a pool. Make sure you go with your bathing suit and be ready to have a great time.
